The third digit after the period in the model number designates the cubic feet of a refrigerator. Your third digit is a 4 which designates a 14 or 24 cubic feet. Since Sears didn't make a 14 cubic feet side by side refrigerator, your refrigerator has to be a 24 cubic feet box.

is it plugged in? check the dial within the fridge to unsure it is not set to low. if it is all the way turned up and it is still not cold you may need a freon recharge. Call your local appliance shop.

Quite possibly the compressor is not operating correctly. possibly the condenser is verry dirty or the condenser fan motor is not running. The fridge doors may not be closing tightly or the evaporator fan motor may not be running when the doors are closed.

with a 900 Watt generator, your actually running about 800 watts and it jumps to 900 when apliances kick in. You should be able to power your refrigerator and sump pump during an emergency, depending on the power consumption of your fridge.

As a rule of thumb look at both for wattage usage and add another 10% for when they kick on and that should give you what wattage you need.

For example Lets say your running the following

Standard energy saver 18 cu.ft Refrigerator - 300 watts. runs 30% of the time

Sump Pump - 500 watts. Stays on 100% of the time. Wattage low until pump kicks in.

The maximum wattage your using is 800 watts. However when one or both apliances kick on there is an extra energy draw.

BTW a 900 Watt generator would be perfect for camping to run a few lights and small appliances.

It will depend on what model you need and whether or not you need a vent kit, the motor, the hose, or the complete assembly. The kit is around £10. The hose is around £30. The motor can vary from £50 to £100.

You would need to check the power requirements for each appliance and compare them to the capacity of the circuit. But I wouldn't recommend it.
