1) The faith is already given it's name by the scripture itself: Islam
2) Muhammedanism implies two false things:
a) That Muslims worship Muhammad. This is false because Muslims worship only the One God. Muhammad was a human Messenger of God, only.
b) That Muhammad invented this religion. He did not. It is the same message of all the true prophets of God. So said Muhammad, as well as the Qur'an.
