Islam is an Arabic word that means submission and surrender to God. In this broad sense, Islam started by start of the universe creation where all God creatures were created with full submission (Islam) to God. Upon start of mankind, they are taught through God prophets to be on full submission (Islam) to God. However, they were given the choice to be on full submission to God or to deny God and deny submission to Him. All prophet missions; including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, was to hold submission (Islam) to the one and only one God, the Creator.

In this sense:

The question, as worded, claims Quran is human written and assumes that this is a fact that does need to be questioned but the only question is how long it took to be written. In this sense, it is an offensive question and demonstrates enmity to other faith(s). The question virtually deserves a different answer because Muhammad (pbuh) never composed the holy Quran. Let's see how.

1. Nobody ever could and can write a similar Sura as that of the Quran let alone the entire Quran.

2. He was illiterate. The Quran is so scientific from every branch of science that it is more than impossible for him to write the Quran.

3. Not a single letter of it is distorted whereas the original Bible is extinct and different Christianity has different Bibles.

4. The prophecies of the holy book never proved wrong.

Because Christians don't believe in the Islam religion and if they were to believe in Muhammad they would be Muslim, not Christian.

But if you question why they don't become Muslims, some of them will tell you that they do not believe that Muhammad was a prophet because his moral standard was not very high when you compare it to Jesus.

Also Christians have always believed that Jesus died on the cross and rose to life again on the third day. The Quran, on the contrary, teaches that Jesus did not die on that cross but Allah made it appear as if he did die. This makes a mockery of everything in the Bible and makes a mockery of Allah because Allah is a deceiver who deceived the apostles of Jesus into thinking Jesus had died. This builds an impossible impasse because this makes the god of Muhammad a liar.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had both sons and daughters. They are:

1. Al-Qaasim, from whom he took his kunya Abu'l-Qaasim.
2. Zaynab,
3. Ruqayyah,
4. Umm Kulthoom and
5. Fatemah.
6. Abd-Allaah, with nicknames al-Tayyib or al-Taahir

These children were all born from his wife Khadeejah (Allah be pleased with her). He had no children from any other wife.

Then He has Ibrahim, born to him from his wife Maariyah al-Qibtiyyah in 8 AH.

So, prophet Muhammad had three sons and 4 daughters.
