How do you replace the battery on a 1992 Olds Cutlass Ciera?

To replace the battery the first thing you want to do is disconnect the negative battery cable and then the positive cable. The next thing you want to do remove the 2 bolts from the support bar that crosses over the battery. This will allow you to move it out of the way. The last thing to take off is the bracket that holds the battery down and keeps it from moving. This is located at the bottom of the battery and kind of looks like a tab. Remove the 1 bolt and then take out the battery. To put the new battery in just do it all the steps backwards.

How do you reset the computer on an Oldsmobile cutlass supreme after changing battery?

You don't really need to reset the computer. It does have base programming. However, it is recommended to take the car out and drive it about 10 miles. Some of this needs to be at highway speed. This will help it to "learn" the exact settings it needs. That should do it.

Can't promise this will help you. I had the same problem with 1989 Custom Cruiser. Radio and antenna were dead but fuse was Ok.

Took screwdriver and started shoving fuse about, top and bottom. It finally made contact and everything came on. Had to do it more than once before fuse settled in. Works fine now.

It is on the engine block held by two nuts. There are studs that thread into the block. Look under the A/C compressor, and you should see it. It has two hoses on top, and is on the passenger side of the car.

Your Oldsmobile 89 cutlass ciera has two missing fuses which are marked bat I assume is battery and one that is marked IGN which i assume is ignition both are missing should i check into this.?

Is something not working? BATT can just mean that it's a fuse that's connected directly to the battery and provides power all of the time. It might be there for accessories that need power all of the time. The fuse marked IGN might be just a spare fuse that is connected to the ignition switch that gives you power to accessories only when the ignition switch is on. If everything is working, I wouldn't worry about it. They might just be spare fuse locations. If you look at the fuse socket, you may notice that there is no metal contacts. This indicates they're not used for your particular model.
