Do jack rabbits hatch from an egg or are they born live?
Jack rabbits are mammals are born alive just as you are. Except the mother has several at a time.

What kind of fur do rabbits have?
WillowArcane here
Normally, matted fur on rabbits is around the base of the tail, and can be caused by an animal that deficates/urinates and then sits down upon it, causing it to clump over time. This can also cause the anal passage to become blocked and make defication difficult, so it should immediately be taken to a vet so they can shave the effected fur off. If the matting is in another area of the body, it could possibly be a sign of an infected wound that has been hidden by the fur, and a vet should be consulted.
xxxkAyxxx Here

Why not? If your rabbit likes it, then let it have red peppers. He knows better than anybody what is good for him! But I think carrots are a better choise for him...

My rabbit eats habanero peppers
What should you do when your pet rabbit is pregnant?
Pregnancy can be detected ten to fourteen days after mating. Physical palpation is the most common and accurate way breeders determine if a doe is pregnant. Between the tenth and fourteenth day of gestation, the fetuses grow rapidly, making them detectable by touch to the experience breeder.
The doe receives no special care prior to detection of her pregnancy. once it's determined that a doe is pregnant, some breeder gradually increase her feed until two days before kindling (birth), then they decrease it.
It's important not to over-feed a doe before or during a pregnancy. obesity can make kindling difficult and can make it difficult for the doe to become pregnant in the first place. Internal fat can build up around the fallopian tubes and block eggs from descending.
Around twenty-seven days after mating, the doe needs a nest box, a place in which she will give birth and care for her young. The nest box should be clean, well ventilated, dry, filled with nesting material, and not too big or too small. The American Rabbit Breeders Association recommends that a nest box be about 2 inches longer than the doe in sitting position and 2 inches wider than the doe in the same position. A doe will foul (urinate and defecate in) a nest box that is too large.
Kindling
Kits are usually born in the quiet of the night, thirty-one or so days after conception. The doe licks and cleans each kit as he or she is born, and then the doe eats the placenta. A wise breeder leaves the dam (a mother rabbit) to her business and doesn't disturb her. Disturbing the new mother can stress and frighten her and her young. The next day, the breeder checks the dam and litter and removes any kits born dead. There are usually two to twelve kits in a litter depending on the breed--small breeds have smaller litters than large breeds. Newborn rabbits are extremely helpless. They're born without much fur, their ability to move is limited, and their eyes and ears are closed.
Lactation
The dam produces milk suited especially for her growing youngsters. The first few days she supplies the young with a "first milk" that contains substances to protect the vulnerable kits from disease. Though blind and without hearing, the kits have a sharp sense of smell, which is how they find the doe's nipples: the kits smell the milk. The young rabbits nurse once or twice a day until they are weaned several weeks later. Lactating is demanding for the doe. Breeders must pay close attention to her to ensure that she is eating and drinking properly to keep up milk production and to prevent nursing problems.
Weaning
The young rabbits grow and thrive under the doe's care. Their eyes open at about ten days, and they're out of the nest box at three weeks of age. As soon as the youngsters are out and about, they can start nibbling on pellets. Weaning, the time to stop nursing and be separated from the doe, usually occurs at about eight weeks of age, sometimes later in large breeds. This, too, can be a stressful time period, and breeders take special care of the doe and young to prevent difficulties.

Guidry, Virginia. Rabbits: the Key to Understanding Your Rabbit. BowTie Press, California. 2001
*Please note:
1) It is normal for the doe to spend most of her time away from the nest, so as not to attract predators, so do not be alarmed at this behaviour.
2) Some mother rabbits will eat their young from fear if they are handled before their eyes are open; so as exciting as it is, try not to handle the new family for approximately two weeks.
3) Once baby rabbits are weaned give them unlimeted pellets and hay also no fruits and vegies until at least 7 months the start feeding small amounts of lettec and no fruit until they are 1 year.
Okay ya right i am a breder of mini rex rabbits and when you ween them give them pellets and hay nothing else and keep one or 2 of moms poo pellets in the nest box as the kits will nible them and get valubale bactirea for there digestive tract.
Taking care of a pregnant rabbit is very easy, but there is some things you should know first.
Make sure the doe is out of the bucks cage, or else when the babies are born the buck will attack her and the babies. But if they are already in seperate cages then...great.
NESTING BOX
Ok, I hope you have a nesting box in the cage for the mother or else she will give birth on the wire and the babies will freeze. You can easily build a nesting box with 2 pieces of wood but just make sure there is no nails sticking out. The box should be a little bigger then the doe so she has enough room for her plus the kits.
MATERIALS
You need to provide nesting material so she can make a nest. This is most important. Iv always used tons of hay, a blanket or towel, newspaper, and woodchips. You can use any of these things but i find hay most important. The Doe will also use its fur to line the nest but more materials are neccesery.
FOOD/WATER
Your rabbit, just like any other pregnant creature needs lots of food. She will be eating more then she ever has for the 1st 3 weeks. On the last week before the babies are born she'l cut down on eating a little. Dont be worried if she doesnt eat or drink anything at all about 2 days before she has the babies. After the babies are born she will be drinking ALOT of water so provide alot of water for her.
Thats all you do, its very simpe and easy. :) good luck and I hope you have as much fun with the kits as I did!
because there is a mutch smaller space over there and they dont have mutch sapce to repopulate
if you ask me i think rabbits are a waste of space and we should wipe them out!!!!!!!
Would a bunny beat a human in a race?
Over a short distance yes. If it was a long distance race over several miles the human could win.
Baby rabbits drink their mother's milk, i.e. rabbit milk. If the baby rabbit is domestic and orphaned, you can try feeding it Kitten Milk Replacer (KRM); if the rabbit is wild, use goat milk. However, it can be very, very difficult to hand-raise rabbits, especially if you aren't experienced. If you find yourself in charge of an orphaned baby rabbit, do lots of research and contact local experts in your area. See the related link below for a place to start.
In English there are no masculine or feminine forms. English uses gender specific nouns for male or female,
for example:
The noun for a male rabbit is called a BUCK.
The noun for a female rabbit is called a DOE.
The noun for a baby rabbit is called a KITTEN.
How do rabbits influence their environment?
Rabbits can do a lot of good for the environment, especially pet rabbits. They love dandelion greens and flowers, so are a great way to get rid of garden and lawn weeds. The recycled paper types of bunny litter can be disposed of in your compost pile for fertilizing your garden, being biodegradable as well as rich in nitrogen and phosphorous. And some favourite rabbit toys are things you would normally throw away, such as toilet paper rolls, outdated phone books, cardboard boxes, etc., which can still be recycled afterwards.
Is there a stronger urine smell in female rabbits than male rabbits?
yes it is I've always wondered that so i tested it
anything that it thinks is okay
A feral rabbit eats grass, dandelions', roots that they dig for, any vegetables or fruit that is on the ground (not including potatoes) any grains such as wheat or barley. This is why myxomatosis a cruel virus that was introduced by farmers who were having their crops destroyed.
"Feral" means an animal that is living in a wild state after having been domesticated.
In North America, feral rabbits means bunnies that were pets, but escaped or were abandoned by their owners. In the UK or Australia, feral rabbits means rabbits that were introduced into the environment and became a huge nation-wide pest; they had to be controlled by introducing a virus into the environment (Myxomatosis).
Feral rabbits eat whatever they can find. If they're lucky, they eat a natural diet of grasses, leaves, weeds, herbs, and twigs.
People sometimes release their pet rabbits thinking they're letting them free. In many cases, these rabbits don't last long or lead good lives, because they can't defend themselves from threats, and they can't find the food and shelter they need. And then, if feral rabbits do happen to thrive, then they inevitably turn into a pest animal to the local community.
If you can't or don't want to care for your pet bunnies anymore, you should give them to a good animal shelter or find them a caring and responsible home. Spaying/neutering rabbits also will prevent overpopulation.
Is it possible for your female rabbit to not get pregnant?
It is ok because if the bunny do not have a mate then there will not be any babies. If the bunny do have a mate then it is still ok because it will not harm the bunny.
How do rabbits adapt to their habitats?
Rabbits are small, flexible, and fast-moving. Their size helps them stay underground and in small bushes or other spaces. They are very flexible, which helps them run, avoid enemies, and hide. They also have very large feet that let them hop long distances and run.
Rabbits like to play with toys. They also like to go outside and run around, so if you have a rabbit harness you can take him outside. Rabbits like to chew things, so if you have a wooden toy that he can chew on he would be temporarily happy. Rabbits also like to hide places, and they like rattly toys. If you do put a rattly toy in his cage, make sure that the material of the toy is something that he can eat and wouldn't be bad for him.
They were made for a food source for other animals. Most predators survive mainly on the rabbit for food. If the rabbit didn't exist, most carnivores wouldn't as well.
Do Rabbits Explode When You Give It A Banana?
Potentially, most anything can explode. However, intentionally causing harm or abusing animals is not something allowed by most laws or by the ethics of many cultures.
Rabbits moult three or four times per year, about every three to four months. Sometimes the moult is light and the rabbit doesn't lose much fur. Often the heaviest moult is in the spring and summer, when the rabbit loses his or her winter coat.
Brush your rabbit regularly when s/he is moulting. When rabbits swallow a lot of fur, they can get deathly ill (GI stasis). Rabbits can't vomit fur balls like cats can. (See the related questions below.)
How do you tell if your rabbit is healthy?
When the bunny looks bored it's usually just very relaxed. It'll be laying flat on her/his tummy with open or closed eyes. It won't be breathing too hard. Make sure you put your hand in front of its nose if you want to pet or pick up the bunny. A few times I've pet my rabbit and it really startled him. It's kind of like having someone suddenly wake you from a nap. Probably very annoying for the rabbit, and it'll definitely make her/him tense again.
How can you get your dog and rabbit to get on?
That is sort of like asking can I get my cat to be nice to our pet mouse. They are by nature not compatable. if raised from kitten and pup, they may learn to get along. However, if they were introduced as adults, You may have no recourse than to just deal with the fact that they will not like each other. Time may get them to tolerate one another, but that is all you can hope for.
Would a squirrel behead a wild baby rabbit?
No, because even if it was a baby rabbit it could still run fast, but it's also possible because squirrels also run fast
