"Gore" is about two twins. Unlike any other twins, they are very different. For examples, Lucas, the male twin, is a lot healthier, atletic, faster, and stronger than Amy, who is the twin sister. One day, while they parents were out grocery shopping, Amy was reading a book and Lucas comes out of nowhere and steals the book from Amy and runs to the bathroom. Since Amy is not as aggressive as Lucas, she has to come up with another way. So, she comes up with a plan that will physiologically trick Lucas. She pretends that she opens the door and lets in three unknown strangers who are wearing masks over their heads. Then, she pretends as if she is about to be abducted. After a while, Lucas finally gets assured that Amy is in trouble and needs his help. So, he comes out of the washroom in order to save Amy. While he does that, Amy hides behind the door as it opens, jumps up, and locks herself in the washroom and begins to read her book found lying inside.

Why is the poem The ancient mariner important to Walton?
The Ancient Mariner's trip was to the polar regions, just as Walton's trip. In fact, it was the"polar gods" who punished the mariner for killing the albatross. The reason they were so angry is that the mariner showed a total disrespect for nature. In his own way, Walton shows disrespect for nature by insisting his ship stay stuck in the polar ice because he is so obsessed with getting to the North Pole. When he finds Victor, he discovers that Victor is determined to tell his tale just as the mariner is forced to tell his tale over and over. Victor, however, knows he is dying, so he desperately wants Walton to remember his story and warn others of its consequences. This parallels the warnings of the mariner to the wedding guest. Fortunately, Walton does learn from Victor and the monster and eventually decides to row out of the ice.

What is a story about you growing into a giant using flipflops barefeet and your muscles?
I'm 6' 2" and my name is Matt and one day i was walking home from school because i missed the bus when i was confronted by an old women who told me she had the answer to my problems. My problems being very tough and so many of them i was interested. She told me that this potion she had would give me the ability to read minds if i was 10 feet from the person. So i thankfully took the potion and saved it for the next day i was in PE and my PE teacher was being a total jerk so i wanted to read his mind so i took a sip and all of the sudden i was super strong i could do anything with my muscles it was Well i could also read his mind which was totally cool i could tell what he was going to do but i couldn't tell anything else but when we were playing volleyball i noticed that when i got farther away his mind became darker and i couldn't read it. So next hour i was in computer applications and i had changed into my T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. well my friend was telling me something but i could tell he was lying and I couldn't read his brain that well so i took another sip and discovered he had a girlfriend in Cuba and they had made plans to run away, but all the sudden my feet felt cold and i noticed that my shoes were gone so i went to my locker and put on my PE shoes and they just disappeared the potion had made it so i couldn't wear shoes now that was weird. I was thinking about this and i noticed that i couldn't really tell what my friend thought about me. SO i went on throughout the school day and i got to band class and there is this girl and i thinking she may like me but i don't know so i took a sip to find out what she thought of me and suddenly i burst through the ceiling and was a giant i mean a giant 30 feet above the school then i noticed that i couldn't read anyone's mind but my own and the things i seen in my mind totally freaked me out so i ran and found the witch and asked her where a counter potion was lucky she lives on a hill and she answered the door and i was close enough to read her mind and find out where the counter potion was. unlucky it was 300 miles away across a dessert, across a ocean, and through a forest. so i took off running with my enhanced muscles and swimming with my giant bare feet and brushing aside the tree tops as though they were twigs. i finally found it and almost drank it when a loud thought came into my mind DON'T DRINK IT. I immediately looked around and found a small elf. He told me that if i drank it it would take me forever to get back so i didn't drink it and ran and swam my way back to my abode where i consumed this concoction to my surprise i was wearing shoes was back to my original height and to my total surprise i could still read minds. I immediately went and found the witch and made her drink her concoction but there was no more of the counter potion. I found out that the girl liked me and we eventually grew up married and had kids, and my kids had the ability to read minds and we all lived happily ever after.

Who wrote the science fiction novel where a starship was stuck inside the planet?
There are two, possibly more candidates. One is a Star Trek episode called- For the Earth is Hollow, and I have touched the Sun! by Harlan Ellison, this has been answered already. other possibilities lie when a UFO with dead or undead occupants is discovered on a Construction site, as in the Quatermass ( not Quarter-mass) Novels and the case of an inaccessible Dead UFO observed from a special submarine in Atlantis in one of the Tom Swift novels. Good luck- You know it could happen any day. There have long been rumors of submarine contact with defunct UFO"s that could not have been sunken ships, wreckage, etc.

What are some quotes from the book Fahrenheit 451 that make the book science fiction?
Here are a couple:
"I hope I've clarified things. The important thing for you to remember, Montag, is we're the Happiness Boys, the Dixie Duo, you and I and the others. We stand against the small tide of those who want to make everyone unhappy with conflicting theory and thought. We have our fingers in the dike. Hold steady. Don't let the torrent of melancholy and drear philosophy drown our world. We depend on you. I don't think you realize how important you are, to our happy world as it stands now."
"Remember the firemen are rarely necessary. The public stopped reading of its own accord. You firemen provide a circus now and then at which buildings are set off and crowds gather for the pretty blaze, but its a small sideshow indeed, and hardly necessary to keep things in line. So few want to be rebels anymore. And out of those few, most, like myself, scare easily. Can you dance faster than the White Clown, shout louder than 'Mr. Gimmick' and the parlor 'families'? If you can, you'll win your way, Montag. In any event, you're a fool. People are having fun."
These ones illustrate the facts that firemen aren't the same thing in this book that they are in our society, and that people don't read anymore. They show how the book sort of creeps up on you whispering "dystopia" even though these people (most of them) think that they live in a utopia, and that the firemen are protecting happiness. There are some about wall screens and more technological stuff, but nothing that we couldn't do today probably (now, well after the book was written)... but the parts that show that it is dystopic Science Fiction are still there even if technology has mostly caught up... because they show how the world has changed in this imagined future world, and how to avoid it.
