Can a rabbit and a cat have offspring?

If you mean, can there be a cat-human hybrid, then no, absolutely not; the genetic material is too different for the two to combine successfully.

Humans can, of course, have children, and cats can have kittens, but the two cannot combine to form a cat-human chimera.

How do you nurse a baby wild rabbit?

Usually you don't want to wean baby rabbits if the mother rabbits is feeding them. For orphan rabbits about six to eight weeks old if they still wanting to be fed you can start diluting their milk. Like 75% milk and 25% water and gradually diluting it more and more until the babies loose interest in eating milk. But they will need to have pellets and water in their pen when they are about 3 weeks old!

Can rabbits eat sweets?

No you should not feed your sugar gliders rabbit food. They have a very specific diet they need to remain healthy.

I have two male sugar gliders. I researched on the internet quite a bit to get a proper diet for them.

I use this daily:

3 fresh veggies (Chopped very small)

3 fresh fruit (Chopped very small)

Sprinkling of crushed monkey biscuits

5-10 small meal worms

1 teaspoon of Leadbeaters mix:

The Leadbeaters mix is a frozen mixture of:

1/2 cup Apple juice

1/2 cup honey

3/4 cup hi-protein baby cereal

1/4 cup wheat germ

1/4 cup sweet potato - grated

1/4 cup carrots - grated

1 hard boiled egg w/ shell

1/2 teaspoon Rep-Cal reptile vitamins

1 turkey&sweet potato baby food / 2 1/2 ounce jar

Do rabbit eat three leaf clovers?

Clover is a legume green, which means it's high in protein and calcium. Too much will make your rabbit sick, but a little bit (a few bites) is fine as a treat. Clover is excellent for baby rabbits over 12 weeks, and pregnant/nursing rabbits, because they need the extra protein. Baby rabbits of any age and pregnant/nursing rabbits can also eat clover hay.

If you're picking clover from your yard or another outdoor place, consider whether it may have pesticides, pollution (like car exhaust), or any other chemicals on it, because these things can harm your rabbit. Also, other animals (like raccoons, cats and dogs, and any wild animals) may have left behind parasites on the clover, and these could also make your rabbit sick.

What is important about rabbits?

They help with overflow of plants, vital for the food web, and are, well, sometimes needed to survive in wilderness areas -when there is no food (they're sometimes good to eat you know).

Also, without them, the whole food chain would get messed up and there would be too much grass and the animals that eat rabbits would then die of. The animal who ate that animal would die off and more animals would become extinct.

What is The size of snowshoe rabbits?

Is it legal in Tennessee to kepp wild rabbits?

As far as I know, it is illegal to keep any wildlife animals. This includes birds, anything that is alive in the wild.

The reason for this is to keep the wild life population correct. Rabbits also breed a couple times throughout a year and if you catch a wild rabbit, the babies may die without the parent.

Even if you find a baby rabbit without the parents you are supposed to contact the TWRA.

I work for animal relocation services, for nuisance animals, so I do know people who do keep wild animals as pets but you always take the risk of the animal dying from stress.

Hope this helps.

What color is a rabbits tail?

rabbit spray is naturally a cross between yellow and orange but if rabbit is ill it can look a little like blood with a tint of orange.

Do mother rabbits move their new born rabbits?

Yes they do move.

They will sleep for long periods of time and will jump in their sleep occasionally like puppies do. They will also start to jump if it is around feeding time and they sense the mom is in the box or close. They will also make a squeaky kind of grunting noise at feeding time.

How young can a rabbit breed?

Rabbit kits begin testing out their hay and pellet feed at about 3-4 weeks, during this time they are still nursing & need their dam's milk to develop into healthy rabbits. Does generally begin weaning the kits, refusing to nurse, at around 6-8 weeks - sometimes depending on the size of the litter.

Breeders of commercial rabbits tend to wean slightly earlier than "Fancy" rabbit breeders. Meat fryers are (usually) weaned from 5-6 weeks, while pet/fancy/show breeders may wean kits from 6-8 weeks.

Best Wishes!

Can baby rabbits eat fruit and vegetables?

Yes, 10-month-old rabbits can eat lettuce. Rabbits can start trying (in small amounts) fresh, dark-coloured leafy greens at the age of 12 weeks. From 7 to 12 months, rabbits should be gradually transitioning to an adult's diet. Dark-coloured lettuces are healthy for rabbits in moderation: too much can lead to illness (diarrhoea). Dark lettuces can be included into the rotation of daily "salad" greens, but they shouldn't be fed every day, and the daily salad shouldn't be made-up of only lettuce (include other greens like carrot greens and dandelion). White and light-coloured lettuces should be avoided entirely because they're low in nutritional value and even small amounts can lead to diarrhea.

What are the behavioral adaptations of a hare?

  • Third inner eyelid which helps protects the eyes when digging
  • Thick and loose coat to protect skin against the teeth of a biting predator

Can bunnies eat ice?

How do you stop rabbit from digging holes and burrows?

The best way to stop a rabbit spraying is to spay and neuter.

Female generally stop breeding around the age of 9 months.

How long has rabbit hunting been around for?

a VERY long time! I'd say about 6500 years, maybe more! Before rabbits existed, there used to be hare hunting, then they found rabbits and preferred them because they had a softer coat, and had a sweeter flavour for eating. I hate talking about rabbit hunting because I just LOVE them, but when it comes to answering, I am VERY keen because I am so chatty!
