Why mushrooms are green in colour?
The only green mushroom I've heard of is the Parrot Wax Cap, which I believe is native to Great Britain. Perhaps they are common there? Most mushrooms are whitish to brown, although there are some colorful ones which are red or orange.
Why green, is a little harder to answer. Fungus, of course, doesn't produce chlorophyll, nor does fungus need to blend in with its surroundings since the mushroom is not vital to the life of the fungus. The mushroom is merely used to spread its spores, and typically only survives a couple of days, while the main body of the fungus - the mycelia - lives underground. Bright colors can attract birds and insects, helping to spread the spores.
Perhaps you are thinking of green mold? Molds get their color from their spores, and the spores get their color from quinones. Again, bright colors can attract insects and birds, helping to spread spores.
Because the fly agaricus (Amanita muscaria) does not contain psilocybin. It therefore isn't much fun and there is no need to ban it. Why are all the deadly mushrooms legal and the psilocybin mushrooms (which have never caused a death) are illegal?
Did gravy get kicked out of mushroom head?
yes,and his brother pig benis, also band was getting stale.jeff and skinny want new blood to add creativity to there music !!
What district characteristics of mushrooms zeast and molds make them different from green plants?
ewan ko lang:>
The West Wing.
No, Black Truffles have spores. The spores are spread by boars and the larvae of the truffle fly.
Do all magic mushrooms bruise blue?
Almost all psilocybin containing mushrooms bruise blue (the bluing is the oxidization of psilocin). That being said there are other non psilocybin active mushrooms that also bruise blue.
I have cooked them in brownies before and they were potent...
Nope you can't heat them up they lose their potency, However you can boil them in tea or sauce, you can also grind them up and use them as a seasoning after your item is finished cooking. Enjoy its fun
Well,yes it is,but if u don't like eat that,u shouldn't put them on. :)
Are magic mushrooms legal in Utah?
Yes they are legal in all states except CA, GA, and ID. These states have laws preventing p. cubensis from being sold but federally there is no restriction.
Where you get a giant mushroom weed plant from?
Currently, bid stands at $382 on eBay. That wasting last time I checked. I suppose you can just fill a mushroom with weed too
How do you estimate protein content in osyter mushroom?
ISOLATION OF MUSHROOM PROTEINS
AND
ESTIMATION OF TOTAL PROTEIN BY LOWRY'S METHOD
.
Reagents Required
1. BSA stock solution (1mg/ml),
2. Analytical reagents:
a)50 ml of 2% sodium carbonate (2g in 100 ml of d
)10 ml of 1.56% copper sulphate solution mixed with 10 ml of 2.37% sodium potassium tartarate solution.
Prepare analytical reagents by mixing 2 ml of (b) with 100 ml of (a)
3. Folin - Ciocalteau reagent solution (1N) Dilute commercial reagent (2N) with an equal volume of water on the day of use (2 ml of commercial reagent + 2 ml distilled water)
Procedure
A. Isolation of proteins from Mushrooms
2 grams of mushroom were weighed properly and minced by using 10 ml phosphate buffer supplemented with 2 % SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate) by using pestle and mortar. The homogenate was filtered through double layered cheese cloth. The filtrate was subjected to ammonium sulphate saltprecipitation method at 65% saturation. The proteins were pelleted by centrifugation and then dried.
C. Estimation of total proteins by Lowry method:
1. Different dilutions of BSA solutions are prepared by mixing stock BSA solution (1 mg/ ml) and water in the test tube as given in the table. The final volume in each of the test tubes is 2 ml.
2. For these protein solutions add 2 ml of alkaline copper sulphate reagent (analytical reagent). Mix the solutions well.
3. This solution is incubated at room temperature for 10 mins.
4. Then add 0.2 ml of reagent Folin Ciocalteau (FC) solution (reagent solutions) to each tube and incubate for30 min at room temperature.
5. By using blank, Zero the colorimeter and take the optical density (measure the absorbance) at 660nm.
5. Plot the absorbance against protein concentration to get a standard calibration curve.
6. Check the absorbance of unknown samples and determine the concentration of the unknown sample using the standard curve plotted above.
Calculation:
Standard calculation:
From standard solution 1mg is 1ml, it indicates 1000 µg in 1 ml of sample, hence 0.2ml contains 200 µg similarly 0.4 ml contains 400 µg of proteins and so on.
Determination of unknown concentration:
From standard graph 0.4 corresponds to X µg of proteins
That indicates 0.5 ml of sample contains X µg of proteins
Hence 100ml of unknown sample contains (X x 100) / 0.5 =----- µg of protein
RESULT:The 100ml of present in mushroom sample isolated contains----- µg or------ mg of protein
no and don't try to feed them anything else stringy; it rips up their insides & kills them. they do like apples, the stems of broccoli, pears, lettuce, carrots, and a couple of other things i cant remember.
Bigdogwoofy fixing answer... Never feed your guinea pig apples cause its a high source of sugar!
Fruit is good for a treat only, the high sugar content causes mouth sores and probably diarrhea.
Mushrooms aren't something I'd feed one of my pigs.
I usually feed them celery once in a while, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, broccoli, and grass from outside. Make sure they eat their pellets and hay too though.
Do you throw up on magic mushrooms?
It can happen... usually at higher doses, or if you have eaten something before. Magic mushrooms are also a food poisonning, so your body naturally reacts that way. If you want to feel the effects, you should try to hold them is for as long as you can. Throwing up on magic mushrooms can feel really purifying.
How are arches columns tables hoodoos and mushroom rock formed?
In deserts, arches and mushroom rocks are formed when the sand in sand storms blows it and other materials against the rock which eventually erodes the rock into interesting shapes such as arches.

Ganoderma lucidum is a type of mushroom used for what?
Ganoderma Lucidum is a type of mushroom used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 4,000 years, it is used to improve and support the immune system and is being used, increasingly, to treat cancer patients. The Ganoderma Spores is highly recommend.
Are bathroom mushrooms dangerous?
I would not eat anything that grew in my bathroom. Ickk.
Mushrooms are as safe as the spores they were grown from and the environment they were grown in.
Are wilted magic mushrooms safe to eat?
Yes, but they aren't very active.
You want once with the least oxidation. (Blue spots.)
What could happen if you get caught posessing magic mushrooms in Canada?
It depends on the local province your arrested in and how far the local law enforcement presses the issue. The qty. you are caught with and verifiability of the evidence is also an important factor.
