How do you settle in your new baby rabbit?
acutally, my best friend just got a mini holland lop/mini rex mix bunny and she is soooo cute! She's only 9 weeks old and she is very energetic. My friend says that her dog who happens to be a little Yorkshire terrior loves to play with her bunny. You should keep the door closed and then let them roam around in your room to get used to it. Mini lops need a lot of room to run around and get comfortable before they can start cuddling up in your lap with you. It's always best to potty train them so they don't pee or poop in your room. If you potty train them, they will know not to poop or pee when you are holding them which is always good. My friend just got her bunny last Sunday, which was on April 25th so her bunny has been with her for just about a week. She brought her in to school with the permission of our middle school principal and she brought her around to my advisory and i got to hold her! She didn't squirm or anything, but i guess her bunny is just really sweet and likes to be held. Uh, so thanks, hopefully i will get a bunny soon, haven't asked my dad yet though, can't wait! Good luck with your bunny and hopefully this gave you an idea of how to handle them and make them more comfortable, bye!
Can you give a newborn rabbit baby formula?
No, you can't -- that would kill the baby. I'm assuming that you bred your doe and something went wrong and the babies need to be hand fed. The best type of milk to feed baby rabbits is rabbit milk, obviously. This is why it is recommended to breed two does at the same time, so that the other rabbit will adopt the kits. Rub vanilla on both litters and the doe's nostrils. This will get her to accept the babies. If you do not have another milk producing doe, feed kitten milk substitute to the kits using a dropper or bottle. The nozzle should emit a fine spray, not drops. Do not feed them normal milk form a carton.
What is the difference between a human's ear to a rabbit's ear?
Rabbits have long external ears. Frogs do not have external ears. Or, maybe they have some kind of hole at most. Take a look at some pictures of frogs.
Rabbits shouldn't eat seeds or nuts. See the related question below for more details and links.
Most rabbits have a brown tinted coloured fur so i guess they could conceal themselves next to dead grass and mud. Rabbits would probably use tall grass to hide in (if there was any available) to escape danger. Rabbits are pretty fast and don't tend to venture too far away from their burrows. They also use body language to warn fellow rabbits that danger is coming.
Arctic hares are pure white and can camouflage perfectly agaist the snow, in the summer their winter coat moults and changes colour from white to brown. Which is a perfect colour for the summer scenery.
Why does a rabbits mum lay eggs?
they do not eat her children. i have a baby bunny and her mom did not eat her.
Answer
Mother rabbits are notoriously fussy; they need a cage alone without the male nearby in a quiet environment. Provide a proper nesting box for the babies. Then, she will be more likely to care for them. If she is killing her babies, you might try caring for them yourself after calling an animal rehab specialist for advice.
Yes, as disgusting as it sounds, rabbits do eat their poop! Rabbits produce two types of poo. 1. Harder, pellet type poo 2. Soft mucus covered poo. The softer poo is called cecotropes. These aren't normally found in a rabbit's cage as these are the type they eat. These types of poo are very high in nutrition and contributes to a major part of the rabbit's diet. It also gives the rabbit's digestion system another opportunity to use up all of the goodness out of the original food.
Can bunnies eat celery and strawberries?
Sometimes you can feed rabbits celery as supplements for their food if they don't have all the necessities in it but definitely don't let them have too much and don't feed it at all to a bunny under 6 months!
Rabbits like celery because it has a good crunch to it and it's a little sweet. Pet rabbits will eat all kinds of things that aren't very healthy for them. That's because they've lost many of their wild instincts; and, if the food is not part of their natural habitat, then they never learned instincts about it to begin with. You can't trust a rabbit to know what's good for it: that's your responsibility as the pet owner.
If you give your rabbit celery as a treat, make sure you cut it up into pieces because the strings can wrap around their teeth and cause serious problems.
A healthy diet for your pet rabbit is lots and lots of hay, some dark leafy green vegetables, pellets, and occasional treats. Celery itself falls into the "treat" category; celery leaves, when they're dark, fall into the "leafy veggies" category.

Where can I find a really pretty rabbit hutch?
Little Tree Trading Company (see related link below) make beautiful hutches, I have never seen any chicken coops or rabbit hutches like them.

Rabbits don't bathe in dirt, really. Some animals take dirt baths, like sparrows for example. Rabbits make burrows in the dirt to live in, and they lie down in dirt on hot days because the dirt is cool, but they don't bathe in dirt.
Rabbits groom by licking themselves and each other.
How do you put a harness on a rabbit?
There are many ways to introduce your rabbit to a new harness. But you may want to train him in his early stages this way he can have a longer period of time to get used to it.Also, when you first get it dont immediately put it on him; first let him see it and snoiff it. Occasionally putting it in front of him and letting him play with it.Tell him it's okay and it wont hurt him. Give him a while to adapt to it.He may not take to it right away. First after a while slip it on him; then if he doesnt take it right away let him know it wont hurt him then try again.if you do successfully get him in it before you put the leash on let him run around with it on for a while this way he can get used to it After a period of time introduce the leash to him the same way.Good luck!!
Do male rabbits fight with each other?
If they are neutered, maybe. But rabbits are very territorial and still may not get along. Every rabbit should have it's own cage. Rabbits do fight if they feel they are competing for food, territory or female rabbits.

How long area you needed to keep rabbits cage?
I would recomend at least 1 year to 2. Rabbits sometimes get into bad habbits and chew the cage. My rabbit does that and it can get very annoying. If your rabbit chews the cage then smear the sides with non-toxic rabbit deterant. My rabbit doesn't chew the cage but iisn't scared to be in there because it's only on the parts he chews!

Can floppy eared rabbit live outside in the winter?
It depends on the climate where you live. Pet rabbits are descended from wild European rabbits, and they can't handle very hot or cold temperatures. If it stays between 10-23 degrees Celsius where you live (50-75F), that is fine for your rabbit.
There are other dangers outside, not just bad weather. Parasites, insects, poisonous plants, predators, and so on.
