I just went to my uncles houe and was looking at his two guns..1 was a 12 gua. and a 16. gua Stevens and i was researching..the company "was" located in chicopee falls, mass. If you were to get the serial number off of it.. you may be able to find iton the stock or on the barell. you may check on that n find out.. i am only 13so really don't know much but i have been researching for over 2 hours so far but it is between 1878 and 1947 if it doesnt say savage on it also
