No they do NOT make good pets.
If you get one imported it has most likely been taken from the wild and they have not been domesticated for thousands of years like house cats. I think it would be extremely irresposibe to buy a serval as a pet. It is bad enough seeing them in zoos let alone as pets.
Why not get a house cat as the are playful affectionate and they don't have the special needs a serval would have.
All these people spouting things they have no idea about. A serval is not a house cat and if you expect you are just getting an overgrown, long legged Tabby, you are wrong. You don't import Servals. There are dozens of highly reputable breeders that have been breeding, hand raised bottle fed for decades. Servals do have special needs. They can jump and get into just about any place in your house. Outside, you need a 10 foot fenced yard...minimum. The typically bond ith one or two people and that's it. They are meat eaters. They will use a litter box if you start early and keep it very clean. The socialize well with other cats and dogs if introduced early.
Best bet...adopt a cat.

It could be one of two things. First I would eliminate all health issues , high blood pressure,diabetes and certin medications. There are different inner ear diagnosis that all so can be eliminated.
