How fast will the ultimate aero go?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The 1287hp Ultimate Aero has a top speed of 270mph. The car that set the speed record for SSC was an Ultimate Aero with 1183hp, an earlier version. That car did its speed run on a country road in Washington State and had to back off while still accelerating at 257mph because it was running out of road.

The 1287hp SSC Ultimate Aero has not been to speed tested but should easily break 270. The Bugatti Super Sport was run on a special track that VW built for this purpose at 268mph, and they won't let anyone else run for speed on it.

What is the fastest speed at which a human has ever traveled on ski?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The fastest Traveling Human To answer this question, it needs to be clarified a bit first. Since all motion (and therefore speed) must be measured relative to something, we need to establish what we are measuring the speed of the fastest human WITH RESPECT TO.

It seems natural to assume that we are interested in how fast one person has ever gone past another. Or, equivalently, how much FASTER one person has gone than another. Since we are all hurtling through space at enormous speed, the humans that have gone FASTER than others, would be those discussed in the Apollo answer.

This has got to be some of the Apollo astronauts.

On re-entry of their command module to the Earth's atmosphere at the end of their mission they had been falling from the height of the moon's orbit. IIRC, Apollo 10 was the fastest re-entry of all the Apollo missions.

As it hit the top of the earth's atmosphere and started slowing down, Apollo 10's command module, with astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young, and Eugene Cernan inside, was traveling at about 11.1 km/sec, which works out to 6.9 miles/sec, or 24,840 miles per hour.

Strange as it may seem and a bit boring, as Apollo 10 sounds very fast. The actual answer is that the whole human race are traveling much faster than that.

We are all part of:-

The Earth rotating around its axis at approximately 1,674.4 km/h - 1,040.4 mph.

The Earth revolving around the Sun at approximately 107,218 km/h - 66,622 mph.

The Earth and the Sun is traveling around the galactic core at around 828,000 km/h - 514,495 mph.

However, the record must be our Galaxy though. It is moving at 1,987,200 km/h - 1,234,789 mph through space.

One last thought. We could add all these answers together if we were on the outer edge of each orbit at the same time. So it could be 2,924,092 km/h - 1,816,946 mph.

Therefore, we are all going very fast already at 812.2 km/sec - 504.7 miles/sec or 0.27% of the speed of light or Mach 2,387 (Mach = spped of sound)

I still like the Apollo answer and perhaps we could even add their speed to that of us all on Planet Earth to make the ultimate record :-)

Does not studying and getting good marks anyway mean you are smart?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Not necessarily. Getting good marks without studying may indicate natural talent or intelligence, but it may also be a result of luck, the difficulty of the material, or the effectiveness of the testing method. Real intelligence is often demonstrated through critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations, which may not be reflected in grades alone.
