open the hood pull the carpet back on the side were replacing the bulb pull the round rubber plug out use the L shaped tool with the hex end that came with the car's tool kit on the screw in the hole you pulled the plug out of turn counter clockwise until you hear a click the headlight should slid out the rest is self explanatory

Actually you can but it is not recommended in the owners manuel of the 986S. I would suggest looking in your owner manuel if you have one to see what it says. The chemicals will harm a plastic rear window but if it is a new Boxster with the glass window there shouldn't be a problem. Also, Porsche recommends that you only hand wash because convertible vehicles are never 100% water proof. No! The chemicals they use in the rinse are harmful to the paint and top.

loosen the carpet from the inside of the trunk on the side with the bad bulb, remove the rubber cap in the body. inside the hole is a stud (5mm). it can be turned with the tool supplied in the tool kit or a 5mm socket and extension.

It probably the airbag sensor. If it is a Boxster prior to 2000 it has just gone bad with age. Go to your local shop to have it replaced. It shouldn't be too expensive around $50 to $75 dollars depending on the shops mark up and price per hourly service.

I can, but it wouldn't be as pretty as when it was new. You could bring it to a body shop that does fiberglass repair. Of course, you could do it yourself with the proper equipment and some basic instruction. The process for repairing carbon fiber components is the same as for repairing fiberglass components. There are videos on youtube that show how to repair fiberglass.

if you look on the rear of the motor from the top where the clutch cover meets the block look down between the brake master and intake it has two wires on top and looks like part of the clutch cover but its not very hard to unbolt 6mm Allen head bolts

No. it uses a chain - fitted for life of the car.

First you make sure the doors are unlocked. If they aren't the fuel door will be lock. If they are unlocked all you have to do is push down on the right side of the fuel door and it will swing open then untwist the fuel cap.

No. Porsche uses 2 timing chains that drive their over head cams in their flat six boxer engines used in their 911 and Cayman/ Boxster engine family.

Are the windows all the way down or just a little? If there down a little and won't go up try putting the top down and back up. Make sure it closes tight and latch it they should go up. If there down all the way i don't know what that is

The tool kit and the jack for the Porsche Boxster are located in the front luggage compartment behind the spare wheel. You must remove the spare wheel to get to it.

Very nice car to work on, simply reach up behind the pedal and turn the switch about half a turn clockwise, disconnect wire harness and install new. reinstall harness on new switch. It will only fit one way, and re-install switch.
