What did the prophet saul talk about?
It is unclear to whom you are referring because there is no "Prophet Saul." Since there are two Sauls in the Christian Bible those two will be brought up.
King Saul of Ancient Israel was not a prophet and had Samuel on retainer specifically because Samuel was a prophet. Saul was not known for delivering rousing speeches at all.
Saint Paul (formerly known as Saul) was also not a prophet. He received revelation, but he is considered to be an evangelizer as opposed to a prophet because he did not make prophecies but spread the religion of proto-Christianity. He generally preached about Christ's saving power.
The five major prophets are Samuel, Daniel , Isaiah, Elijah, and Elisha.
What did King David do during his reign?
1) King David authored/compiled the book of Psalms and gave it to us in its present form (Talmud, Bava Batra 14b). The Psalms (Tehillim), which we might call the soul of the Jewish people, express the yearning of King David and of the entire nation to be close to God. They are one of the foundations of our prayerbook to this day.
2) King David was the one who finally succeeded in subduing all of the surrounding nations (see 2 Samuel ch.8 and ch.10) plus the entire territory of Israel, something which no one else did previously or subsequently. He succeeded in all his endeavors (1 Samuel 16:18).
3) He secured from the prophet Nathan a promise from God that his (David's) son Solomon would build the Holy Temple (2 Samuel ch.7). The First Temple is actually considered the accomplishment of David himself (Rashi commentary, Berakhot 18a), since it existed in his merit (Sefer Torat Chaim, commenting on Talmud, Shabbat 30a).
4) He set the blueprints, with Divine inspiration, for the Holy Temple (1 Chronicles 28:19). Together with the prophet Samuel, he located the spot where the Temple would be built (Talmud, Zevachim 54b); and he dug the foundations for the Temple (Talmud, Sukkah 53a).
5) He amassed vast amounts of material and precious metals for the construction of the Temple (1 Chronicles ch.29).
6) Together with Samuel, he instituted the 24 groupings of families of Kohanim and Levites (Talmud, Taanit 27a).
7) He served God all the days of his life (1 Kings 11:38); and God was with him (1 Samuel 16:18).
8) He was without peer in clarifying and applying the halakhot (laws) of the Oral Tradition (Talmud, Sanhedrin 93b).
9) King David serves as the archetype of the effectiveness of repentance (Talmud, Avodah Zarah 4b).

Who put fiery coals on prophet's tongue?
Coals were not put on the prophet's tongue:
Isaiah 6:5-8: So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts." Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged." Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

In this day and age, there aren't any more real prophets around, as the time of new prophesy has passed. Prophets were people who told others of things to come, which always came true, each and every time. If their prophesies did not come to pass, they were killed via stoning or some other manner. True prophets, all of which are in the Bible, were told to prophesy by God Himself, as he created time and everything else, and since the prophesy came from God, and He can't lie, they always came true. Many people in human history have claimed to be prophets, Mohammed like many others, but they are not really prophets. Nostradamus seems to have deceived many, but as accurate as he seems to be, his "prophesies" aren't that specific, as true prophesies are pretty detailed, and plus not all of his "prophesies" have come true, meaning that he is not a real prophet. As aforementioned, all of a prophet's prophesies must come true to be authentic. Therefore, a prophesies are certainly a dangerous manner, because in the old days, making just one wrong one could end in a very brutal death. Also, even the prophets (before they knew they were or even after) wouldn't try to second guess God for they realized the danger too. All due respect to the answer above and anybody who holds that view as their belief, in reality and according to the John the Revelator in the direct translation of his Revelation written from the Isle of Patmos, the Spirit of prophesy is the testimony of Jesus. Another scripture says that God will do nothing save he reveal his secret unto his servants, the prophets. So a prophet is not just somebody who tells of future events. The spirit of Prophesy is the testimony of Jesus. Thus, in one sense, any man who has a testimony of Jesus has the spirit of prophesy. In another sense, "Prophet" is the actually calling of the representative of Christ on the earth, who has received a special witness of Christ, and has been chosen to be a leader of God's organization on the Earth. For in any time when the true church has been on the earth, it has been lead by Prophets who had received Authority from God to administer unto the children of men on the earth.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He called prophets, and in any time when the children of men are willing to accept His word, he will call Prophets to lead us and guide us, that we may become like unto Christ.
Important to note: The New Testament tells us that not all are chosen to be Prophets, though we all would that we could have the spirit of prophesy.
I know that God calls prophets today. In fact, the Church of Jesus Christ is on the earth today. The times of actually prophesies of future events has not ceased. God loved the people of antiquity, and he sent them prophets. He loves us, and so long as we are willing to listen, he sends us prophets. He is preparing the world for the second coming of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He will come again.
You can hear opinions clashing between sects, and ask--what shall I do? But if you really desire to know the truth of anything, all you need to do is ask God, and be willing to do what is right no matter what. Seek out the Church of Jesus Christ. It is the one that bears His name, and you will find that Christ is at the head, and Prophets and Apostles are His mouthpiece just as they always have been, for God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
If you do what is right no matter what, and seek to know for yourself the truth of all things, God will hold nothing back from you.
This is how you can find out whether or not there are prophets today, where the true church is, and what you need to do to be in harmony with God and obtain all of the choice blessings which could be yours. This is what is meant by seeking, asking, and knocking, that you may find, receive, and that the door may be opened unto you. I know that these things are true, because I have asked, and I have received. PROPHETS COME FROM GOD AKA ALLAH AND THEY ARE HIS MESSENGERS SO I KINDA AGREE WITH THE FIRST AWNSER, BUT THE SECOND ONE... UMMM DOSE CHRISNTYS HAVE PROPHETS? IF THEY DO I NEVER KNEW THAT. I HAVE RECHED MY POINT... XD FRM: MIMI
