What do complete and incomplete metamorphOsis have in common?
i really wanted to no this answer and for my science homework i tried to research this and did not work so here is the answer to this i struggled with this and i don't want you to so here is the answer YOU HAVE TO HAVE A COMPLETE METAMORPHOSIS TO BECOME AN INSECT AND THEY HAVE 2 OF THE SAME STAGES
They are different cuz THE COMPLETE Metamorphosis STARTS AS AND EGG THEN GOES TO LARVA THEN GOES TO PUPA THEN COMES ADULT INCOMPLETE GOES FROM EGG STRAIGHT TO ADULT so there you go
A moon snail preys upon other snails and bivalves. It wraps its large foot around the prey item and then drills a hole through the shell of its victim.
The "prey"? They don't eat meat, they are herbivores. They eat soft vegetables like carrots, lettuce, and they also like dandelion leaves. If you meant what hunts slugs, frogs hunt slugs. Maybe some types of birds- I dunno.
No, they feed mainly on smaller fish for example the Neon Tetra. Tuna also feed on plankton when they are young. They do not feed on sea snails, as they cannot get through the shell.
No, snails are in the animal group called mollusks. This group includes, slugs, clams, oysters, octopuses, sea slugs, cuttlefish, squid and the nautilus. What makes these animals mollusks and not insects is the fact that they are soft bodied with either one large foot, or multiple tentacles, and have a shell, or a remnant of a shell inside they're body. They also have a mantle and some have a radula, which is a small curved mouth with a rough inside that is used to scape off plant material to eat.
What are the snail's habitat and adaptations?
· Long antennae for enhanced sense's of smell and touch
· Lubricated (slimy) surface for extra movement
In emergencies the snail can fully retract into its shell for added protection
Can freshwater snails live in a salt water aquarium?
No. when you drop salt on the ground and slugs or snails somehow pass over it, it kills them by churning up their insides!
they can't 'suck' the blood, but they can drink it if they want to.
a snails eats it's food which goes through it's digestive system.
The regions these snails originate from are wide spread including the americas (north, south and central), asia and africa. Since the deportation and releasing of them into the wild the regions they can be found now are even wider.
Are caterpillars cold blooded or warm blooded?
yes caterpillars have a heart but i don't know how many.
a slug has a tiny heart shaped organ in its sensory tenticles which allows it to smell twice as well as humans!
How does a sea anemone go to the bathroom?
It doesnt
Not true. Octopuses are a type of cephalopod. They have a full digestive system. They have an anus and eliminate waste through the siphon.
Here's a link to information on cephalopods:

If you tread on a snail and you crush its shell can it still live?
"No the snail will not live because it has all of its vital organs inside the shell".
Actually a snail can survive a lot. If there is goo and the shell is almost destroyed, its best to put the thing out of its misery. But if the shell is only cracked/chipped, or even has a hole, then the snail will regrow whats needed. Try giving it some green vegetable leaves and a shaded area to recoup, but keep checking on it to see if its okay.
Do female mystery snails always lay eggs?
Sort of: snails have both male and female sex parts, so when two snails mate, either or maybe even both can lay eggs. snails can mate with anyone, even their own children or brothers/sisters. Mine giant African land snail laid about 300 eggs, then died this morning.
What eats the giant Triton snail?
A large fish called the Maori Wrass (which also eats Crown-of-Thorns Starfish), as well as large Hermit Crabs and Octopus can eat adult Giant Triton Shells.
What temperature should slugs be in?
http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/2010.html
According to this website, the minimum temperature at which egg development will take place varies with the species of slug but is in the general range of 32 to 42 degrees F. At the minimum temperature, as long as 100 days may be required for the eggs to develop. At higher temperatures, development is usually completed in ten days to three weeks.
As soon as slugs hatch, they are active and begin to crawl or feed if the temperature and humidity are right. They are mainly nocturnal and remain motionless and concealed until nightfall provides suitable conditions for activity.
The rate of growth of immature slugs depends mostly on the type and amount of food available. Dry conditions usually result in a loss of weight which is regained rapidly when moist conditions return.
In a temperate climate, slugs usually live one year outdoors. In greenhouses, many adult slugs may live for more than one year.
What in salt makes a slug die?
It's all caused by the principle of osmosis. Osmosis says that the concentration of minerals inside and outside of a membrane must be the same. When a watery slug cell comes into contact with pure salt, water seeps out of it to dilute the salt to the same concentration as in the cell, thereby draining all the cells and killing the slug.
