You can siphon out old gas from a 1996 Oldsmobile, but it may be challenging due to the tank's design and the fuel lines. If siphoning is not effective or safe, dropping the tank is a more thorough option, allowing you to fully access and remove the old fuel. Make sure to follow safety precautions, such as working in a well-ventilated area and using appropriate tools. Additionally, consider replacing the fuel filter and cleaning the fuel lines to ensure proper function after removing the old gas.
If you're sure the battery is ok (sometimes they can short out and draw down the charge) you might want to test the alternator to see if it has bad diodes.
i doubt it but any auto store should have karropak paper to make your own gasket. i just bought some to replace the gasket on my iac valve, just not sure how to do it yet.
