According to the website, jolly was a pirate serving the bretheren court ( pirate government ) . He wanted to be A pirate lord, and was especially jealous to a certain pirate lord : Jack Sparrow. He later met with a witch doctor to get rid of Jack Sparrow through a game of poker. Winner gets to be pirate lord. Jack won. Jolly, thinking that the witch doctor double crossed him, shot him with his pistol. The witch doctor cursed him to be the undead leader you see today. He now searches for Jack Sparrow for revenge. Yes he was beheaded but with a sword and a cut at the back of his neck because he was fighting Lieutenant Rober Maynard when someone of maynards crew came up behind Black beard and slit the back of his neck and Maynard went home in victory with Black beards head suspended on the bow of Maynards ship. I accually was voting for black beard lol.

Pirate were sailing the seven seas for treasure to steal from merchants, they weren't sailing around randomly they were tracking and hunting ships on trade routes to steal there treasure, and when they weren't doing that they were hiding and trading the treasure that they stole.

Roasted Lime Cave natives. As legend has it, Captain Kidd and his band of blood thirsty pirates attacked a Japanese Island just south of Kagoshima. The name of the island was Takarajima, which quite literally translated into "treasure island". So here is what you do:

1. equip some low level characters with all the maps you have gathered so far as this increases the chance of encountering a pirates.

(do this at level 21, otherwise you will get ambling pirates on every fricking level up to 21+)

2. ascend up to 21+, gency out or get out from innocent town and save.

3. hunt for the jolly pirates up to the desired level and if you dont get them, quit and repeat until you get them (i usually take my leave after lvl 40-50)

Some people say its there to cover either a missing eye or an eye that was wounded in battle, but in actual fact it is conditioning their eye so they can fight in the dark. think about it, it takes an average human eye about 5-6 minutes to change to so called 'night vision', so if i pirate was fighting on deck in well lit light, then had to go under the deck to fight downstairs where it is usually pretty dark, 5-6 minutes is a long time to be swinging a blind sword when people are trying to kill you, so smart pirates would use an eye patch to prepare that eye to see in the dark, so when they would jump down into the dark, they would swap over the eye patch from one eye to the other and see with the eye that has already adjusted to low light conditions, therefore, granting them to see instantly in the dark.
