What breed of dog did Noah have on the ark?
It is unknown what breed of dog was on the ark. God said that one of every KIND of animal was on the ark... not every species. So there probably were only 2 dogs that went through genetic mutations (micro evolution) in order to create other species of dog.
Why did God choose to save Noah from the flood?
In Noah's day, violence had filled the earth because of the angels that had left their position in the heavens, and married women, producing offspring. (Genesis 6:1-4; Jude 6) These filled the earth, until "every inclination of the thoughts of [man's heart was only bad all the time," which resulted in the being ruined (Genesis 6:5, 11, 12) However, Noah was able to avoid all of the corrupt influence of his time, being described as "a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God." (Genesis 6:8, 9) Unlike the ungodly world he lived in, he was still able to accomplish what God required of him. He then entered into a covenant with Jehovah God, as noted in Genesis 6:18. He became "a preacher of righteousness" as well as a builder, as a he warned the wicked generation around him of the impending destruction the flood would cause. (2 Peter 2:5) Noah, out of implicit faith did everything God comanded of him, although those around him didn't believe. This is noted in Genesis 6:22, "according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so." This devout faith was later noted in the Bible book of Hebrews 11:7, 12:1. After completion of the Ark, Jehovah gave Noah instructions to gather the animals into the ark. Shortly after, "Noah went in, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him, into the ark ahead of the waters of the deluge. . . . After that Jehovah shut the door behind him." On that very day "the flood arrived and destroyed them all." (Ge 7:1-16; Lu 17:27) Ultimately, Noah's faithfulness to Jehovah God protected both him and his family, and they received many blessings.

What are facts about prophet Nuh?
Prophet Nuh was the son of Lamak and was born into the tenth generation after Adam (pbuh). It was said that this flood had lasted 150 years.
Where in the bible does it say Noah was ridiculed while building the ark?
That ancient heavens and earth were wicked. God determined that they had to go: "I am going to wipe men whom I have created off the surface of the ground." (Gen. 6:7, NW) God disclosed this fact to Noah, a man who detested the wicked conditions of that world and who loved righteousness. God instructed Noah to build a big three-story ark. Noah did as God commanded. Noah also was active as a preacher of righteousness. But the people of that time, except for Noah's wife, three sons and their wives, were not interested in righteous conditions. As to God's purpose to wipe out men by a flood, the wicked world did not believe it would happen. The world scoffed at Noah and ridiculed him for his ark-building.
But one day in November, 2370 B.C., the time came for the end of the "ancient world." Says the Bible: "The floodgates of the heavens were opened. And the downpour upon the earth went on for forty days and forty nights. And the waters became overwhelming and kept increasing greatly upon the earth, but the ark kept going on the surface of the waters. And the waters overwhelmed the earth so greatly that all the tall mountains that were under the whole heavens came to be covered. Thus he wiped out every existing thing that was on the surface of the ground, from man to beast." The scoffers, who scoffed at the idea that God would destroy a wicked world, scoffed no more.-Gen. 7:11, 12, 18, 19, 23, NW.
Peter referenced Noah's day with the "Last Days" using the expression ridiculers that will present themselves in the Last Days that are to come with Noah's experience.
(2 Peter 3:2-7) . . .. 3 For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: "Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation's beginning." 5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.
How many children did Noah have when he built the ark?
The book of Genesis didn't say that Noah had any daughters. It only mentioned Noah as the father of three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. It also mentioned that Noah had daughters-in-law, who were left as nameless as his wife [6:18, 7:13]. ----
That's not to say that he NEVER had daughters. He may have during the 350 years he lived after the flood, because we read at Genesis 9:1 that God blessed Noah and his sons and instructed them all to 'be fruitful and become many and fill the earth'.(Genesis 9:28)

Why is Noah's ark a great Bible story?
From a research perspective, I like the story because it has led Ian Wilson to investigate the origins of this story and similar accounts in the Epic of Gilgamesh and elsewhere, and make a persuasive case in Before the Flood that they were based on folk memories of the inundation of the Black Sea around 5400 BCE.
Another Answer:
Because, when read properly and not overlooking key points, it proves God as our Creator is in charge of everything and not man. He controls all the elements and the weather and only He is the judge of all that is seen and unseen. It show the reader that there is a way that seem right to man but in the end only leads to his demise - hence, there must be a better/right way.
Case in point, many people discount Noah being able to take all the animals of the world into this Ark - the size of a WWII Aircraft Carrier. But is this what Scripture says in Genesis 6:17-20? Consider just this for now:
Nowhere in the Bible does it state that Noah had to take on board the Ark representatives of each and every living creature. There were only three basic requirements for the animals to be loaded onto the Ark. They had to be:
Were Noah's 3 sons triplets because the bible said Noah had all 3 sons at the same age?
No. The Bible only mentions the three sons in one sentence. It does not say that they were born as twins or triplets and the Bible is explicit when twins or triplets exist (see Jacob and Esau).

How is Noah story viewed in the Bible compared to Quran?
The Chaldean Flood Tablets from the city of Ur in what is now Southern Iraq, describe how the Bablylonian God Ea had decided to eliminate humans and other land animals with a great flood which was to become "the end of all flesh". He selected Ut-Napishtim, to build an ark to save a few humans, and samples of other animals. Ut-Napishtim is turned into NOAH in the Bible.
The Babylonian text "The Epic of Galgamesh" and the Hebrew story are essentially identical with about 20 major points in common. The Bible has actually two versions of the Noah story in the E and J documents that are interleaved.
The Koran's version is an obvious bad copy of the Bible/s
The Koran calls him Nuh. The Bible says Noah's three sons escaped with him; the Koran tells of a son who sought refuge on a mountaintop and died. The Bible says the Ark landed on Mt. Ararat; the Koran says it landed on a different mountain of the same mountain range.
Answer B (Comment on the Answer A above) I wonder that some consider the Quran a copy of the Bible but when the Bible differs from the Quran they consider that the Quran is bad copy from the Bible. For the answer above, if there is difference between the Bible and Quran, how could you claim that the Bible story if the correct one and that of Quran is not. How do you say that Quran is a copy of the Bible while there are lot of differences? Could you deny that the Quran included many faith and historical issues that not touched in the Bible? refer to the question below for more information. Answer C (Comment on Answer B above)If the Koran was authoritative as you claim, please try to recreate the chronology of the bible using the Koran alone. What we do find are obvious anachronisms and mis understandings like having Haman be a minister of "Pharaoh" who builds a tower to "look down on Moses' God". Answer D (Hint on Answer C above):Where in the bible is Noah's ark rested?
"The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down, and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat." (Genesis 8:3-4)
What happened when the ark landed?
As recorded in the Bible (Gen 8:4), the ark landed on Mount Ararat.
Mount Ararat is in the eastern Turkey, adjacent to the Armenian border.
Mount Ararat is the highest mountain in the area 5,156 m above sea level, and about 4,000 m higher than neighboring peaks.
According to Genesis 8:4 the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat on the 17th day of the 7th month. Rather confusingly, in Genesis 8:5 it says the tops of the mountains only started to appear after 10 months. Ignoring that, the question becomes where are the "mountains of Ararat"? Abrahamic tradition says this is Mount Ararat in Turkey. Josephus, the Jewish historian, places the Ark on an Armenian mountain - which doesn't exclude Mount Ararat. The ancient Jewish Book of Jubilees specifies mount Lubar in the mountains of Ararat.
Ararat may actually mean Urartu or Aratta - both ancient states Armenia.
Mount Ararat is the "traditional" place, but the reference in Genesis could be interpreted to be any of a number of mountain ranges in Urartu.
The Qur'an also has the Noah's Ark story, but places the Ark on Al-Judi.
There have been numerous expeditions to try and find remains of the Ark over the years; these have mainly been to Mount Ararat, but nearby Mount Judi and a site in Iran has also been visited. What's notable about these expeditions is that they all claim to have found the Ark.

Species which survive in water were not taken on the ark.

Is Noah's Ark and the Flood an example of a myth?
The dictionary describes a parable as a narrative of imagined events used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. However, it is also generally assumed to be actually identified as imaginary, as when Jesus told parables. A myth is a legend or imaginary tradition that contains references to a deity or the supernatural.
The story of Noah's Ark is not actually identified in the text as imaginary, so is not a parable. It is a myth.
If you take the term literally,it refers to Christians who take the Bible for what it says without any fancy theories or' higher criticism' changing the original and most obvious meaning. There is no one religion that receives the tag ( although very often Baptists do ).Often, groups within a denomination can be termed 'fundamental' whereas others in the same one will not.
In most cases where the term 'fundamental' is used now,it has negative connotations attached to it.In other words,it's usually an insult.
