the most of the time you have to replace the whole steering column.My wife had one that go down the road and the steering would go out. I just replaced the hole column

Yes and no.. the powersteering it self is a motor that is in the steering column. a fuse power's the motor, so if you blow the fuse you will lose powersteering. If you jump start your car from the +- terminals Near the fuse box under the hood you will blow your powersteering fuse, also if you lock the wheel all the way to one side and hold it there for a good amount of time there is a chance in blowing your powersteering fuse. Always Jump your car from the battery terminals in the Trunk.

u can open the trunk and take off positive(+),or negative (-) battery pool connection.the car will turn off.

Depends on the trim level. ALL engines are GM DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinders of the Ecotec engine family.

Ion 2's, and 3's came standard with a 148 HP 2.2L (RPO code L61). Ion 3's had an optional 2.4L with 175 HP. Ion Redline's had a 2.0L engine with an Eaton M62 supercharger making 205 HP.

With the key turned on RUN, but the engine off,

go down to the oil % with the i button.

Then press both buttons to access the menu.

Scroll down to the oil life reset.

Press the right button until it says acknowledged.

Turn off key. This is the oil life reset process.

This process is described in the owners manual.

Could be the fan switch but also could be the blower resistor located behind the glove box in the heater case The heater speeds are normally achieved by placing resisters in line with the 12V power supplied to the blower. When some speeds work and others don't it is often because the resister for that speed has failed. The switch is probably OK. The resisters are normally mounted on the blower motor. I don't know the details of the Saturn but the resistor bank is normally serviced without the need to replace the whole blower motor assembly. If you have a meter and can measure resistance, you will probably find the largest resistor has failed. You may be able to replace it with one from Radio Shack. Good Luck

If you have hubcaps take then off and drive it. If the noise is gone the squeak is coming from the metal ring on inside of the hubcap. A few of the platic rivets are most likely loose. You can buy some foam tape to insulate the ring and the noise will be gone

It doesn't exist. On the top of the transmission by the firewall of the car, if you look down on the transmission with a flashlight, you will see a red plastic cap. That is where the dipstick goes, and you can buy it from your Saturn dealership. When you go in to buy it make sure ypu tell them how cheap they are not including a transmission dipstick with the car.

It depends on the car. If well taken care of, the ecotec engines are known to be able to go over 500,000 miles without issue.

One or more of the brake rotors are warped from heat, caused by braking. Riding the brakes or always being on them, are usually the cause.

I have a 2007 and I have to push the trip button until the oil life indicator shows. Once it does I have to push and hold the button until it says reset.

I AM A VERY FIRM BELIEVER IN JB WELD AND YES IT WILL FIX THAT AND ANY OTHER THING YOU CAN PROBABLY THROW AT IT. I HAD HIT A BIG DIP IN A BACK ROAD AND PUT A GOOD SIZE HOLE IN MY TRANSMISSION PAN AND I FIX IT WITH JB WELD AND A NICKEL TO HOLD IN PLACE. THAT CAR HAS SEEN 5 STATES SINCE THEN.

Pick the station you want, then hold in the button of the number you want to assign it to until the station comes back in.

Under the top cover...there is a black cap. Use either a wrench or a set of channel locks to open that up. The canister filter goes in there.
