Very nice car to work on, simply reach up behind the pedal and turn the switch about half a turn clockwise, disconnect wire harness and install new. reinstall harness on new switch. It will only fit one way, and re-install switch.

You can't on the stock equipment. There are several aftermarket set ups though. Maybe ask the guys at International Trophey Cup racing since they use a simmilar car in the series.

pull out the red tagged post in the fuse box at drivers left foot. use jumper cables to temporarily supply car with power, open hood and access battery :)

Under the front hood and along the side panels you will see access holes near each headlight that you stick a long Allen style wrench through (should be with the car in its tool kit). Turn the wrench within these holes to adjust the beam left to right & up & down.

the dealer should have a piece of paper showing Porsche cpo and the checklist went through and signed by the technician and sales manager. And you should get the CPO warranty paperwork with the car when you sign out at the finance desk.

depends on what year, but in the upper 160's is top speed. 0-60 on the s model is low 5.x seconds. plenty fast, but not the fastest thing on the street, but speed isn't everything, handling, braking, steering, and fun factor should be considered. the boxster delivers.

I found several sites that suggest holding down the trip odometer button for 10 seconds while turning on the ignition, holding down the clock set button for 10 seconds while turning on the ignition. None work. I found two solutions that work.

1. Take it to the dealer. If you are asking on an answer forum, chances are you either service the car yourself or use a trusted service station. I use the latter because my nearest Porsche dealer is a long way away. 2.Purchase the Porsche diagnostic software from Durametric. You will get a cable and instructions to download the software. If you don't have a laptop, it will be a pain in the behind. Check their website to make sure your pc is compatible. Once installed, you can reset the service now indicator. It is in the Instrument Cluster section. I first purchased this software because my Boxter S loves to drain the battery if I forget to plug it into the trickle charger. That causes the airbag light to come on. Durametric can clear all error codes and test most functions of the ECU.

To replace the headlight bulb on a 1999 Porsche Boxster you will need to open the trunk and take out the screw of the spare tire compartment. Slide the entire headlight assembly out after loosening it with a hex socket wrench. Then, put a new bulb in place.

This can be dangerous. You are working with a lite explosive here & that needs to be respected. Unplug the battery if in-doubt. Find the back of the steering wheel. On the back side are two holes (one on the left & one on the right). A special TORX like bit will be required to remove the bolts that are in those holes and holding the air-bag in place. Once you loosen those bolts the air-bag will come off of the wheel. Then you will need to unplug the signal wire that goes to the bag.

Therefore, it is not oil.

Brake fluid:

Possibly, remove the wheel and inspect the caliper and lines for wet spots.

But, if it were brake fluid, it would peel the paint, and you would likely notice it.

CV grease:

Not unless you converted it to C4 underpinnings, at which point you would not be asking this kind of question on this kind of website.

Pwr Steering fluid:

Possibly.....

The short answer is check your fluids, and the low one is the one you are leaking...

There isn't a fuel door release button on a 2001 or any Porsche Boxster. When the doors to the car are locked the fuel door also locks but when the doors are unlocked the fuel door will unlock. Open the fuel door and lock the doors and you can see how the mechanism works.

Just replaced mine with bosch 48-690B from Pep boys for $89. The dealer wanted $235 + $55 for the acid. F them.
