Yes unfortunately the test will still show positive as you will still have some pregnancy hormone levels in your body.

i had same problem with my gf's preg test, called "MDS quickstream"

2 horizontal lines meant pregnant and 1 horizontal line meant not pregnant

but she got a very faint vertical line and a dark horizontal line. the vertical line, which was very faint, disappeared after 2 mintues.

I rang MDS and an expert told me that the vertical line is due to fluid running over and as long as both horizontal lines dont show up , it means ur not pregnant.

therefore for mds quickstream a vertical line = negative result.

In my opinion ,since I don't know exactly how your cycles run .I would say to look back to the last period you had and depending on how long it's been and your cycles(every other month ,3 timesa year),if it has been longer than it usually is between periods I would do 1 now. I hope this helps or at least gives you something to judge by. And remember to do it first thing in the morning.

Pregnancy tests can have false negatives (you're pregnant, but the test says you're not) and false positives (you're not pregnant, but the test says you are). Especially if you take a pregnancy test very early in the pregnancy, when your body isn't making enough of the hormones hCG that the pregnancy tests test for, the test could say you're not pregnant even though you are.

You may of tested to early. If your period doesn't arrive in 7-12 days, perform another pregnancy test or see your doctornow fora blood test.

I'm experiencing this right now. A few months ago I thought I was pregnant but the test was negative. I have also been having my monthly period. A week ago I began feeling movements inside of me. My husband can even feel them. We are both confused by this. I spoke to my nurse at my obgyn's office and she says that it is probably just gas or it could even be a bacterial infection. That just seems strange to me because of the movements I'm feeling. I have 3 other children and this feels just like their pregnancies. I would love to hear what other's have to say about this sort of thing. Could I be pregnant or just have gas like flutters inside of me that feel like a baby kicking me for over a week now.

I found out 6 days before my missed period with a 5 day sooner pregnancy test. I would wait atleast until the 6th or 5th day before your missed period. Or with a normal test they day before or of your missed period. :)

You could have something else going on like a huge amount of stress. I am in the same boat and I mean the SAME boat. I am under a bunch of stress but stress never ever stopped my cycle. I have done two prego test but I took them during the middle of the day. I will try one first thing in the morning and see what it says. My guess is that I will seeing the doctor soon.

Actually no, although it does depend on the brand of test, some tests are made to test for lower levels of hormones before your period, whereas some

are meant for after you missed period. It also depends on the person, wheras someone might test positive a week before there period another person might not test positive until a fortnight or more after their missed period. So if you want to test go ahead but if it comes back negative and you miss you upcoming period, then maybe test again in a week or so.

Go to the doctor and ask them to do a test because it is more reliable. Also, it might be too early so I'd leave it another week

well my period is now a little over 5 weeks late and i had a blood test done 2 weeks ago and the hcg was 2 and i had, had a blood test 2 weeks before that and it was also 2. still no period but have been having some wierd twingy feeling in my lower abdomin. I am going to take a pregnancy test in the morning but i know it will be negative. I have a appt. at a infertility clinic next month and if period dont start by then i figure they will give me something to get it started. i hope my answer helped some although i know it probably didnt.

no you could not be pregnant, your just late cause of your hormones go crazy and it messes up your cycle so you might be late on your period. sex for the first time or sex after a long time it messes up your cycle so you become late on your period. so wait a couple of days or the longest a week then you might get your period but if you dont after a week and a half i would do the pregnancy test again; if your that scared go to the doctors to check for sure your not pregnant.

There's no age limit to getting a pregnancy test. You can just pick one up at any pharmacy.
