How do I Replace a engine control module on a 1991 olds 98?
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Label all spark plug wires so that they can be reattached in the exact positions on the Coil packs.
3. Unhook the spark plug wires from the coil packs.
4. There are usually 2 bolts holding each coil pack to the Ignition Control Module. undo all bolts and the coil packs should come off.
5. The wafer the coil packs are attached to is the Ignition Control Module. Where the wiring harness attaches to the ICM, there is 1 or 2 screws too detach the wires. Undo these screws.
6. On the new ICM place the new gasket onto the ICM, inside the area where the wires attach, be careful not too bend any of the wire prongs inside. I find a small flathead screwdriver and minimal pressure works well.
7. Place the gaskets onto the prongs where the coil packs attach. Again do not bend the prongs.
8. Attach new ICM back to the wiring harness.
9. Seat the CoilPacks onto the ICM and seat the coil packs onto the ICM using the bolts to hold them on. Align the bolts with the holes to mount entire assembly back to the motor. You can attach ICM first to motor then attach the coil packs. The bolts that hold the coil packs to the ICM also hold the ICM to the motor. Tighten all bolts.
10. Reattach the spark plug wires to the coil packs IN THE EXACT SPOT they were before removal. Getting the order wrong can really kill your engine.
11. Reconnect your negative battery cable and everything should be okay.

Where do you add transmission fluid to a 1998 Oldsmobile regency?
I've always filled em through the dipstick tube. You'll definitely need a funnel to do so. After you add the required amount of fluid, start the vehicle. There's a little bit you need to do before it's finished. With your foot on the brake pedal, cycle the car through it's gears. R N D 1 2 3, then backwards 3 2 1 D N R. Do this a couple times. It will push the fluid into empty the pockets preventing transmission damage. Now that you've filled it, started it, and ran it through it's gears without driving it... Check the fluid level at the dipstick with the engine running still (engine MUST BE RUNNING in order to get a proper fluid level on the dipstick). You can leave the car running at this point. Add more fluid if needed.
If you dropped the transmission pan, and changed out the filter, you'll need around 8-9 quarts to refill it. If you drained the transmission bell housing, you'll need nearly double that (check manufacturers specs to be safe, I'm running off memory here).

How do you remove the radio of a 1985 Oldsmobile Regency Ninety Eight?
You must remove the entire lower dash assembly- start with the woodgrain trim that runs between the upper and lower dash. There are a few 10mm bolts in the chrome strip at the top, then you pull the vinyl boot at the column forward, put the car in 1st gear to get the lever out of the way, then remove the trim. Then there are a few 10mm bolts holding the lower dash on, and 2 T15 torx screws in the sides (door jambs). Then unplug the ashtray light, and remove the lower dash. The radio is now accessible to remove.

Is there a fuse that keeps the alternator charging?
No. The short summary is that there usually is a fuse or circuit breaker in the line coming out of the alternator that protects the alternator from a sudden surge in power from some outside source and which also protects the engine's electrical parts from a sudden surge that might somehow come from the alternator (very doubtful this would happen). But that fuse doesn't keep the alternator charging in the strict sense of the phrase. What stops an alternator from charging is internal parts failure such as the burn out of a rectifier, bearing failure or the belt which drives the alternator failing or coming loose and slipping excessively. Short of failures such as these an alternator will keep on charging as long as the belt is turning its pulley and causing the rotor inside the alternator to turn.
