You are 29 year old male and your resing heart rate is 116 bpm should i be worried?
If you don't get "light headed" or dizzy when you stand up, it's not necessarily a problem. It's called bradycardia, meaning slow pulse rate. If your heart is efficient and muscular, perhaps from being fit and exercise, your resting pulse rate will be lower than someone who is in poor condition. On the other hand, if you feel weak, light headed, dizzy or tend to "black out", you should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible. More input from FAQ Farmers: * I would definitely see a doctor. There is no harm in having it checked out just in case something may be wrong. My dad had the problem of a low heart rate and had to have a pace maker to correct it. Yours may not be that severe, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
Narcosis is just a term that means unconsciousness or stupor caused by any narcotic, of which most are derived from opiates (excluding synthetics). Essentially, opiate narcosis is that state in which the user has fallen into a state of unconsciousness, stupor, or in some cases, delirium, either by deliberate or accidental overdose.
It is not uncommon in patch patients, as increased activity raises body temperature and heart rate, which in turn increases the patch's dosage delivery rate. If the user isn't aware or careful of this fact, over-dosage to the point of delirium or unconsciousness is often the result.
Can you mix muscle relaxer with sleeping pills?

Can seroquel cause restless leg syndrome?
Yes. I've been on Abilify for about a month, and my legs have gotten increasingly restless. I spoke to my psychiatrist about it, and he said that it is a normal side effect that occurs in approximately 20-25% of users. He suggested to wait a bit to see if it went away, then if not, go to a lower dose or switch medications. So you should talk to your prescribing doctor about it.
Is there any age where you can no longer have bipolar disorder?
No. Once you've been diagnosed with Bipolar you will continue to have Bipolar for the rest of your life. However symptoms of Bipolar may be less noticeable once you've found medication which is very effective for yourself.
Its' caused by the brains inability to control the sleep/wake cycles. You often have it since childhood, but episodes can occur rarely and therefore very hard to diagnose. It comes from the lack of a neurotransmitter called hypocretin.
It can be caused from head trauma or loss of brain cells, stress and viruses. Narcolepsy would have to be diagnosed by a polysomnograph followed by a MSLT or Multiple Sleep Latency Test. MSTLs are performed during the day time.

How do you get nice sleep without medicine?
Acupuncture treatment is a great way to overcome insomnia without taking medicine. However, if that's not of interest, you can practice meditation or relaxation/visualization techniques to help calm your mind and ease yourself into sleep. I allot 30 minutes every night before I fall asleep to calmness. During that time, I fully stretch all my muscles and take deep breaths. This helps quiet my mind so my thoughts are keeping me up throughout the night. How long can a person go without sleep before they start to hallucinate?
It all depends on the person. In the military you develop capacity to withstand long hours without sleep. 20 years ago I could go without sleep for 6 days before hallucinations. now 2 days is enough for me to hallucinate lacking sleep. This means the capacitiy is reduced with age.

Can sleeping pills stop frequent urination at night?
I'm sorry but I had to delete and correct the previous answer that said this is definitely not true. Perhaps that answerer never read the label on a bottle of sleeping pills or knew a woman who suffers from frequent urination after taking them.
The truth is that sleeping pills CAN cause frequent urination. Be sure to read the labels because MANY over the counter sleeping pills cause frequent urination and if you're a male with an enlarged prostate, this can cause very serious discomfort. For example, a bottle of Unisom (and many other sleep aids) specifically states: Do not use if you have trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate. This warning would not be printed on the bottle if the manufacturer did not know that the pills would cause frequent urination.
Sleeping pills also increase the likelihood of women urinating more frequently because women tend to have smaller bladders than men and because of this biological fact, women need to urinate more frequently. If the user stops drinking fluids within 3 or 4 hours of bedtime (male or female) they may be able to tolerate sleeping pills however, even this is NO guarantee of relief from frequent urination when taking OTC sleeping pills.
Sleeping pills can cause absolute frustration for people who find themselves very drowsy and close to falling asleep but having to get up and go to the bathroom throughout the night. I've suffered through this many times over the years and prefer to use Ambien CR if I've had a couple of weeks of insomnia that didn't remedy itself.
So the answer to this question is yes, sleeping pills can cause frequent urination.

This could mean that a person has 'Sleep Apnea'. There are 2 types of Apnea: 1. The airway is obstructed. 2. Or, a person just stops breathing with no obstruction and is usually overweight. If a doctor suspects Sleep Apnea, they will refer the person to a sleep specialist.
How long can you go without sleeping before you die?
That depends,
There is some sort of a condition (very very rare), where the brain won't realease the chemicals needed to make you go to sleep, the result is fatal. (source: a Discovery channel documentary, the person in question went around 28 days without any sleep before dying.)
In a normal person it is very unlikely as the brain has its defense mechanisms, even if you try to keep yourself awake, with caffeine etc, everything will stop having effect.
Your brain will shut-down automaticaly to prevent permanent damage etc.
On your second week you should start to experience halicinations, this is probably due to the fact that your subconcious is slowly taking over and you see what would normally be dreams while awake.
As a side note: you will have to eat more and more to provide the energy needed to keep up the abnormal function (from personal experience). Also the odds are this does permanent damage to your body/mind/brain, i would sugest to avoid depriving yourself of sleep as much as possible.
Voluntarily, about a week I think is the record. But I did see this show on National Geographic once about a very rare sleeping disorder. The show told the story of a man, a high-school clarinet teacher, who gradually lost the ability to fall asleep. After about six sleepless months he finally lay down for a permanent rest, but not before such a lack of sleep deteriorated his body and spirit completely.

Can you buy Zopiclone over the counter?
Naturally induced sleep is the best kind and should be the first choice, if possible. If you need something to help you sleep there are over-the-counter (OTC) medications, but they should only be used temporarily. I would recommend melatonin and start with very low dosages because everybody is different. You might try just 1 mg; for many people that is enough.

Why would someone be tired all the time?
There is a secret fact that you should know.
Feeling tired much of the time (fatigue) is actually dangerous and is stealing your very life away from you as we speak.
If you're like most people you are finding it very difficult to maintain really good stable energy all day long. Let's face it, everyone has heard of the two a clock afternoon crash. Why is it such common knowledge and everyone has heard of it? Because its true!
It can be really hard to make it through the day much of the time if you're feeling fatigued. No one I know actually likes the feeling of crashing after lunch or waking up still tired in the morning or not having the energy they want to do something fun after work. But, this is exactly how most people go through their entire lives.
Then, when they just can't take it anymore they turn to the dreaded "so called" energy drinks. We all know those crazy (fry my adrenals in a can) caffeine and sugar time bombs don't really work. Well, of course they don't work, that's obvious. Because if they worked no one would be tired any more, right! Sure everyone knows they don't really work, but people are desperate!
You must have energy! Especially in today's job market where employers are handing out pink slips (your fired tickets) like they were candy. Think about it for a second. If you're the boss and you've got to let one person go. Who do you fire, the one who is Johnny on the spot, productive, smart and alert? Or the one who is always falling asleep at their computer and you have to wake them up every 15 minutes? I think we know who's getting the pink slip.
But it's much more than that. Your consistent energy drops and fatigue are not just affecting your work, your family life and your free time. They are also stealing away big chunks of your life.
We all live for experiences. We want to have time off, take vacations or just do things we really enjoy. Well Duh, of course we do. But did you ever ask the question of why we like these things?
The answer is we like to have experiences. We all want to experience new things, see new places explore new horizons. So, how are you going to do that when you are so tired you can barely keep your eyes open?
These experiences that so many people are missing out on are also our memories that we look back on with such fondness when we recount the events with friends or as we reminisce when we get older. These experiences and the memories of them represent a very big chunk of our life.
But facts are facts, without energy you will miss out on many if not most of the experiences you should have had in your life.
I don't know about you, but I'm not going to one day be old and look back at my life and wish I would have! I.E. wish I would have done this or wish I would have done that. The time for doing is NOW!
I understand exactly what you're going through. Why? Because not very long ago, it was me that I was really describing in those examples above. But all of that changed, literally overnight when I found the top ten ways to increase my energy.
There are actually more than ten ways to dramatically increase your daytime energy that I used from their free report, but below I will go over 2 of them for you.
1. This sounds stupid, kind of like a big Duh moment but: Drink More Water. Most people don't know this but over 75% of Americans suffer from chronic dehydration. And, dehydration is the number one cause of daytime energy loss or fatigue.
The method they talk about is that you fill up a certain size container of water in the morning and then be sure that you have drunk it all during the day before you go to bed. The key is that you should never actually get thirsty. Why? Because being thirsty is your bodies way of telling you that your already dehydrated.
2. This second one is also kind of a another Duh moment, but the truth is almost always pretty simple. Eat 5 to 6 small meals per day. Yes I know, that is what you hear all of the weight loss coaches harping on all of the time too. Well, as it turns out, the number one secret to weight loss is also one of the secrets to having all the energy you want as well.
The reason it works is that when you eat small meals a lot more often you keep both insulin and your blood sugar levels stable. It's nearly impossible to have constant free flowing energy all day long if your blood sugar is always high or low.
When you put these tricks into action and then combine them with the other 9 ways to up your energy what you have is a super simple way to finally get your life back.
I know this, because it worked for me too. One of things I must admit that I loved the most out of all this is, the whole thing was free.
