It depends on your size, shape and weight. A tall person would make a good second row. A short, thickset, strong person would make a good hooker. The smallest player on the pitch is generally the scrum-half. And the fattest would be the prop. The fastest would be the wingers. The best kicker on the team would be the fly-half. Assuming you mean in the union code; The first New Zealand touring side to travel abroad went to New South Wales in 1884 and won all 8 games, which included three games with a New South Wales Representative side. 167 points were scored to 17. The first New Zealand representative rugby team to tour beyond Australia were called "The Natives", they played their first game in Britain on 3 October 1888. All teams must have a squad of 30 players.

However, if a player is to be injured to the extent of not playing again in the RWC, the teams management can get approval from the IRB to bring in another player to replace the injured one. :) hope this helps.

There are 15 players per team playing on the field at any one time.

However, professional rugby teams typically consist of 22 players. This includes 15 named starters with 7 substitutes. In addition to these 22 there will be up to 10 additional players who are continuously trying to gain a spot on the starting lineup. Professional and representative teams also have academies, where youth players develop in the hope of playing for their pro or rep side.
