The easiest way is to reactivate the electronics by sending power through the cigarette lighter plug. There are adapters and jumper plugs available for this at any parts store. You can also access your fuse panel in the drivers foot well and add power through the panel.

This is a little tricky. You open the trunk, no engine. You open the hood, no engine. What gives? They don't call them exotic cars for no reason. Believe it or not, in the 1998 model and others as well I'm sure, you access the upper engine compartment from the inside of the car. Depending on what you are doing, you may need to remove the passengers front seat. In any case, you will need to slide the seats forward for easier access.

You will need to keep the convertible roof up. There are several locking mechanisms located on top of the horizontal panel located behind the two head rests. Simply unlock these mechanisms, raise the panel up, slide the panel toward you (inside the car) then place it outside in a safe place. This will give you access to the top of the engine where you can change the air filter and do simple maintenance. Last year I had to change my water pump. Removing the panel behind the seat will give you better access.

It has a dead battery, gas will not help this condition. LOL. They is a manual release in the passenger door that will open the fuel door, but you still need a battery.

It depends on the Porsche you are looking to buy. a Porsche collector myself, i prefer the Porsche Carrera 4 s. its a 4 wheel drive widebody. i manually installed the turbo so its 0-60 in 2.4 seconds and its retail value is about 120k. However, the Porsche Carrera GT is worth about 430-440k.

My husband and I took our boxster to a local repair shop. They wanted to charge us $800 to replace the light. Told us the entire light assembly had to be replaced to change the bulb. I told my husband not to do it that I would look on eBay for the part. Thankfully, I did a web query and asked how to change a lightbulb in a Porsche boxster and found this site. I'm totally stunned that my local repair shop wanted to gouge us so much.

You can access the reservoir after removing the top engine cover. It is on the top front of the engine left side - basically it would be about directly behind the drivers head.

On the 2002 boxter in the fuse panel at drivers left foot, there is a red tagged thing...pull it out and hook jumper cables to it. This will give your car the power it needs to pop the hood. so that you can get to battery. the other option is there is supposed to be a catch wire near the headlight that you can catch with a hook and pull, this should pop hood.

for my 2002 boxster (not a sport) there is an unmarked raising/lowering switch on the drivers side near the floor close to the clutch pedal. hope that helps.

pull the forward handle on lower door sill on the drivers side.

bank 1 means cylinder 1-3 side, sensor 2 means the sensor after the catalytic converter.
