Some of the top ten most haunted places in Holland include the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, known for its tragic history during WWII; the Huis met de Hoofden, a historic building also in Amsterdam, rumored to have ghostly apparitions; and the Castle of Muiderslot, where tales of ghostly knights abound. Other notable locations include the Vondelpark, where spirits from the past are said to roam, and the old prisons like the Waag in Amsterdam. The Pieterskerk in Leiden and the old town of Utrecht also have their share of ghost stories, making them popular spots for paranormal enthusiasts.

Traditionally people in general have believed in psychic abilities such as telepathy and clarivoyance. Many people who don't think of themselves as "psychic" nevertheless believe they have had some form of experience where they knew something for which they could produce no rational explanation.

The real question is are there people who have more highly developed abilities, and are all the claims - including those of everyday "non-psychic" people - actually explainable in a logical rational and materialistic way?

While many skeptics have attempted to convince the world that there are no legitimate scientific examples of psychic ability, this is from the actual truth. In fact, there have been literally hundreds of replicated experiments conducted by credentialed academicians all over the world for about a century now. These results have been published in peer-reviewed, scientific journals, such as the Journal of Parapsychology and the Journal of Consciousness Studies. The data clearly shows that some psychic abiltiies, such as telepathy and clairvoyance (today known as "remote viewing") is quite real. So denying it today is nothing more than a last-ditch effort by skeptics to try to convince the world that psychic abilities are not real because skeptics say so.

Skeptics have used science to validate their counterarguments against psychic abilities and phenomena. But Science has changed in the intervening century since the rise of Materialism. Materialism is the dogmatic thinking that only that which can be measured or detected is real and therefore worthy of scientific inquiry. Skeptics - who are mainly materialists - say that psychic abilities and phenomena are not measurable and are therefore not real. They try to explain these phenomena using materialistic counter-arguments. But there is now a problem with this tactic. Materialism has now been scientifically demonstrated as an invalid way to explain reality. It is no longer rational to use classical physics and Materialism as the sole determinant of the validity of any anomalous claim about reality.

The reason for this change in science over the past century is the rise of Quantum Mechanics. Quantum mechanics is the modern basis for all of Science. Once thought simply to be an adjunct and uninteresting side area of study, during the 20th century it has been found that everything in the Universe is in some way grounded in Quantum Mechanics. One of the most important experiments in Quantum Mechanics is the Dual Slit Experiment. And this experiment, as it has evolved over the past century, has now demonstrated without question that an external material objective reality cannot be the sole basis for the reality in which we live.

Briefly, it has been found that it is possible to alter or destroy ancillary information about an experiment and is so doing alter the material outcome of the physical experiment. This should not happen in an objective reality that is solely materialistic. Information has to be connected to the structure of reality in some way. Exactly how this works is unknown. But what is known is that it is no longer satisfactory to rely on a "common sense" materialistic interpreation of reality when examining anomalous claims about reality, such as those of psychic abilities and phenomena.

In the end, each person will believe what they want. And when you think about it, each of us must arrive at our own version of truth. It is not the role of any person or group, self-appointed or otherwise, to dictate truth to anyone else. There do not appear to be any "priviledged few" or "keepers of the truth". There is no need to police statements made by anyone to protect the world against a supposed "rising tide of irrationality". This is the job of each individual. And now that it is clear that there are no easy answers - it is more important than ever for each individual to make up there own minds with no thought or concern for what anyone else thinks.

NVG in our line of work means Night Vision Goggles. And they work the same way the IR cameras work during a ghost hunt.

I used to use NVGs in the early days, but a thermal camera works so much better for live viewing. Using night vision or IR cameras works great when used with a recorder device like a tape, or DVR, for later review.

However, many sleep disorders (narcolepsy, for instance) cause you to hallucinate while on the verge of sleep -- if REM or dream sleep happens at an abnormal point in the sleep cycle, it can happen while you aren't fully asleep, and so while you're falling asleep or waking up you are basically "dreaming" while still semiconscious and aware of the room around you (I have these regularly and they seem VERY real and sometimes terrifying.) Narcolepsy can account for disturbed or disrupted sleep patterns in general also.

It is possible for a spirit to attach itself to a piece of land rather than a house, especially of there was an older structure on that particular piece of land before the new house was built.

No as long as you see them as FICTION. ok they are real and no it is not against god. they are not bad people. my best friend is a vampire and a werewolve. they get a bad reputation for having a taste for blood but now they only eat animal blood so they dont attack people. if u ever do meet a vampire do not tempt them with blood as a joke. they will bite u if they are too thirsty. they can eat human food but it is not always good for them and they cant have too much and they cant survive off of it they halve to feed

According to stories, the Roycroft Inn is haunted. However, I, personally, do not have any proof of a haunting, myself.

no i dont think so probably not. just remember, its just a movie with no connection to any thing like that. its not like demons will crawl out of the tv or anything. :) have a good day!

The short answer, is that the Jury's out. IF we accept the existence of demons at all, we have to decide what we mean by 'grab'.

If you mean physically restrain us with hands, arms or other limbs, the answer seems to be a resounding no. Since we have no evidence that demons are physical like you or me, they can't actually touch us in the same we can touch a table, let alone grab us.

However, if you mean somehow interfere with our ability to move (perhaps by some form of telekenisis or similar mechanism), it certainly seems possible, however, from a purely pragmatic (physical/mathematical) standpoint, even if they can exert that force on us, while it may shock or scare us, we have the physical capacity to escape their grip (this comes from the laws of conservation of energy, as well as a couple other fields). They might be able to slow you down if you were taken by surprise, but otherwise, you're pretty much free and clear.

no, ghost busters is not real. no paranormal entity can become as clear as to what the ghost busters movie showed. the clearest a ghost has ever come is a full body silhouette that shows most body parts. yet a ghost is usually a small orb of light, a dark shadow, or a mist. there is also no such thing as a giant marshmallow that can walk!

apparently there is one that comes out after 8 o'clock that walks back and forth the graige and if you sit on the bum rock and say a females name i cant remember the name but if say it 3 times a ghost comes from out of the distance walking to you from the far side of the graig from cwmnant hill and apparently there use to be 2 homeless people who lived down the graig a lot of people apparently seen them down the bottom of the graig and a women under the name of maria who use to run after you over the graige i don't believe it but you just never know :)

If a spirit smells of garlic that usually has to do with their life and/or death. Try to figure out how they died and who they were in their life, that should answer why they would come across smelling like garlic.

Well really there is many ways you could find paranormal activity if you think about it. Here are some ways that I would hopefully they help you.

1.Try to stare at the walls around and don't blink,your eyes are very sensitive to movement and if you see something keep an eye out for it

2.As seen on shows cameras can veiw things that we can't see.

Or you can just watch SyFy channel and see a lot of ghost shows. Plus some other channels like travel,CN,etc.

Yes, however beware there are some ghosts/spirits that can pass off as friendly spirits to gain your trust and then cause you hell. Its sometimes hard to tell if a ghost/spirit is friendly or unfriendly making it dangerous for you to let one in youre home regardless of the fact. You must have a strong connection to the next dimensions to tell the difference with some ghosts/spirits so its best to make sure you are very very aware to prevent chaos.

There has not been an exact count made but there are actually quite a bit.

To me its multiple things. Sometimes its a whisp of white mist moving from one side of the room to the other sometimes it takes physical form.
