How much does a juvenile probation officer make a month?
Most probation officers will start out making close to $14 to $15 per hour. The more experience they have, the more money they will likely make.
The pay of a probation officer will vary from State to State. The salary per year can be as high as $100,000
What percentage of the military are Navy SEALs?
It would be hard to get an exact number. But we can make a guess. According to the official US Navy web site, there are 2450 Seals on active duty plus 325 in reserve. Most US Navy Seals are enlisted personnel, so that drops the percentage. If we look at about 15% officer, which I believe is high, that would be 416 Seal Officers. NROTC commissions about 20% of the Naval Officers. OCS is probably another 20%. DCO and other programs probably make up another 10%, so it would be reasonable to guess that 50% of the Seal Officers attended the Naval Academy for about 200, a little less than 10%.
How long was SEAL Team Six in Osama's hide out?
Osama Bin Laden has been hiding for approximately ten years until he was killed.
What is United States Navy SEALs's motto?
The motto of United States Navy SEALs is 'It Pays to be a Winner'.
Are the Navy Seals or Green Berets a more elite group in your opinion?
This question calls for an opinion-based answer.
All the special operations forces of America are tough. Whether Green Beret,Pararescuemen, Combat Controller, Marine Recon, Army Ranger, or Navy SEALS. But to answer your question, the fact of the matter, is no.
Navy SEALs are indeed tough. But of the U.S. special operations forces, the toughest, or force with the hardest training is U.S. Air Force Pararescue. Pararescuemen are the guys that save the SEALs when therye in trouble.
HOPE I HELPED!
Actually, no, Navy SEALS do not use Air Force Pararescue troops to "save" them. The Navy SEALS use the SWCC teams that they work with within the Navy. Also the 90% dropout rate for PJs include, DOR's along with failures to pass the PSAT. 70% is only the DOR rate of the Navy SEALS BUD/S training.
yes he's right, pj dont help navy seals, swccs are the navy seals best friends and get them out of trouble if the run into it.
NAVY SEALS ARE THE MOST ELITE TRAINED FORCES IN THE U.S MILITARY, more elite than U.S. Air Force Pararescue
Navy Seals do not use Force Pararescue troops to save them them lol
Navy seals work along side The British S.B.S and British S.A.S. Like in recent news where S.A.S took out 50 top Taliban commanders, the attacks, tactics, training was all done and prepared by the S.A.S. Navy seals work under and along side the S.A.S and S.B.S. Navy seals cross train with the S.B.S as there the same thing just diffrent names, except S.B.S was around almost 30yrs before seals were even born. hence why S.B.S e.t.c lead the way as ther have alot more experience.
Navy Seals get some tough training but for the most part they don't have a lot of time in the military or actual experience. Most Navy Seal teams sit around on deployments and don't get used much. The navy is too afraid of losing a sailor they put alot of money into. The attrition rate for a navy seal is around 70 percent. The attrition rate for pararescue is close to 90 percent and that doesn't include the PAST. The PAST is like the test you take to become a seal before BUDS. Special forces attrition is around 80 to 85 percent. Marine force recon attrition is about 60 percent. But, Navy seals and pararescue are typically younger and don't have alot of military experience. Special forces students are typically seasoned soldiers. They are typically in their 30's and more mature. The average time in service for a special forces soldier in the army is around 10 years. Also, in actual conflicts the army and marines are the ones that get hands on experience. Army special forces soldiers are gone all the time, sometimes 10 months out of the year. A navy seal would be lucky to be deployed longer than several months out of a year. I also know most pararescueman will lap a seal in a pool or a track.
Pararescuemen do save SEALs, you don't have a clue. In March of 2002, a team of SEALs were inserted into Shahi-Kot Valley (Afghanistan) to provide observation on the peak of Takur Ghar. An MH-47 Chinook called Razor 03 landed in the SEALs LZ in order to pick up the SEALs, but it was hit by an RPG. As it took off, Petty Officer First Class Neil C. Roberts fell out the back of the open ramp. Razor 03 couldn't help him because the chopper was damaged. It crash-landed 4 miles away. Razor 04, another Chinook, attempted to help Roberts, but the team came under fire. Two SEALs, and an Air Force CCT (named John A. Chapman) were killed. The team requested a Quick Reaction Force, which consisted of 19 Rangers, an Air Force TACP, and a three man Special Tactics Unit. They deployed in Razor 01 and Razor 02. As they exited the aircraft, several men were killed. After a fierce firefight, in short, a PJ named SrA Jason Cunningham was killed PERFORMING MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR RANGERS AND NAVY SEALS. He was former Navy and passed the SEAL physical test, but didn't want that job and crossed into the Air Force to go the PJ route. You talk like your SEALS are so elite (which they are to some extent), you say that they don't need any PJ's saving their necks, but they had to call in a Ranger force, and PJ's to help their SEAL friend... Hmmm, if I was a "high and mighty" SEAL why would I need the Army Rangers to help me (besides the need for firepower, even then, there were only 19 of them)? I'd at least want somebody CSAR oriented to have my back! Also, I know two men who were former SEALs that cross trained to become PJ's. One said the Pararescue route is MUCH TOUGHER but he passed, and the other guy washed out, his biggest problem being the water confidence... As a former SEAL!
Children children please... calm down. You can not really argue whether the Navy SEALs are better and the Airforce Pararescue (Pjs) because their respective purposes and objectives are completely different.
Navy SEALs are traded in direct combat, they go out and fight some serious enemies who standard forces could not take on
Airforce PJs are essentially the paramedics of the special forces (Kinda like your 911 EMS but on steroids). They don't go out on missions specifically to go fight bad guys, they go out to save injured American or Allied forces. This includes anything from a simple medivac (A unit goes to the location of the injured, extracts him/her, treats them and transports them to a hospital) to holding the grounds of an American (or allied) unit until that unit can get to safety.
SEALs are the best fighters
PJs are the best rescuers
Understand the difference now?
AS TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTION: Because all the special forces have different duties that all vary slightly or greatly from each other, you can not really say that one is superior to the other. It is only ones upmost personal opinion as to whether the training of a particular special forces is harder/more dangerous than another, as that is really the only grounds you can really compare different special forces.
Do the navy SEALS have swords?
All Navy and Marine Corps Commissioned Officers are allowed to wear swords with a ceremonial uniform. It makes no difference of whether or not they're a Navy SEAL or not.
If you're talking about combat swords, SEAL personal weapons are the individual operator's choice, though swords are a bit clumsy for today's combat techniques. A small knife can do the job a lot better and with less noise.
Can you have a GED to join the navy seals?
You can but you must also have 15 college credits, level 100 or higher. They will not accept just a GED.
Has a Navy Seal ever died in battle?
If your talking about SEAL team 6, no. Not any of them died, yet. Normal Navy SEALs got ambushed once with a helicopter, and two of them died. As far as I know, I bet that not even 60 Navy SEALs died.
What is the maximum age limit on a navy SEAL?
No offence or anything but that was a completely stupid question its not that hard to find out anyway ask someone around you your mum or dad should know or someone else I mean you wouldn't join it if you were 2 now would you a reasonable age would be about 18
It depends on what you are talking about. If your talking about preparing for the SEALs then you can train anywhere. Just do Basic Physical workouts. For more info go to www.navyseals.com and click on workout of the day. But if you are talking about where they train and do BUD/S then that is in Coronado California. But remember SEAL training is the most intense training program in the world mentally and physically!
Where did the navy seals originate?
The US Navy SEALs were commissioned by directive of President John F Kennedy. He felt that each branch of the US Armed Forces should have Special Forces type of unit. The Army had the Special Forces (Green Berets). The Air Force had PJs and Air Commandos. The Marines had Force Recon. The Navy had Underwater Demolition Teams but their expertise in land warfare was limited. The Navy decided to form an elite unit capable of land warfare and drew from the UDTs. They were all Airborne qualified and Combat Swimmer qualified. The Navy sent the newly formed SEALs to various Army and Marine training schools. On January 1, 1962 SEAL TEAM ONE and SEAL TEAM TWO were commissioned.
How much does it cost to train a green beret?
The pay scale is the same no matter what MOS (military occupational skill) you have. so if you are a ssgt or E-6 you will get paid the same as every other E-6 in the army. But, you may get more money in a rank if you are in a rank longer, example an E-6 with 3 years in the army wont get paid as much as an E-6 with 15 years in the army. ( it usually takes longer to get rank that fast and reach ssgt in 3 years but, not impossible). And you get additional pay for every skill identifier you have example airborne, Halo, air assault, Pathfinder, scuba, ranger ect, ect, you will get more pay for more things you can do, then if you get hazardous duty pay, cola, BAH, ect, ect. and the army pays you more monthly for every language you speak, so green berets learn a additional language so if you are talented and can speak 3 languages fluently then three more things to get paid for(Spanish doesn't apply). So yes they can make a little more than the average soldier it can also work for a regular soldier it all depends on the individual and his capabilities.
How many people try out for the navy seals?
Probably hundreds a year but few make it out and half of them either want to be a Warrior or challenge themselves through something more difficult then the ordinary stuff and buy the way its Pronounced SEAL SEa Air Land also read the capital letters and HOOYAH
First off there needs to be some serious clarification here, CIA Officers are Americans who work out of U.S. Embassies overseas, and their job is to recruit foreign assets who give our country secret information. When we think of 'spies' we are thinking of CIA Officers, aka Intelligence Officers, Case Officers or Operations Officers. CIA 'agents' on the other hand are usually foreigners who are betraying their own country to pass on this information to the U.S. govt. thru the American CIA Officer (Hollywood and the media screws up this distinction all the time, Jason Bourne would actually be a Paramilitary Operations Officer, not an agent; James Bond would actually be an MI6 Officer not an agent). In the Showtime series Homeland Clair Danes and Mandy Patinkin are Officers, while Brody would be considered an 'agent' when he agreed to go to Iran on behalf of the CIA for a mission. Another term for a CIA 'agent' is a confidential informant or asset. Now to the question of 'Do CIA officers carry badges or guns?' the answer is No. CIA Officers are not cops, they are not Federal law enforcement agents or police, they do not have any law enforcement powers like arrest, search & seizure. Only overseas in certain dangerous, high-threat environments do CIA officers carry weapons, like in Afghanistan. The only CIA employees who carry badges and guns are the Federal Security/Police officers who patrol and protect CIA headquarters in Virginia, and also within the Office of Inspector General (all federal agencies have an OIG), within that office there are criminal investigators who investigate waste, fraud, illegalities and other abuses within the agency, these OIG investigators do have limited law enforcement powers and do carry a badge, but these investigators are not spies and are no different from the OIGs in other govt. agencies like the Postal Service, the Forest Service or State Dept. Those last two examples are the only exceptions to the general rule that the 'CIA does not carry badges and/or guns.'
What training is harder Army Green Beret or Navy SEALs?
There both very difficult training programs but you really cant compare their training because there two totally different units
--------------------------
Navy SEALs have the highest percentage of dropouts during training of any elite units in the US military. There is also a much higher level of cross-training than Rangers. The Navys unofficial attitude toward SEAL training is to push the candidates to a level where mental breakdowns would occur before physical ones. The mind is easier to condition than what SEAL and BUDS schools will do to a trainees bodies. Only 'unique' individuals will have the physical blessings to endure training on this scale without their body breaking down. Romantic notions enforced by Hollywood movies aside, Navy SEALS have a reputation as one of the very hardest special operations forces in history.
What is the school for the navy?
"A" schools are a sailor's basic technical training schools, which most sailors attend just after completing Basic Training (boot camp). Sailors who are designated for specific ratings will attend these schools prior to learn the basics of their particular job rating.
What are the physical requirements for the navy?
meet the height and weight standards or get taped out with less than 18% body fat. run 3 miles in less than 27:59 do 44 crunches and 3 pullups. but you cant just do the minimum in the marine corps. they'll put you on a special program for fatties if indeed you are a fatty

What are the navy seals ranks?
The SEALs are a part of the US Navy. They use the same ranks as the Navy, enlisted personnel would be petty officers and chief petty officers. The Officer ranks would go from Ensign to Captain.
Where are the Marine Corps training center in South Carolina?
Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.
How many Mormon navy seals are there?
Navy seals are not identified by ethnicity but since you brought it up, there are no Mexican navy seals. if you mean how many navy seals are there of Mexican or Hispanic origin, there are probably few to none.
Can you join another military branch if you get kicked out the Navy?
For accurate information ask a recruiter after reading this:
Look at your DD214. Near the bottom right corner, you will find the characterization. If it is Honorable or Uncharacterized you still have a chance. Next look at your Re-entry code (RE code) and Paragraph number. Each Branch will interpret these differently.
Characterization of Discharge
RE Code: Determines Eligibility
Separation Code: Why you got discharged.
Paragraph Number: Supports more details by providing the code that defines your Separation.
Provide this information to a recruiter as well as your separation date. Some Waivers can be made.
How many hispanic navy seals have there been?
As of 2009, since the conception of the UDTs and the SEAL teams, there have been less than 11,000 sailors who have served with the teams. Approximately 2,400 of these SEALs are still on active duty today. The exact number is classified for security reasons, but it usually fluctuates around this number as experienced SEALs retire or are promoted to non-operational positions and new SEALs from BUD/S come in to fill their places.
Are the US Marines part of the US Navy?
They have been brushed by the Tar and served before the mast since their creation, but today the U.S. Marine Corps is not a branch of the U.S. Navy - it is a separate service branch within the Department of the Navy, the civilian branch of the Department of Defense tasked with overseeing the Navy and Marine Corps.
Since the Navy and Marines have historically been so closely associated (Marines are embarked on Naval vessels, and the two have always participated closely in joint operations for many years) the decision was made to bring the two under one authority.
Even so, the two branches have their own separate and distinct Chain of Command - the Secretary of the Navy oversees the two, but the Navy is headed by the Chief of Naval Operations, while the Marines are commanded by the Commandant of the Marine Corps. Both officers are normally 4-star ranks.
