The Muslim is the one who follows the teachings of Islam. Those teachings are based on:

• Quran, Muslims holy book that is revealed by God (Allah) to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril).

Muhammad teachers that peace will not come until all the Jew's are

removed from the face of the earth.

• Sunnah, the sayings and practices of prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

They worship God as the one and only one God with no partners, no son, no associate and no companion. They perform other ritual worships They follow quran and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commands, do good deeds, and have good morals.

Good deeds are the killing of infidels 009.015

Good deeds are the wiping out of all the Jewish people

Good deeds are the destruction of the Jewish nation

If 'fasting' means to reduce the consumption of food and drink, then Muslims don't truly fast during Ramadan. They simply don't eat and drink during the hours of daylight. Immediately after sunset (iftar), they eat enormous amounts of food to compensate, and this continues well into the evening and early morning, as they visit friends and relatives. They also have large breakfasts before dawn, to see them through the day. Many muslims actually put on weight during Ramadan. Any 'self restraint' shown during daylight hours is completely abandoned once the sun has set!

Furthermore, to help Muslims 'get through' the day (which is relatively-short in Muslim countries, as most lie close to the equator), the length of the working day is reduced throughout that month and, in Gulf countries at least, no expatriates are allowed to eat or drink in public to remove any temptation!

• abstain from all food, drink, use of tobacco, and conjugal/sexual relations from dawn till sunset. This the physical component of the fast;
• refrain from gossiping, lying, slandering and all traits of bad character. This is the spiritual aspects of the fast.
• encourage Muslims to practice prayer, recitation of the Qur'an, doing Zikr, endurance and self-discipline.

Ramadan is the month of training - training the soul and body- to be able to exercise self-restraint. The fasting Muslim is continuously tied with rules and regulations for an entire month and then released for 11 months to see whether the training has been adequate and effective. During this month the personality of a Muslim develops so that during the rest of the year, the trained Muslim does not commit wrong under unrestricted conditions. Ramadan is a month to purify ourselves. Fasting helps to overcome bad habits either gradually for some of us or immediately for those with a stronger will power.

Qur'an instructs (meaning English translation): "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, so that you attain taqwa (self-restraint)" (chapter 2, verse 183). Quran also says: "Ramadan is the month in which we sent down the Holy Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear Signs for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong)."(chapter 2, verse 185)

Fasting in Ramadan means forbidding yourself from eating, drinking, smoking, doing sex from dawn (around 1 1/2 hour before sunrise) until sunset. Out of this period you can do all what you doing in normal days and normal lives (except of course what is not allowed by religion as gambling, drinking Alcohol, prostitution, etc...)

Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan to gain the following benefits:

• Showing obedience to ALLAH (God) commanded us to fast the whole month of Ramadan.

• Gaining spiritual self purification and full submission to ALLAH (God).

• Gaining motivation not to approach what is prohibited to be done by religion. If you are used, during fasting, to forbid yourself from eating food, drinking, doing sex with your partner of marriage (things that are allowed out of fasting) then you will be used to forbid yourself from doing what is prohibited to be done as drinking Alcohol, gambling, prostitution, cheating, etc...

• Getting closer feeling with the poor suffering and you will be more tending to give donations and charities to those who are in need.

• Getting closer to relatives through mutual invitations and contacts.

The major beliefs on which the Muslim traditions are based are:

Eemaan Mujmal: Translation: I believe in Almighty Allah, as are His beautiful Names and Attributes, I accept all His Commands, I declare from my tongue, and testify by my heart.

Eeman Mufassal: Translation: I believe in Almighty Allah. The Angels, all heavenly Books, all Prophets, in the Day of Judgment, and this that Good or Bad Destiny is from Him, and that there will be life after death and then No death (Eternal life in heaven or hell).

1. Belief in Almighty Allah (God): God- Allah is ONE Allah. There is no god but He. He and He alone deserves worship. He is All-Knowing, All-Seeing. All power lies in His Hands. He will punish the sinners and reward the Good. He is Eternal, Unique, and incorporeal. There is nothing like Him.

2. Belief in Angels Created by Almighty God- Allah Karim from light. They are obedient to Allah Karim. Carry out His commands. The Jews and Christians also believe in the Angels.

3. The Muslims believe in all heavenly books, including Tora, Zaboor, the Bible, the last one being the Qur'an. .

4. The Muslims believe in all the Messengers (Prophets May peace be upon them all) of Almighty Allah- No distinction among them. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) being the last Prophet of Islam. NO Prophet after him.

5. The Muslims believe in the life after death, resurrection and the Day of Judgment. Almighty Allah Karim is the Sole Ruler/Master of that Day. He enjoys the absolute authority to send people to Heaven or Hell. .

6. The Muslims believe that good and bad Destiny being in the Hands of Almighty Allah. No One can change his destiny.

7. Life hereafter: All the dead will be raised again and judged according to their good or bad deeds. There will be no death to them.

8. Hell and Heaven (Paradise)

9. The Muslims believe that Nobody can take the responsibility of some other person's deeds.

10. All thehirk.

What is shirk? Why is it wrong?

Let us first decide what shirk is:

Shirk means to associate Partners with Almighty Allah (God). It is of two kinds

1. Shirk in Person. To say that there are two or more gods along with Almighty Allah. These gods also deserve worship. They enjoy equal powers to Almighty Allah.

2. Shirk in the Attributes (Qualities/capabilities) of Allah. To accept that there only One Almighty Allah, yet there are some pious people/peers/aulias/ deities/ who can work in the scheme of universe and can exercise their powers to give benefit or to do harm to people against the Will of Almighty Allah. People call upon these personalities (dead or alive) for help. This is also Shirk.

The opposite of Shirk is Tauheed. To believe that there is no god except ONE and ONLY Almighty Allah. He has no Son, No Parents, No Partner and No Associate what so ever. He and He alone deserves Worship.

Shirk is wrong for many reasons. As Almighty Allah is the Sole Creator, Sustainer, Provider, and Ruler of all worlds, Only He deserves worship. It is the most hateful Injustice to associate Partners, Off-spring, Parents etc. to Him. He may forgive any other sin, but He shall NEVER forgive Shirk, it's the Greatest Injustice.

All that has been declared illegal (Haram) by Almighty Allah in the holy Qur'an or by Prophet (SAW) in his doings or sayings. For example:

1. Attributing any Partner or Associate whatsoever with Almighty Allah.

2. Killing any innocent human (irrespective of his caste, creed, color, country, religion)

3. 3. Even halal animals or birds attributed to any idol, holy man, any Deity.

4. Worshiping anything else than Almighty Allah.

5. Adultery

6. Usury

7. Usurping the property/belongings of others

8. Backbiting, theft, robbery/rebellion etc.

9. Disrespect of any of the Prophets (May peace be upon them all)

10. Falsehood, fraud, cheating, defaming others

11. Eating flesh of dead animals/birds. Eating flesh of animals/birds declared Haram.

12. Performing any act of prayers against the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW)

13. (Bida'at) Inventing or adding any act of prayer not mentioned by the holy Prophet or Khulafai Rashidoon

14. (Bida'at) Deleting/subtracting any act of worship from the actions of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

This is how the Quran has described mountains. God (Allah in Arabic) says in the Quran:أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا ﴿٦﴾ وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ﴿٧﴾

Meaning English translation:

{Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs?}

[Quran, chapter 78, verses 6-7]

Modern earth sciences have proven that mountains have deep roots under the surface of the ground and that these roots can reach several times their elevations above the surface of the ground. So the most suitable word to describe mountains on the basis of this information is the word 'peg,' since most of a properly set peg is hidden under the surface of the ground. The history of science tells us that the theory of mountains having deep roots was introduced only in the latter half of the nineteenth century.

Mountains also play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth. They hinder the shaking of the earth. God has said in the Quran: وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَارًا وَسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Meaning English translation:

{And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you... } [Quran, chapter 16, verse 15]

Likewise, the modern theory of plate tectonics holds that mountains work as stabilizers for the earth. This knowledge about the role of mountains as stabilizers for the earth has just begun to be understood in the framework of plate tectonics since the late 1960's.

Could anyone during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH) have known of the true shape of mountains? Could anyone imagine that the solid massive mountain which he sees before him actually extends deep into the earth and has a root, as scientists assert? A large number of books of geology, when discussing mountains, only describe that part which is above the surface of the earth. This is because these books were not written by specialists in geology. However, modern geology has confirmed the truth of the Quran verses.
