Only one blood relative of the holy Prophet (SAW) has been mentioned inthe Qur'an, with the severest punishment for him in the hereafter. He was his real Uncle-Abu Lahb- who was his worst enemy who tortured him, debesed and insulted him the most. How do you recite Taraweeh prayers?

Like any Sunnah prayer, there is no Iqaamah for Taraaweeh prayer. It is offered immediately after 'Ishaa prayer and before Witr. The Taraaweeh prayer is offered in two sets of Raka'aats after which one says Tasleem. If one intends to offer eight raka'aats of Taraaweeh, one offers the first two sets, plus two sets, plus two sets, plus two sets, making the total of eight raka'aats. Then one says two sets for Shaf'u and one Raka'ah for Witr for the total of eleven Raka'aats. If one intends to do twenty raka'aats, offer them in sets of two until the total count is twenty. The procedures of these sets is similar to that of Salaatus Subh, morning prayer. Although there is no recorded Sunnah for how long one should recite Al-Quran after Al-Faatihah, it has been reported from the Salaf, the worthy ancestors and those after them, that they used to recite the whole Suurah Baqarah in eight Raka'aats. However, if one is unable to recite that much, one may recite according to one's convenience, as long as one desires, from anywhere in Al-Quran.

The following Verses in Quran mention about making of the world and the Universe Surah 10, Yunus (ayat 5) 5. He it is who appointed the sun a splendour and the moon a light, and measured for her stages, that ye might know the number of the years, and the reckoning. Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge. Surah 11 Hud (ayat 7) 7. And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time and His Throne was upon the water that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death ! those who disbelieve will surely say : This is naught but mere magic. Surah 13 Ar-Ra'd (ayat 2-4) 2. Allah it is who raised up the heavens without visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course; He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with your Lord. 3. And He it is who spread out the earth and placed therein firm hills and flowing streams, and of all fruits be placed therein two spouses (male and female). He covereth the night with the day. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who take thought. 4. And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts, vineyards and ploughed lands, and date palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one water. And We have made some of them to excel others in fruit. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who have sense. Surah 31 Luqman (ayat 10) 10. He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. Surah 32 As-Sajda (ayat 4) 4. Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Periods of time. Then He mounted the throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember? Surah 41 Ha-mim (ayat 9-12) 9. Say (O Muhammad, unto the idolaters): Disbelieve ye verily in Him Who created the earth in two Periods of time, and ascribe ye unto Him rivals? He (and none else) is the Lord of the Worlds. 10. He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask; 11. Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth: Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said: We come, obedient. 12. Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Periods and inspired in each heaven its mandate; and we decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower.

What is the Quran?

Al-Quran is the eternal miracle. It is the last Book of Allah sent for the guidance of humanity through the last Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH).

Revelation of the Quran

The Quran was revealed piecemeal throughout a period of about 23 years. The Prophet received the first revelation in 610CE, in the Cave of Hira in the Mountain of Light (Jabale-Noor), two and a half miles away from the House of Allah in the city of Makkah in Arabia.

The first revelation was the first five verses of Surah (chapter) Al-Alaq: "Iqra bismi rabbikalla dhi khalaq. Khalaqal insana min alaq. Iqra WA rabbukal akram. Alladhi 'allama bil qalam. 'Allamal insana malam ya'lam, " which means "Read in the name of your Lord who created, created man from a clot. Read, for your Lord is most Generous, Who teaches by means of the pen, teaches man what he does not know." (96: 1-5)

The last revelation was the third verse of Surah Al-Maidah, which was sent down to the Prophet in 632 C.E. : "Al yawma akmaltu lakum dinakam WA atmamtu alaikam ni'mati WA raditu' lakumul islama dinan''," which means "Today I perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you and have chosen for you Al-Islam as your religion." (5:3)

Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening Chapter) was the first complete chapter to be revealed and Surah An-Nasr was the last.

7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Quran

(1) Intimate:

It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Quran.

(2) Incorruptible:

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

(3) Unsurpassable:

The Quran is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

(4) Indisputable:

The Quran withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Quran was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.

(5) Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife:

The Quran is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Quran also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to paradise.

(6) God's Gift of Guidance:

God has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. God tells you why he made you, what he demands from you, and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to it's manufacture specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner's manual for you? The Quran is from your function for success lest you fail to function. It is a healing mercy from God. It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.

(7) Your Calling Card to Communicate with God:

Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Quran tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life- the One God. The Quran tells us who God is, by what name we should address God, and the way in which to communicate with God. Are these not seven sufficient reasons for reading the Quran?

I hope the above is a gate to your happiness, for more information about the Quran you may go ahead and start here using the links below:

How many times Kalma Tayyaba appears in Quran?

(Arabic) Kalma Tayyaba (English Translation Kalma = sentense, Tayyaba = Pure/Clean/True) does not appear in Qur'an in its entirety. However, it comprises of two minimum required components of Islamic Faith, i.e., 'Tauheed' and 'Risalat'.

At the minimum, to be a Muslim, a person has to believe in:

a). Oneness of Allah (Tauheed - from 'Wahid/Wahdat' meaning 'one/oneness') >> (Arabic) La ilaha Illallah - English translation-> there is no god but Allah -- This appears 12 times in Qur'an.

b). Muhammad as Allah's messenger (Risalat - from 'Rasool' meaning 'messenger') >> (Arabic) Muhammad ur Rasool Allah - English Translation-> Muhammad is his messenger

Together, these two parts combined, form the cornerstone and the first of the five pillars of Islam. However, it is not in Qur'an in its entirety and is only a statement of belief.

How is the Holy Quran last book from Allah?

According to Islam, Muhammad was the final prophet of Islam and the Qur'an was Allah (god's) final revelation.

According to Christianity and Judaism (the other monotheistic Abrahamic faiths) the Qur'an was not a book of God.

_____________________________________________

Christianity and Judaism religions do not deny neither the Islam religion nor the Quran. Many Christiand and Jews believe in Quran as Allah (God in Englisgh and same God in Christainity and Judaism) true revelations although they don't convert to Islam.

Is the Qur'an a copy of the Bible?

A:Many Muslims believe that the Koran (Qur'an) was given to Muhammad by the angel Gabriel. On this view it can not be a copy of the Bible. However, others see much of the content in the Koran as being closely based on the Bible, although not in the same narrative form. Especially when there is historical doubt about some of the passages, this can only be explained by the Koran having been copied from the Bible.

Does the Koran say love thy brother as thy self as the holy bible does?

One of the hardest thing is trying to understand another culture by the understanding of the language of your own.

Does the Koran say Love your brother as thy self. The answer is no, not in those words.

However, the Hadith has a similar message. The Hadith is used in Islam to understand the meaning other Koran

" No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself. "

Sunnah "Not one of you is a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." Islam. Forty Hadith of an-Nawawi 13 Mohammed is said to have said "Seek for mankind that of which you are desirous for yourself, that you may be a believer; treat well as a neighbor the one who lives near you, that you may be a Muslim [one who submits to God]." and "That which you want for yourself, seek for mankind." Donaldson Dwight M. 1963. Studies in Muslim Ethics, p.82. London: S.P.C.K I am not a Muslim. Yet, I believe most Muslims would say that unless you can love you cannot possibly be a Muslim. However, like every religion including Christianity there are those who will interpret things there way. Some see Jihad a physical war rather than a spiritual war within ones self to submit to the rule of ALLAH.

If you look at Christian history you will be shocked at the incredible cruelty and bloodshed it has caused in what is said to have been in the name of Jesus.

Yet, Like you I would say that one cannot be a real Christian if you cannot love. In this we share with the Muslims. (Peace be unto Both).

Is loving a girl is haram in Islam?

Absolutely not.

The only thing to be careful is that one does not commit a sin before marriage with the person he/she loves. For example:

1) Not to look at the woman/man with lustful thoughts

2) Not to come in physical contact with the woman/man

Of course, after marriage, there are no such restrictions.

How is the quran organised?

Well... I'm not Muslim, (and its Qu'ran) but we are learning this in RS (RE) and it said that, the Qur'an has:

--> 140 chapters

--> 6236 verses (a single verse is called an Ayah)

-->77639 words

-->323,015 letters

The Qur'an is the Sacred book of Islam

It tells Muslims how to live their life

It is arranged in chronological order (the earliest thing first and the latest thing last)

It is unaltered

It is written in Arabic

It is the Muslim version of the Bible

It is apparently the words from Allah (the Muslim god), given to an angel. This angel appeared to the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him*) when he was meditating in a cave. The angel repeated the words and Muhammed soon learned these words of by heart. Because he could not write, he spread the words to people who believed in Allah. Soon it was written down and this became the Qur'an

If it is translated into any other language it will "lose its meaning"

ps. if there is someone who is Muslim who knows the answer you can improve it and write underneath this, but PLEASE don't get rid of this because it took quite a while (even though i am a fast typer)!! THANKS

Why is the quran used?

Answer 1

Muslims read the Koran (it's spelled many different ways) because Prophet Muhammad received messages from the one God they believe in, Allah, and he recorded them all in the Koran. The Koran is to Muslims (Islam) as the Bible is to Christians (Christianity)

Answer 2

Qur'an is used by everyday by billions of Muslims. Through reading it with or without the book. Chapters of the Qur'an are read through five daily prayers. We have tarawee prayer in the month of Ramadan which is the Qur'an is recited (in Chapters) every night and finished on the 27th day of Ramadan calendar. And millions have memorized the Qur'an from Young Children to Adults. Indeed that is a miracle.

And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? Quran Chapter 54 Verse 17

Is surah Al-Nas is makki or madni surah?

There are 114 chapters in the Quran, in which Surah al Naas is the last chapter of the Quran. The chapter An-Nas meaning is “The Mankind”,  was revealed in the holy city of Mecca, so from this perspective, this is the Makki Surah.  The Surah consists of 6 verses and it is so easy to memorize.
