You can but I suggest boiling it first or using a lighter to get all the germs off- also, you need to remember that a sewing needle is super skinny so unless you can find jewelry that's the same size of a sewing needle I wouldn't do it. I pierced my own lip before but it was with an actual piece of ear jewelry so I knew that it would be the gauge I wanted it to be- plus a sewing needle kind of hurts your finger when you're trying to push it through, so I'd also suggest putting an eraser on the end of it so it doesn't stab your finger.

Sure you can if you want to get an infection. Boiling it doesn't do you any good. The water allows more bacteria to collect on the needle. Also, it only sanitizes the needle. Professionals use autoclaves which completely sterilize the needle. The sewing needle is way too small to have a comfortable transition between the needle and the jewelry. Fact of the matter is that you are not trained to pierce yourself. DON'T DO IT. Wearing ear jewelry in a lip piercing is a bad idea. The back of the earring will most likely become embedded in your lip. Save up the money to get it done by a pro. Just because some people are lucky enough to not get infections doesn't mean you'll be just as lucky.

Use the proper safety gear, such as a thimble and go slow. Be careful that you pay attention to what you are doing, and do not let your attention wander.

Spools of thread vary by length and brand. Generally, sewing thread is about 1 cent per yard. So, a spool of 250 yards would be $2.50, or a spool of 500 yards is about $5.00. The greater the yardage, the better deal you'll get. A spool of 1,000 yards is usually closer to $8.00.

Perhaps you have the sewing machine tension too high? Perhaps you have cheap thread designed for hand sewing?

I think you could try to use clay and make little things for your dolls. I've made some cinnamon or rolls out of clay for my little mini figures

Sculpey modeling clay is an excellent product for making small items.

Cotton is used for many different things. Everyone knows cotton balls which are often used and are sold in supermarkets but also clothing, tea towels, and lots of things around us. Cotton is very important because it is used for so many things and it is a very light and breezy fabric that appeals to a lot of people. Cotton is even used to help make other fabrics like calico.

I'm not aware of a 'new' machine with the model 52F. What is the manufacturer if you're looking.

I do know of a Free Westinghouse 52F. Worth 0% except to someone who wants parts.

As a matter of fact, regular non-organic cotton uses more insecticides then many, if not all, crops on this planet. Organic is always the way to go.

Thread count is already in inches. 200TPI is 200 threads per inch, and costs less than something with more TPI, generally.

First, buy a standard leather fringed vest. Second, use tie-dye techniques to put multiple colors on the back. Third, stitch peace signs and rainbows on the front and/or back. And voila, you're done!

Actually, carbon paper is NOT used in sewing, because the carbon would stain fabrics. Special sewing copy paper can be used to transfer pattern marks onto fabric and these marks can be easily washed out of the finished garment. However, that is an outdated technique that is rarely used in modern home sewing.
