I disagree, I am biased of course because I own one, there's some good ones and then there's some bad ones - like any online venture.
The Real ones that pay are easy to find and there's several things to look out for :
High to Very High Paid or claimed amount of cents or even dollars per click - to good to be true then most likely it's a scam.
A quick search in Google for http://thesitesurl followed by scam, alert or similar searches, most aged PTCs are reviewed and the legitimacy can be found easily within Google searches.
The real ones are usually paying between 00.001cents to 3cents per click, there's also paid to surf, paid to read, paid to promote aswell.
Remember if it's to good to be true then it's most likely a scam and always Google the URL first and do some basic research.
