I have a vest that is 55 percent dacron and 45 percent polyester it is a ugly green is it possible to bleach it white than dye it black Would that destroy it how would I go about doing it?

While I'm not sure about dacron, I do know that polyester does not bleach or dye as well as natural fabrics, such as cotton. But I have dyed many items with great success, so what I would do is to use a commercial (Rit Dye makes one) color remover, then dye it afterwards. The color will need to be lightened as much as possible in order for the vest to take the dye. After lightening it as much as possible (you may have to do the color removal process at least 2 times), use several boxes or bottles of the black dye. Be sure to use extremely HOT water, and if you do it in your washer, set the wash (dye) cycle to repeat before the spin/rinse cycle. You can dye it on the stove, using a large pot in boiling water, but you will have to stir it continuously during the process to ensure even coloring. The instructions on the dye containers will give more detailed instructions, depending on the brand you use. After dyeing it though, be sure to wash with only other like colors, because the dye will bleed onto other garments, especially during the first few washings afterwards.

Are plastic bowling balls good?

Yes, they are excellent for dry lane conditions and/or picking up spares. Their slick surface composition means they will not hook even if you put a lot of spin on the ball and so they will go where you aim them. On a dry lane the slick surface keeps them from hooking too much and allows you to control the ball better than a ball with a grabbing surface texture.
