We tried and tried to do it by the instructions that came with the remote, but we just couldn't get it programmed.

Then, on the web, we read instructions from a user which allowed us to program it, and it was much easier.

Start with the appliance (TV, VCR) off and turn on.

1. Press the appliance button (TV, VCR) and the ON/OFF button, holding them down until the ON/OFF button lights up. Release the buttons and the ON/OFF button should stay lit.

2. Then press the play button every couple of seconds until the appliance turns off.

3. Then press the REVERSE button every couple of seconds until the appliance turns on.

4. Then press STOP (on the bottom) to save the programming.

5. UREKA!

1) All you need is to purchase a GE Universal Remote Control (Model No. 24922) for about $14.99, then follow steps from 01 thru 07 on page #8 under "Auto Code Search" section.

2) Point the remote at the device, and test all the buttons out to see if the remote operates the device as desired? It may not work right the first time for all the "Input", "Volumn" and/or the "Up, Down, Left and Right" buttons ... If it does not, return back to step #2 and start the "Auto Code Search" process again. Best of luck! :)

Depending on the remote you have some remotes ask for a three digit codes some four and some a five digit codes is need.

I have found out 02429 works for some remotes that need five digit codes.

2288 will work for some remotes that need four digit codes.

Also, for those of you wanting to use a universal remote, I found after some testing that this uses the same code as one of the RCA codes (the 9th or 10th one) that Verizon Fios list of codes.

RCA model L32HD31 has the same IR codes as this TV for some remotes.

DirecTV remote control code is recognized as RCA TV, It has a sequence of 35 possibilities to try.

Basically you need to push the power button followed bt the device you are operating ie tv then input the first code then the leds should blink twice then push power button again if tv turns on or off depending which the set was on when you started (it should do the opposite if on at the start should turn off etc ) if it does push the ok or memory button that locks in that code if the correct one at first go should operate the set in every way if it doesnt then start again and move on to the next code you may find along the way the codes will turn it on and off but not all functions its basically hit and miss sometimes its the last code that works lifes like that sometimes if no joy with any contact the manufacturers and ask for the search code this runs through all possible codes and finds the exact one hope this helps

I would like to know how do i program a radio shack 5 in one remote 15-2200.

Easier and no codes are required; do the following:

1. Turn the TV on with your TV remote.

2. On the new remote HDA-IR2, press "Prog" and "TV" buttons at the same time until the red LED is on; release.

3. Press the "TV" button again to start the auto search and aim it towards your TV.

4. The remote will cycle through the stored codes. The TV will turn "off" when the right code is log in. You should imediately press "Prog" to stop the cycling, the code will then be saved in the new remote.

5. Press the "TV" on the new remote; your TV should turn "on". If not start over again..you were slow at pressing the "Prog" to stop the search.

5. Next program the Volume control, Press "Prog" and "TV", release, and press "Vol-" ... new remote will blink twice. This will control your black box volume. You can set the black box to near max and control the volume using the TV volume.

6. Now press "Prog" and "TV", release, and press "Vol+". You now can control the volume of your TV. If the sound is compresse or fuzzy, lower the black box volume.

To program my Samsung Bluray remote for my Sony TV I had to turn on the TV then hold down the "TV Power" button on the remote and enter the numbers 35 while still holding down the "TV Power" button. You can try 48 if 35 doesn't work.

AT&T U-verse remote control codes for INSIGNIA HDTVs (mine is a NS-24E730A12 and I have a black remote control) are: 1034, 1035, 1040, 1398, & 1465.

they will and do.. I have them hooked up as such. SOME older tvs - flat screens included" do not have the ability to unscramble the cable signal, so the signal needs to go thru a convertor box, so the tv can read that signal, and make into something you can view.

These remotes are based on "pin switch" settings matching between the remote and the receiver (ie: electric gates or garage door opener) Your remote has an access door to access its battery and dip switches. They are a series of many little white switches that are either in the "up" position or the "down" position, from left to right. The device you are controlling (gate or door, etc) has similar switches set somewhere in its adjustment settings. You must match the position of the switches on the remote to exactly match the settings on the receiving device. I used 0094 but unfortuneately universal remotes sometimes have there own codes.

Most likely it would be found in the manual, or possibly on the remote, or even in the setup up guide when you first use the remote. You could also call the company or look up their codes online.

The support person at Bell Expressvu gave me the device code of 759.

supplies me with device codes 178, 10019, 505 and 627 depending on your provider none of these seem to work on my lcd40v57ca tv. If they work on yours let me know.
