I'm a Bobby Martin fan myself, I have a big collection of over three hundred songs that Bobby Martin wrote, arranged and produced. I don't have all of his records and songs, but I have quite a few. I can see where Bobby Martin had often produced and arranged the same albums, or songs and CDs. I know a thing or two about the legendary grammy award winning R&B producer named Bobby Martin, and I know that he was a maestro composer, conductor, arranger and producer. He's an African American celebrity that is famous and known for his outstanding and spectacular music productions. He's a legend and icon in the music industry. This same music producer named Bobby Martin is indeed the most famous of all Bobby Martins around the world. He was well known around Hollywood California in the late 1970's. Bobby Martin was well known and well respected as being the top R&B producer in the music industry, while working out of A&M records along with producer Quincy Jones. This had all happened in the 1970s before Quincy Jones went on to become super famous, and due to his success he had with Michael Jackson as a solo artist. However, about four years before Quincy Jones recorded Michael Jackson as a solo artist, Bobby Martin had already gone platinum with Michael Jackson in the year 1976. Bobby Martin composed and arranged the music on The Jacksons hit singles Enjoy Yourself and Show You The Way To Go. Anything that Bobby Martin touched would turn to gold. Hit songs like Me And Mrs. Jones, You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine by Lou Rawls and so many More. Bobby Martin had been producing hit after hit song since the late 1950's. Today it appears that other producers have tried to steal Bobby Martins identity or take credit for his songs and arrangements. Bobby Martin is said to be the one and only founder of R&B music. Bobby Martin success in the music industry dates back to the early 1950's, he played in an famous R&B group named Lynn Hope or Lynn Hope Orchestra. Bobby Martin recorded more than a few records with the group. However, his biggest success was in the late 1950's and up until 1960 when he discovered singer Patti LaBelle. Bobby Martin had arranged and produced several hit records by the year 1960, yet Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells gave Bobby Martin one of the biggest names in the music industry. Bobby Martin aka (Robert L. Martin) produced, wrote and arranged all of Patti LaBelles songs on her first album. Bobby Martin himself had invented a new sound, which would later be named the Philadelphia sound. Long before producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff jumped on board, Bobby Martin had already produced a tun of hit records in Philadelphia. The Biggest hit song that came out of Philadelphia was a song called Kiss And Say Goodbye, Bobby Martin produced this song in 1976 for The Manhattans after he finished up his sessions with The Jacksons in the same year. Clive Davis chose Bobby Martin alone to produce the album and The song kiss And say Goodbye broke the second biggest record in music history. The song went double platinum, and Bobby Martin was well known for being the worlds top R&B producer. Producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff used Bobby Martin to produce or arrange all of their best songs. Bobby Martin then went on to sign with Capitol Records, Columbia Records, Warner Bros., and so many others. Bobby Martin had even a greater success and track record than any of the producers signed with Motown in the late 1970's. Bobby Martin had offers coming at him left and right to sign or record music with so many different record labels. After winning a grammy for the Soul Train theme song (T.S.O.P.), Bobby Martin went on to produce Philadelphia International Records hit song K-Jee. This lead him to win the top Grammy of the year, for a production he did on the group MFSB. Bobby Martin was not only the producer of MFSB, he was the bandleader, conductor and head arranger as well. Bobby Martin is a very successful, wealthy and powerful icon in the music industry today. He is indeed famous and he is known as a celebrity producer and legend in the music industry. There are other famous music producers that have invented similar sounds to the Bobby Martin sound, some have even claimed to have produced Bobby Martins music. One thing I can say about that, is that there is only one Bobby Martin and he is like no others. Bobby Martin is indeed famous, he is the one and only Granddaddy of R&B music, and his discography of songs that he produced or wrote is too long to list in one paragraph. You would need a book to list all of the songs that Bobby Martin recorded, I say this because I tried to count them myself one night, I stayed up that whole night trying to count. All I can say is that this guy needs to be crowned king or something. Bobby Martin in my opinion, is the top producer in the world, he is amazing. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise, he's worked with all kinds of famous singers and celebrities. I had the privilege of meeting him in person at an event that was held in Beverly Hills California in 2011, I took a picture with him as well. He was honored on stage that night, and it was an honor to meet him in person.
