To me its multiple things. Sometimes its a whisp of white mist moving from one side of the room to the other sometimes it takes physical form.

Are indigo children paranormal or science fiction?
If one does not believe in the spirit world, then I suppose that it would seem to be science fiction, but for those who know of the spirit world, it is very real, with the physical world being outside what is considered "normal," as well as being a very boring place!
The current use of indigo is far from its original meaning, which was some with a deep connection to the spirit world. In its original meaning it had nothing to do with how anyone behaved, what size eyes they had, or any other behavioral or physical characteristics. It has to do with the ability to link with the spirit world. This, of course, is nothing new. There have been shamans, medicine people and seers since the beginning of time. What is new is that people who frame the world through the lens of western culture are now speaking of it with more acceptance.
If one believes that we each have a soul, then it is not a vast jump to believe that we can be in touch with our soul, an energetic part of us. Our souls are able to be connected with all things, thus making information available to us that the five senses cannot provide.
Sometimes people's intuitive abilities are out of control and they cannot tell the difference between what is from the physical world and what is from the spirit world. Sometimes empathic people absorb so much from others that they are unable to handle the energy and feelings. Some churches recognize that people can be possessed by other entities, although not like it is presented in Hollywood. These things can be handled by simple training and gaining an understanding of how to manage one's abilities.
Anyone who has ever gotten a "bad vibe" off a place or person is using their intuition. Anyone who gets a sense that something good or bad is going to happen if they go a certain place or associate with certain people they do not know well is getting information from the spirit world. Hollywood has done a lot to skew the perception of what linking with the spirit world is like, although the show Medium is pretty accurate.
There are many who claim to be intuitive, but are not. There are many who say the words that are related to knowing about the spirit world, but do not have an understanding of how it all works and thus do great harm to others. These people, naturally, cause doubt and suspicion about the whole matter.
In many native traditions, in regards to those who have abilities, they do not speak of what they can do. They do not call themselves shamans or medicine people. They live an humble and simple life and face trials just like everyone else. They certainly do not ask for hundreds or thousands of dollars to tell you your future or make things happen. What is the Avilla Missouri ghost story?
The old village streets, abandoned buildings and fields surrounding Avilla, Missouri are said to be known haunts of the Shadow People, who are dark shadowy types of ghosts or shadow-beings. But sightings of the Avilla Shadow Folk should not be confused with the "Avilla Phantom Bushwhacker" of the "Death Tree Legend", also known as "Rotten Johnny Reb". This is the famous Halloween ghost story for the old town. Rotten Johnny is described as a similar shadowy figure but is not a true shadow person. He is a fearfully different type of troubled night apparition and is most likely a revenant or rare type of semi-visible poltergeist that roams around Avilla and haunts the Death Tree itself. It is an enduring Avilla ghost story describing various hauntings involving the ghost of a dead Confederate Bushwhacker whose remains were never properly buried, and an old tree charged with dark or evil energy after his skull was hung on it.
According to one version of the legend, the phantom is not only searching for his head, but vengeance on the town citizens as well. Rotten Johnny lurks in the shadows of the night, a now headless specter wearing a long duster and carrying an antique firearm. The Civil War never ended for him, as he is cursed to fulfill his mission even in death. The rebel relentlessly searches for unsuspecting dead or living "Yankee scum" around Avilla to bushwhack. It is said that the phantom can be seen nearly any night of the year, but seems most active in Autumn. It is thought that his head had been removed on All Hallow's Eve, accounting for his deadly power in the afterlife. Some unexplained deaths are attributed to the phantom, and he is rumored to be the reason why many have moved far away from Avilla over the last century and a half. The old village folk believed that the only way to break the curse was to find the Death Tree and remove the skull, and then properly bury it in a cemetery with other resting Confederate soldiers, or otherwise destroy it in a fire on holy ground. It is also said that the skull itself radiates dark, evil energy and can only be seen on the tree while illuminated under moonlight. You must carry a sharp knife or saber during this dangerous task. Once you see the hanging skull, it must be cut down quickly from the tree before "Rotten Johnny Reb" can cut you down first.
A handful of residents have tried to break the curse over the years, but all have failed, and the knowledge of the tree's location has died with them. One of the clues to finding the tree is that during the day it attracts black crows as a perch. Another clue is that it bears shriveled or rotten fruit, or none at all. It was once near an apple orchard but all the trees around it soon died, and it probably stands alone. The tree was located beside a trail leading to town, but the modern roads do not follow the old Civil War era trails at all, so it is more likely in a field today. The Death Tree is believed to be a very old Osage-orange tree near the outskirts of Avilla, but which side of town is unclear, and the exact location of of it is unknown.

No. Tattoos are inked images permanently engraved in a person's skin. The images depicted in tattoos may represent many different meanings, from extremely vile (faces of demons, etc.) to deeply religious (the Virgin of Guadalupe, the Cross, etc.) Whether a particular tattoo represents a blessing or a curse depends on the intentions of the person getting the tattoo. It is not unusual for devout believers to get tattoos that represent their love and devotion to God.
However depending on your religion some religions to believe that tattoos are a gate way to hell to answer your question but not every religion believes that.
How do you talk to people who have died in your family?
Certainly. Our entire family has used this grief method for many decades. It helps when you miss them or you wish you could talk out a problem. Normally, I just talk to God but sometimes it's okay to speak to your mom or whoever it is you miss. You can even write letters to the person you miss.

Well, a spirit would count as one of the other three. A ghost is the spirit of a deceased individual, who is unable to detach themselves from the world for some reason. By finding out why they are unable to proceed to the next life, you can fix their situation.
A poltergeist is trickier. While there is some debate as to what exactly a poltergeist is, it usually does not take a form, and can be slightly more violent. Poltergeist activity is usually associated with a conflict between people however. Ease the conflict, and the activity should cease.

There is most likely a paranormal group around your area. All you need is a bit of research and I am sure you will find someone. Make sure they are well experienced if you are serious about having someone investigate a paranormal occurance you might have witnessed. You would want to ask about their methods of investigation and how much experience they have had. And make sure to give them preferances of yours if you have any. Like if you have a small house, tell them how many people you would like if you don't want too many in your home.

The idea about belief is that they don't need a scientific explaination, so pretty much every belief and practice do not have real scientific explaination. The closest thing to a scientific explaination I have is that a certain type of energy is there and it can be controlled by humans; but there is little evidence to prove this.
Psychics are often believable because they are both confident in what they are doing and are very good at communicating both verbally and nonverbally. They have experience in asking people just the right questions to get the information that they need. They also have a tendency to be just vague enough that what they say can apply to just about anyone's life. It is uncertain whether or not some psychics actually possess the abilities that they claim to possess, but regardless of whether or not their abilities are real, the good ones have very strong social skills.
