The most popular sized photo frames are 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10. There are many other sizes, but these sizes can be found in most any store that sells frames.

a gradient when used in photoshop is a layer that when selected has the option of having a start colour that moves through shades of that colour to another. I.e. starts white and as it moves down the page for instance wll go darker and darker until it black.

Clone stamp tool in Photoshop is used to select or copy potion of image and stamp or brush that portion on the another part of the image at anywhere. You can select the portion of the image by holding alt key and click(Alt+click). It is also very useful for remove spots, skin blemishes etc.

The magic wand selects the same colour you click on dependant on the current settings you mentioned.

For example, if you click on some pure white and your tolerance is 1, it will select all of the pure white in that accessable area.

Where as if your tolerance was 50 it would also selct darker shades, like some greys.

Right-click the Background layer and select the option "Layer from background." You can name it whatever you like, select "OK," and then it becomes like any normal layer - this means that you can just delete it like a normal layer as well.

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Elements share the ability to layer elements on top of each other in groups or just layers. Both allow the users the ability to create animation from layer placements. Unlike Photoshop Elements, Illustrator does not have the blending mode that always any layer underneath to be changed through tools like brightness and contrast.

Press letter D on keyboard for default colors black/white, press X on keyboard to revert default collors, click on color picker and choose color in Color Picker dialog or choose color from Swatches. See related link for detailed explanation with screenshots.

first duplicate layer and apply soft light effect from blending options(layers palette-text box where writes Normal,click on arrow and choose Soft Light with top layer selected) if you want to soften edges,duplicate top layer if you want more softness and check if Soft Light is applied on it

Photoshop has ties with other Adobe software for media editing, animation, and authoring. The .PSD (Photoshop Document), Photoshop's native format, stores an image with support for most imaging options available in Photoshop. These include layers with masks, color spaces, ICC profiles, transparency, text, alpha channels and spot colors, clipping paths, and duotone settings. This is in contrast to many other file formats (e.g. .EPS or .GIF) that restrict content to provide streamlined, predictable functionality.

Open both the images. Then choose the move tool, or just hit V, then move the image you want on top to the window with the image you want on the bottom and it will be on top of the other image.

Number of ways.

- If you have a picture open in PS then use the rectangular marquee tool to select the picture you want to copy. Then go click EDIT > Copy.

The picture - open you picture you want to copy this to and once opened click into the picture - go click EDIT > PASTE. Your additional picture will open in a new layer (similar to a picture on picture)

In the bar on the left hand side of the screen, choose the thing that looks like a square with a cross through it. [near the top]

Once you have chosen that, drag the mouse over the area you want cropped.

The part that will be cut off should appear in gray.

Right click and choose "Crop", or "cancel" if you want to cancel your selection.

well, it is a program used to edit photos and images. you can do many things with it. It is a really good program. Adobe Photoshop Elements is the consumer version of the Adobe Photoshop raster image editing product, sold at a fraction (roughly 1/6th) of the cost of the professional product or bundled with related hardware such as scanners and digital cameras. Originally introduced alongside Photoshop version 7, Photoshop Elements targets photography enthusiasts and thus lacks many features that make it useful in a proper print production environment. For example, Photoshop Elements cannot export files in the CMYK color mode, supports a simplified color management system, and excludes detailed soft-proofing. It also either eliminates completely or offers simplified versions of some of the more powerful plug-ins, along with a number of features aimed at non-experts (such as removing the red-eye effect or changing the skin tone in a picture). An example of a redesigned feature would be the Variations correction dialog. ALSO: it started as a program called photo deluxe, then was called photoshop LE (light edition) before becoming photoshop elements

Select Type tool from toolbox on the left side of screen (press letter T or Shift + T) then click and when blinking insertion point appears start typing, that's for point text where you must manually press Enter to switch to new line. To add paragraph text select type tool then click and drag to draw rectangle. Blinking insertion point will appear inside rectangle and you can type text which will aromatically switch to new line when reach end of text box.

smudge tool is a tool that adds the effect of a smudge. it is useful for blending or smoothing out colors and can make a softer look.

There are many ways to select the part of the picture you want to cut out. Once you do select the area you can hit copy from the edit menu and paste onto another photo you want to in Photoshop.
