Jasin Todd was officially released from Shinedown in April 11, 2008 and, being a well known guitarist, joined other bands. It is rumored that Todd joined a hard rock band called Soil but the band leader Adam Zadel (Guitarist) Promply denied this. Currently Todd works for a rock band called Fuel as lead guitarist replacing Yogi Lonich along with his bandmate from Shinedown Barry Stewart who is rumored to have got Stewart the job in the first place.

Smith also said in the Shinedown blog that "For me lyrically this is one of the most intense song I have ever written.
