How do you fix the glitch in dark void when you load defending the ark mission?
To fix the glitch in "Dark Void" when loading the "Defending the Ark" mission, you can try restarting the game or reloading an earlier save before the mission. If that doesn't work, verify the game files if you're on PC, or uninstall and reinstall the game to ensure all files are intact. Additionally, checking for any game patches or updates that might address the issue can also help.
Why did the raven not return to the ark?
The raven was a strong flyer. And, with all the dead carcasses left from the deluge, he would have had a food source. And, the Bible does say that the raven returned---it just didn't return to Noah. Perhaps he rested on the Ark until the waters went down.
Bottom line?
The Bible didn't give a terribly detailed description why.
What country did Noah send the birds to see if it was dry land?
Since Noah emerged from the ark in Ararat, we may surmise that the ark was not very far from there when he sent the raven and the dove. Today, Mount Ararat is near the intersection of the borders of Turkey, Armenia and Iran. Georgia and Azerbaijan are not very far away.
Though many believe the Bible is allegorical, others believe it is literal truth. I will answer it from that standpoint of those who accept it as literal truth. "True believers" are not all offended at this kind of question. They recognize that belief in a literally true Genesis does take faith. The Bible's answer does not give a lot of details. It simply says, "Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures...came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah." (NIV) According to this, Noah did not have to go get them; they simply came. How God effected that the Bible does not say. While the question is not to be skoffed at, it does have a couple of flaws. It begs the question on two points. While it is possible that Noah did not know of polar bears, penguines, and their home climates, there is nothing in the Bible that proves he was unaware of a multitude of species and climates. Secondly, it assumes that the different climate zones that exist today also existed before the Flood. In our experience and observation, polar bears and penguines do not live in tropical climates alongside toucans and monkeys. Just because we have not seen something does not mean it is impossible, just that it does not fit with what we can currently verify by direct observation. The Bible does not say what the climate was where the ark was built. Earth climates might have been arranged much as they are today, but they also may have been quite different. Noah might not have known about polar bears and penguines, but then again they might have been local species. All the Bible says is that they all came and Noah put them on the ark as he was commanded. How they came, how far they travelled, how long it took, and similar questions are not answered. Belief in a literally true Genesis does take faith in a very powerful God. To reject Genesis because of arguments like "God can't" or "God wouldn't" is to do so on the basis of a "God" confined to a straw box. Such a "straw God" has no real relation to what God really is. Here are answers from similar and opposing viewpoints: * Some believe the Noah's Ark story is only believed by those whose religion stipulates that you aren't allowed to ask such questions. == == * One of the problems with taking the Bible in its most literal sense is that problems arise such as the one the question points out. When read as a history of man and men's beliefs, it might be easier to accept the story of Noah as a loose retelling of what might have been an actual event. There are indications in the fossil records of many large floods in the past. A witness or decendant of a witness might have used one of those flood stories as a backdrop for a cautionary tale of God's wrath at man's disobedience. == == * The bible never says that Noah actually performed the act of gathering. In fact, it implies that the animals gathered themselves. It is quite possible that two of each of the animals actually walked, in a zombie-like trance, from whatever region of the world that they lived in, and filed themselves into the ark, and all Noah really did was peform the act of building. Noah may have made different climate zones within the ark for the animals to live. See the Related Links for "How Did All the Animals Fit on Noah's Ark?" to the left for an answer. This link discusses many of the common objections relating to the ark.
One assumption which perhaps needs to be questioned is that of climate. We do know that it probably was quite different prior to the flood, as exampled by the finding of plant species from more temperate regions buried in Antarctic ice. The climate may have been more uniform throughout the planet and it has also been suggested that the atmospheric pressure was higher as well. Thus, these species may not have had to travel quite so far.
How do you turn cubits into feet?
Generally speaking, VERY generally speaking that is, a cubit is 18 inches. Just to confuse things, some "experts" believe there were all sorts of cubits depending on the location and time period, ranging anywhere from 15 or even less to 21 inches. But generally speaking you can say 18 inches. That will give you an approximate idea of the size of pretty much anything whose dimensions are given in cubits. P.S. - I've found that a "me cubit" (from my elbow to the tip of my middle finger) is an extremely useful unit of measure when a) there is no more reliable measuring instrument handy, or I'm too lazy to dig one up, and b) when nobody but me ever has to know the exact measurements of a project, and c) when pinpoint accuracy is not of life-and-death importance. I wouldn't use it for construction, but it's great for landscaping.
Is Noah's ark a religious experience?
The flood is a historical fact. Christianity is a religion based on history. If we didn't have the creation, the flood, Samson, David and the cross, there would not be the religion. All others are based on philosophies.
Was the serpent trusted on Noah's Ark?
Yes. It was an animal and part of Gods creation, like any other, and thus was taken onto the ark by Noah as instructed. Noah and his family trusted God, and thus had no reason to distrust snakes or any other animal ....
If you are thinking of the Garden of Eden when the devil spoke through the serpent... serpents did not retain a voice after this incident! God cursed them to remain on their bellies, but the whole world was cursed - the curse of sin, meant that death and pain and misery came upon all creation.
If you are thinking that some snakes are poisonous and thus may have posed a danger - there were a number of dangerous animals on board the Ark. The miracle was that God kept peace and harmony between them (wolves didn't eat the sheep, etc!).
Who saw the first rainbow after God created it?
The belief that no one saw a rainbow before Noah is speculation, not a definite Biblical teaching. It may be that rainbows were seen since Adam's time, but their deeper meaning was revealed only in Noah's time. The same goes for the "appointed times" in Genesis chapter 1, whose definition was not revealed until the time of Moses (Leviticus ch.23).
Did Baghdad exist when Noah built the Ark?
This is a question that confuses myth and history. Noah is supposed to have lived more than four thousand years ago, while the city of Baghdad was founded in 762 CE. Clearly, the legendary date of the biblical Flood is long before the time of Baghdad's founding.
No, there were no Jews or Gentiles at that time. He was an ancestor of Abraham. Jews are the descendants of Abraham and his son Isaac.
They have a stubby little tail.
How did God renew his covenant with the people?
They placed twelve stones from the Jordan at their encampment in Gilgal, as a reminder of the miracle that God had done for them in splitting the Jordan river (Joshua ch.3-4). See also:
What was the ancestry of Noah's daughters in law?
Noah's daughters-in-law are not named in the bible; they seem to come from distant areas because of their odd behavior (at Genesis ch.9 ff). Their ancestry is unknown because everyone's ancestry is unknown-- except Noah, who is the Tenth Patriarch in the direct male line (spear side) stretching back to Adam.
Mt Ararat long thought to be the traditional resting place or Noahs ark where is it located?
It is located in Turkey.
There seem to have been several, even more ancient flood stories in the ancient Near East, that were quite similar to the story of Noah's Ark. Apart from claiming that the gods wanted to destroy mankind for various reasons, they often include many of the same details, such as the raven and the hero of the story inventing wine (Genesis 9:20-21), thus proving a common legendary origin.
Apart from the biblical tradition, the most famous flood story is no doubt in the Epic of Gilgamesh, wherein the hero of the flood story is Utanapishti. In the Old, Middle and Neo-Babylonian periods, the Babylonians had a version independent of the Gilgamesh epic, but telling much the same story, in the Atrahasis epic. In this, the gods were again named Enlil and Enki, but the Noah/Utanapishti equivalent was now named Atrahasis.
Amongst the Sumerians, the equivalent of Noah, Utanapishti and Atrahasis was a pious king called Ziusudra, whose name meant "he saw life".
The early Hurrian inhabitants of what is now the Kurdish region of Turkey, an area repeatedly associated with where the ark came to rest, are now thought to have moved into the area no later than the early third millennium BCE. Their 'Noah' was called Nahmizuli. As has been pointed out by the Egyptologist John Romer, this particular name very notably bears the Hebrew word for Noah, Nhm in its first three consonants. Furthermore the Hurrians particularly venerated Mount Ararat as the sacred centre of their kingdom.
Ian Wilson (Before the Flood) believes that all these stories and many other legends point to the origin of the great Flood stories. He says that the Black Sea had formerly been a low-lying fresh-water lake, entirely cut off from the Mediterranean Sea. Recent archaeological research shows that the rising sea levels that carved out the British Isles and created the Bering Strait, also in 5600 BCE (approximately) breached the land bridge that stood between the Bosporus and the Black Sea region. This fertile, well-populated region flooded rapidly, no doubt causing survivors to think that the whole world had been flooded and to believe that only the gods could have wrought this event.
Where is Noah's Ark and where is the Garden of Eden?
The Bible tells us that four rivers flowed from the Garden of Eden, which should readily enable us to identify its location: Pishon, Gihon, Tigris, and Euphrates. The identification of the Tigris, and Euphrates would seem to place the Garden of Eden in the Middle East, near present-day Iraq. However, Genesis 2:13 says that a river flowed out of the garden to water the land of Ethiopia, which means that the garden was in the horn of Africa, while verse 14 says that the fourth river watered Assyria. Leon R. Kass (The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis) says there can be no single terrestrial place that would serve as the common source of these four widely separated rivers, and that the Garden of Eden is a purely mythic place.
What is the literary context of Genesis?
Scholars say that Genesis was witten by three authors and probably had at least two redactors who completed the work at different stages, finally producing the book much as we know it today.
The earliest source is believed to have been the anonymous author now known as the Yahwist, or 'J Source', who used an early form of the Hebrew language and is believed to have lived around 950 BCE. The source's main interests were the southern kingdom, Judah, and the Aaronid priesthood. The Yahwist always used 'YHWH' as the name for an anthropomorphic God with human characteristics. His God made promises and covenants with his chosen people.
The Elohist ('E Source') must have written sometime before 722 BCE, when Israel was destroyed by the Assyrians. This source came from the northern kingdom of Israel, and was generally more concerned with general stories than individuals. He had a moderately eloquent style and also used an early form of the Hebrew language. The Elohist always used 'Elohim' as the name for a more transcendent God who required obedience and was feared by his people. People could never look at the Elohist's God, so he typically came in dreams or visions, but sometimes in the form of a cloud or a flame.
The Priestly source ('P Source'), writing in the fifth or fourth century BCE, drew on the earlier works of J and E, changing details to suit the priestly point of view. This source had a low level of literary style and focussed on the formal relations between God and society. He used the names Elohim and El Shaddai (God Almighty) to describe a remote and unmerciful God.
In Genesis chapters 1 and 2, we can see the distinction quite clearly between the Priestly Source's view of God and creation, compared with the Yahwist's view. In chapter 1 (up to the first sentence of verse 2:4), The Priestly Source's God is almost all-powerful, simply speaking things into existence and placing the sun, moon and stars in the firmament. He does not interact with the humans he created, other than blessing them and commanding them to be fruitful and multiply. In the Yahwist's account (Genesis from 2:4b, through chapter 3), there are limits to God's powers. God must make Adam and the animals from clay, and Eve from a rib taken from Adam's side. In this account, God places Adam and Eve in a garden and he himself walks around the garden, talking to the humans. Unlike the Priestly Source's God, that of the Yahwist is capable of showing human emotion.

Who was the woman who turned into a pillar of salt in the Bible?
This was Lot's wife. This is recorded in Genesis 19:26.
Her name is never given, however, Jewish tradition states that her name was Idis. She is known only as Lot's wife. Lot was a man faithful to God, and as such he, his wife, and his daughters were spared perishing with the rest of Sodom and Gomorrah. However, they were given instructions not to look back upon the cities' destruction; Lot's wife disobeyed, and was turned to salt because of it.

Did Noah curse his son Ham or grandson Canaan in Genesis 9 verses 21 thru 25?
In Genesis, Noah cursed Canaan only, and did not curse Ham nor any others of Ham's children. The story of Noah and his Ark is now recognised by scholars as unhistorical. Since the Canaanites were the traditional enemy of the Hebrew people, the legend developed around a curse on their putative ancestor.
