I have even caught a rainbow trout here and there. But this is just the large game, don't forget the smelt, minnows, sunfish, blue gills, catfish, and pike!

Niagara Falls is actually on the Niagara River. The water leaves Lake Erie at the the city of Buffalo, New York and approximately 30 miles downstream falls over Niagara Falls. The Niagara River empties into Lake Ontario, eventually into the St. Lawrence River and finally into the Atlantic Ocean.

Easily by headng toward Toronto the distance is reduced to about 250 miles and the estimated driving time is only 5.5 hours. Customs and Immigrations are zero delays if your party has all of the correct documentation and your vehicle has proper documentation and insurance coverage.

Niagara Falls has earned a grisly reputation as the suicide capital of the U.S., second only to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.

Experts estimate there are between 20 to 25 suicides at the Falls each year.

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, but here's the answer to the question I think you are asking: Urban (from the latin urbs, urbis) means having to do with a city Rural has to do with the suburbs (sub is latin for under, urbs being city - literally under the city), which is the area in the countryside, outside the city. NYC being the bustling hub of activity it is, NYC is urban.

Personally, I would have to say Welland, Ontario.......if you're talking about the Canadian Niagara Falls. If you're talking about the American Niagara Falls, then I would have to say Buffalo, New York

On the Canadian side you can walk along the river and view both the Horseshoe Falls and the American falls for free. The cost is in getting there, and that depends on where you are traveling from.

The Niagara Falls were created at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation about 10,000 years ago. When the ice melted, the Great Lakes drained over the Niagara Escarpment by way of the Niagara River. The River initially cut a gorge through the escarpment. The layers of rock in the escarpment have a top rock formation that is composed of harder stone that eroded more slowly than the underlying materials. The softer rock preferentially eroded away, undercutting the harder rock. The unsupported top rocks gave way from time to time creating a sharp edge for the falls.

If the entire formation had been softer rock the present Falls would have been reduced to a series of rapids.
