if they pressure and try to persuade you to do something you arent mentally prepared for, like telling your crush about your affection for them or something like that, or to do something bad for you mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, or legally, such as doing drugs, underage drinking, drinking and driving, premarital sex, smoking even if not underage, cutting yourself, drinking one anothers blood, worshipping anyone other than Jesus Christ, tarot cards, wedgie boards, excessive gambling, palm readings, fortune telling, calling upon the dead, etc.

The media zeros in on the teens because they are more vulnerable and interested in technology (filling in a void in their lives.) Some parents who work may feel guilty and try to make it up by spoiling their teens or, some parents simply give the teens money to go out and do what they want to keep them out of the way. The family unity is failing miserably. There is little quality time for some families to be together which is far more important that buying 'things.'

• Some of the greatest people in history stood against many that disagreed with them or, if someone fights for the rights for a cause; race of people, etc., by taking the risk of standing strong on well planted feet facing possible outcry's or even at times physical harm or threats. It is a great feeling if an individual knows something is very wrong and peer pressure prevents most of the others from doing anything while the one person stands strong no matter what the outcome is. One should choose their cause very carefully because sometimes the price is a high one to pay, but a strong individual will always know right from wrong and stand up for those values. If lucky, that one person standing against vast odds of their peers may turn things around for the good and that is why individuals should have the fortitude to stand up against negative peer pressure. It's not okay to be racist. Your judging someone by how they were born. If you were a Chinese kid in an all white school and you got harassed because you weren't like everyone else would you think it's "okay?"... Would you're feelings be hurt? Before you saying something down right rude, put yourself in the other persons shoes and think about how you would feel if they said that to you.

• The truant should be made responsible for what they have done because they know what they did was wrong, but the teacher should phone the parents and discuss the problem so the parents are more aware of what their child is up too and it is then their responsibility to deal with any problems that child may have for truancy and deal with it.

I know that 'meddle" is a verb that means "to break other people's relationships," so i guess you could say meddler. Meddling, though, doesn't always have to involve relationships.

Ex. I go to parties and people would get high off balloon helium and a story was in the news about a girl who died from it so I slapped the balloons out of everyones hands and told them that.. I do that at every party.. I get invited to a lot of parties cuz of it.

For example, it has often been noted that many people start smoking cigarettes because of peer pressure. Smoking cigarettes is a really bad idea. So in essence, there is the risk that your peers might be very foolish. It is always better to figure things our for yourself, rather than to depend upon others to tell you what you should think or do.

Blaming peer pressure shifts accountability away from personal decision-making. It's important to develop self-awareness and confidence to resist negative influences from peers.

into doing things which makes one more acceptable in the society and the peer group. This is more common in teenagers but people who are more worried about their social status and reputation are more likely to have a more serious effect on their life. Doing things just for the sake of getting along the crowd just results in a more status oriented approach rather than a welfare oriented approach.

People end up doing things which they might not want to do but are forced to do because of peer pressure. This in itself is the biggest weakness.
