It takes 12 hours after your last dose of Adderall for it to be "out of your system" meaning only trace amounts are found in blood and all other bodily fluids, regardless of dose. After 12 hours your brain begins to recover so you'll be able to sleep easily but cognitive functions won't be fully returned to the condition they were in before the 120mg until 48-72hrs after the dose. If for some reason your concern is a drug test, Adderall isn't detected in urine beyond that 1-3 days. It may seem like an exaggeration but from my experience its impossible to fall asleep, and stay asleep until approximately 12 hours after. This of course is with out the aid of other substances such as: alcohol, OTC sleep aids, marijuana, Ambien, Clonidine etc. - which tend complicate things further.

Generally/practically speaking, this is like asking if it is bad to take any drug if it is not prescribed to you.

In other words, it is good to get an official diagnosis. Despite the bad wrap they get, most Psy-docs (neurologists included) know what they're doing. In most cases, I have had the best results with drugs that were prescribed by my neurologist as opposed to those I thought would work for me but didn't work as well (Provigil, for example).

Adderall and the other ADD/HD drugs might not really help those who don't have issues concentrating? For example, my mom's reaction to a stimulant was completely opposite to my own (drove her "up the wall," yet calmed me down).

The symptoms depend on the severity of the over dose. One symptom that will most likely be present even in low scale overdoses is Insomnia. This is usually coupled by Euphoria, talking very often/quite fast, An increase in body temperature, mild to excessive sweating, severe loss of appetite, Rapid heart beat, and an unusual change in behavior. These are some of the most common symptoms of a small to medium overdose which I would say would be 1 to 4 pills more then your prescribed dose. Usually the effects will gradually were off and you will be fine you should however consult a doctor if you are seriously worried or go to your local emergency room. With a larger overdose things get a lot more serious. The effects can include all of the afore mentioned symptoms and one or all of the following. Extreme rapid heartbeat and/or Arrhythmia leading to either cardiac arrest or in rare cases the heart literally rips a hole in itself, Either way you die. Amphetamine induced Psychosis/Paranoia including hallucinations and delusions with a loss of control of your actions. And finally massive Seizures resulting in death. Be very cautious with dietary supplements.... they don't have any FDA oversight, and there are a lot of false claims, conterfeit products, and uncertain doses (the amount of "drug" in a capsule isn't regulated) out there. I don't know the MOA (mechanism of action) of Hoodia, but most weight lossproducts work, in part, by raising heart rate and blood pressure. Adderall can do that to, so it's a double whammie. There is NO effective "magic bullet" pill for weight loss. Diet and exercise, and permanent lifestyle change. Among all uniquehoodia is more better. Yes Methylphenidate (Ritalin) will show up on the hair screen as it metabolizes into compounds that form the basis for the test. The same compounds that Meth metabolizes into so it's important you have a current prescription for it. I did fortunately have a current script when it showed on my test. The answer is yes you can, I have been using them both for years with no problems. That said, dosage of both could be an issue as they both have CNS effects. Even though tramadol is a synthetic version on codiene in its action, it does effect the CNS by slight stimulation, also it works with serotonin, not like an SSRI but it sort of like an agonist.
