yes you can, depending on the last time you had sex. Blood test by a doctor is much more reliable than the home tests. Normally if you wait at least 3 weeks since the last time you could have concieved, home tests should be able to tell. If you keep coming up negative and your period doesnt start, them you might have something else wrong. Either way, seeing a doc is not a bad idea. Play it safe

If you are on your period there is generally no reason for a pregnancy test as this indicates that you are NOT pregnant. You should take a pregnancy test if you MISS a period.

There is a small chance that a pregnancy test can result in a false negative. If you feel there is some doubt, take another test. It might also be a good idea to consider seeing a doctor.

Most likely were you too dry, there was chafing or he hit just a little too hard too deep. It takes about 3 days for the egg to get fertilized though and another week to get attached so it has nothing to do with conceiving.

This is not going to be much comfort- I experienced a simiar episode and am now at 5.5 weeks with a repeat episode. My last pregnancy my levels were 3400 ish and only increased to 4700 ish someweeks later. I was told that levels that do not double at least every 72 hours are not promising. ometimes At 5 weeks and almost always by 6 weeks you should see a gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole with electrical activity about 80 to 125 beats. That's what I remember from my Drs apt. There are others with positive outcomes. at 6 weeks the levels can range from 200 to 150000. Good luck I m hoping it works out for you. Take a home pregnancy test. You can buy one at almost any local drugstore or Wal*Mart or Walgreens.
