Many of the tests available now are not specific to time of day past a certain point in pregnancy, often from the time your period is due. If you want to be really sure, do the test first thing in the morning, as the hcg levels in the urine are highest then, and this is what a pregnancy test is looking for. Also, don't test the urine that comes out first, but test the mid-stream urine. However, most tests are so sensitive that they are quite reliable without these precautions.

Often the line appears to be white after the urine has soaked up past it. This isn't a positive result as the sensitive part has not picked up any hcg from a baby's presence, which always shows as a color no matter how faint..

yes, there might not be enough hcg in your urine to produce a positive pregnancy test, wait 72 hours and take another one, if it is still negative and no menses, get in to see your doctor to find out what is causing it.

Tests done at this stage are usually quite accurate. Unless you've used a cheap brand, I'd retest in a few days and see a doctor if the result is still negative but the periods continue to be different to usual or there are other signs you are worried about.

Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate as long as they are used correctly and not expired. The early home pregnancy test is usually done a few days before regular ones are reliable. If you took two more the next day, you may not have produced enough of the hormone for the regular tests to pick up on yet. Your period being late and having fatigue are signs that you COULD be pregnant. I would say take another home pregnancy test and go by those results. You should have enough hormones for the test to function properly now. If it is still negative then you are not pregnant. Many pregnancies do not implant properly and the women never knows that she ever was pregnant.

It either means you're not pregnant or not far enough along to detect the pregnancy hormone. A blood test is most accurate.

It could be birth control pills. They really mess with your period, especially at first. There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.

If it is more than 10 days after your HCG trigger shot, and you haven't had any HCG booster shots since then, it should mean a BFP. It would help if you had tested earlier and got BFN's, to confirm the HCG had cleared your system, at least at levels detectable by HCG. If the test had read negative 6 days before a missed period then that NEGATIVE might be a mistake: there might just not have been enough of the pregnancy hormone yet showing in your body for the test to pick up on and measure to be 'positive' -- but getting 'positive' means the test measures enough of the pregnancy hormone to show it's there! Of course there's always a chance of error because nothing is perfect, but those tests are pretty darn good at detecting pregnancy hormones. Taking the test long before your period would create the chance of the hormone not building up enough yet to make it say POSITIVE. But if it's already reading positive then the pregnancy hormone is already built up enough to show it is there -- remember, the test is saying it is POSITIVE that the pregnancy hormone is PRESENT! Lucky you to know this soon. You can repeat in a few days or see a professional, but I'm sure it will again be positive! it is a very specific hormone ONLY pregnant women have that the test measures.

Yes you could be pregnant even though pee tests at the dr came out negative. To be certain get a blood test done.

Yes. Most pregnancy tests can detect pregnany as early as 1 day after your missed period. The pregnancy tests will state that it is "most accurate" a certain number of days after your missed period, but according to my past experience, they are pretty accurate. If you get a positive result, then you most likely are pregnant, because the tester looks for HCG in your body (the chemical that is produced when you are pregnant). If it shows negative, that can either mean that you are not pregnant, or that you are too early in your pregnancy for it to detect. Hope this helped! Good luck!

I think this is known as a blighted ovum.The sperm and ovum meet but not properly. You get a hormone surge, sign and symptoms of pregnancy but negative preg test. Its a real cheat.
