Just replaced mine with bosch 48-690B from Pep boys for $89. The dealer wanted $235 + $55 for the acid. F them.

there is usually a set of connections in the fuse box. My 911 has a little plug that pulls out and you connect a 12V back up battery to unlock the hood.

Use a spare battery or a vehicle battery (with engine off).

jack it up place oil pan under oil filter pop hood open where it says oil only go under pull the oil drain plug let it drip into oil pan or bucket then unscrew the oil filter replace with new oil filter put recommended amount of oil where it says oil only

From the rear trunk, remove carpet strip behind the lamp by unscrewing 2 plastic discs. You can then see the black plastic bulb holder assembly. Pull down on the black plastic tab on the lamp holder to release it. The complete lamp holder can then be gently guided out of the rear lamp assembly.

Depends on which Boxster. My '02 Boxster S gets 29mpg on 93 octane on highway and 25 on 93 octane in the city. I have a friend who has a '99 Boxster and it gets about the same but just a little better. It just depends on what you consider fuel efficient.

Open the fuse compartment (black plastic cover with a hole on the top) on the drivers side, look for the fuse chart (folded paper), if you don't it, then look for row B, 2nd from top to bottom and look for the fuse amps, 1st = 15 AMP (Instruments), 2nd = 7.5 AMP (radio) and the 3rd one = 25 AMP fuse will be the horn fuse. There are 4 oxygen sensors, 2 on each side. One is upstream of the catalytic converter on each side, and one is downstream on each side. They're easily accessed by jacking up the car on the side you want to work on and removing the rear wheel (using a jack stand naturally). They are occasionally difficult to remove but gentle application of heat around the mounting boss helps a lot.

Jack the rear of the boxster up. Remove plastic body close out panels from rear and middel of boxster. The fuel filter is located above the coolant lines running in a tunnel in the middle of the car. The fuel filter is above them about where they go towards the engine. You need to remove the connector from the fuel filter. Loosen the gas cap to remove pressure. Then first remove the front hose by pushing in on the clip to the fuel filter, after this is removed you can try to get the last one which is at the back of the fuel filter. It's hard to push this in AND pull the filter away from the connection or vice versa. There is also a clamp holding the fuel filter to the frame. There is also a black foam insulating piece that needs to be removed to pull the fuel filter out rearwards. This is also how you find the fuel filter. You can do it yourself if you are patient and get the car elevated enough to get under it.

The Chevrolet HHR can be opened manually. Your owners manual describes how to do this. There is a small hook on the right(driver side) of the latch that you can push with a screwdriver (it is hard to see you have to poke around a little)after you take the panel plug out of the rear door cover.

Pull out red post in your fuse panel, hook + lead from a 12 volt charger to it, hook - end to door post turn on charger and release hood with switch in kick plate. Access battery and boost.

The horn is located low in the center & just in front of the front wheels. You can gain access from the bottom of the car through a panel hole along the bottom or perhaps through a bumper hole. There are two horns and these are common failure items.

Reach over the drivers side front tire in wheel well. Reach around trim in upper wheel well to find a cable, running front to back, pull toward you and it should release the front hood.

That works on 1998 boxsters. You could phone your local porche garage and ask them how to do it. (they are unlikely to charge you, but they may well recommend you bring it in for them to look at)

Well, to tell you the truth, Mobil 1 (Full Synthetic) oil is the best lubricant on the market. You spent a lot of your money on your Porsche. You may save a bit of money on the oil changes, especially at 10-quarts per change, but by using an inferior product you WILL pay for it in the long run in service bills. The oil specified for the car is 0W-40 Mobil 1. My suggestion is to use it, it will pay benefits in the long run! Never had any problems using it, Ever! Not sure who makes the oil you asked about, but I have been using Mobil 1 in all my vehicles for over 20-years.

It is a fair amount by any car, really depends how those 118000 miles have been driven.

The 2000 Boxter does not have a glove box.
