1 pie crust (9 inch)
3 eggs

1 cup corn syrup (I prefer dark) can use either
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans, broken (get some pecan halves too, for decorative purposes on top)
Whipped topping (my addition)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450F. Mix all ingredients and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes, and reduce temperature to 350F, bake another 35 minutes.

3 eggs , 2/3 cup sugar, dash of salt, 1 cup corn syrup, 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine, 3/4 cup lightly chopped pecans, and 1 9inch unbaked pastry Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar, corn syrup and melted butter. Add pecans. Pour into pie shell. Decorate top with whole or halved pecans if desired. Bake at 350F for 50 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between centre and outside comes out clean. Cool. Serve with whipped cream and/or ice cream.
