In the grand scheme of things, nothing is great about Paul McCartney. Sure, he may be the most successful musician of the 20th century, but in no way whatsoever does that mean he's the most talented musician of all time. I mean, he only had half the talent that Mozart and Beethoven did; even Mick Jagger is more talented than Paul McCartney, and Bob Dylan is too, of course. McCartney was only popular because he made pop music; even though he's one of the biggest names in music, that does not mean he's actually talented. It's only an opinion that he's talented, because there are some people who hate his music also.
He has his own category in WikiAnswers, and that's pretty cool.
Jane came home one day in 1968 and found McCartney in bed with another woman. She stormed out. They reconciled for awhile, but broke their engagement that summer; she explained that they couldn't agree on when to start a family.
Jane DID find Paul with another woman, but they were just watching TV. But yes, Jane stormed out and moved out. Later that week they were seen together again and seemed perfectly fine. But, sadly, they ended the engagement.
Paul McCartney is mostly associated with a Hofner semi-acoustic bass which he played through most of his Beatles career and continues to play to this day. It is, in fact, the same guitar and has the play list for the Beatles last concert taped to it. He picked this guitar as it was fairly easy to convert for left-handed use.
In the studio, Paul also uses Fender and Rickenbaker bass guitars and an upright bass which was once owned by Elvis Presley's bass player Bill Black.
Paul recorded wrote and sang hundreds of songs in his career. He wrote and sang with the beatles songs like Yesterday, elenor rigby, hey Jude , let it be , get back, cant buy me love, and co wrote with john many songs as well .
No, it wasn't their idea. Paul wore sandals the day of the shoot, and it was hot, so he some how thought it would help to take them off for the picture. He says he doesn't know how the rumor was started.
People thought that Paul McCartney had died because on the album cover of abbey road album Paul had his cigarette in a different hand than he usually does I'm not even kidding the whole rumour started because someone noticed it.
The fact is that Paul had his cigarette in that hand so that it could be seen in the photo (marketing reasons).
No. He was asked to be one and Paul declined saying he had to attend his niece's wedding. It was widely thought that he would be included on the following year's list of honorees but the Board chose James Brown instead. He has not been included since that time. Paul Simon was the replacement when Sir Paul withdrew from the honor.
Eric Clapton did and you can kind of hear Paul McCartney's voice in the second chorus.
His closest prior relationship was with actress Jane Asher (sister of producer Peter Asher, of Peter and Gordon fame, and daughter of prominent psychiatrist Dr. Richard Asher), who lived with him in the mid-1960s. His steady girlfriend in Liverpool was a girl named Dorothy "Dot" Rhone, who roomed with John Lennon's girlfriend Cynthia Powell.
I would ask Paul McCartney if Linda was really the love of his life and if so, why she was not mentioned more in his biography when his second wife was mentioned quite a bit. In the movie "The Story of Linda McCartney" Linda was portrayed as the love of Paul's life. They were married for 30 years and had three children together. The movie made it seem like Paul loved her more than life itself, and Linda was portrayed as a beautiful person. If that is so, it doesn't make sense that she was not mentioned more in the biography.
There may be a few mistakes but it's mainly right:
Jet! Jet! Jet!
I can almost remember their funny faces
That time you told 'em that you were going to be marrying soon
And Jet,
I thought the only lonely place was on the moon
Jet! Oo Jet! Oo
Jet! Was your father as bold as a sergeant major?
Well how come he told you that you were hardly old enough yet?
And Jet,
I thought the major was a lady suffragette
Jet! Oo Jet! Oo
Ah, mater, want Jet to always love me?
Ah, mater, want Jet to always love me?
Ah, mater, much later
Jet! With the wind in your hair of a thousand laces
Climb on the back and we'll go for a ride in the sky
And Jet,
I thought that the major was a little lady suffragette
Jet! Oo Jet! Oo
And Jet,
You know I thought you was a little lady suffragette
Jet! Oo
A little lady. My little lady, yes
No she didn't kill anyone and Paul McCartney is still alive.
Yes, she was nominally Jewish, although there is little evidence to suggest that she observed any Jewish customs or practices. Interestingly, Paul McCartney's current wife is also Jewish, and she seems, according to newspaper reports, to have a much closer relationship to her Jewish faith than Paul's first wife did.
According to Paul McCartney, he plays a Gibson brand Ukulele that was given to him by George Harrison.
According to the Guiness Book of World Records, sales of Beatles records, tapes, CD's, etc., surpassed 1 billion in 1985. To date, sales are between 1.1 and 1.2 billion.
I can't find any evidence or even suggestions that he did. If he did, he certainly waited a long time to do it; he was 92 when he died.
Actually, there is a history of claims that Tibbets either went insane or committed suicide... however, these were mostly made when Tibbets was still alive; mainly by people who wanted to make a moral of some kind by ignoring the actual truth.
Linda Louise Eastman McCartney was the longtime wife of musician Paul McCartney, and mother to his children Mary, Stella and James.
Yes, he is the youngest of five children and has two sisters and two brothers.
Yes, with the music being the main thing that bound them together. Towards the end of the Beatles, McCartney became increasingly estranged from the other three, although there were some difficulties between all of them.
He has written some poetry (published as Blackbird Singing) as a tribute to Linda. He also wrote the screenplay for "Give my regards to broad street". He hasn't been asked to write another one.
Counting her money and looking for her next rich old guy to marry...
Today Sir Paul McCartney is a very wealthy man. Forbes magazine estimates his net worth at around $650 million. Every year, McCartney earns almost as much from another song, "Wonderful Christmastime," as he does from the entire Beatles catalog.
