How do you get rid of spiders in the house?

Use a pesticide "bomb" in the house to kill them. Then buy outdoor pesticides to spray around the houses windows, doors, and foundation to keep them from returning.

I use an item you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot. It's really a mouse trap, it has this really sticky substance on it and when something walks on it, it sticks to it. I don't have mice but I do have a lot of spiders and this thing works great for trapping spiders plus other insects. Just place them around the house, garage etc. and let it do the work. No smelly or unsafe chemicals either.

Buy some clove oil. Sprinkle it under doors, smear around windows. Spiders hate the smell and won't come in. The only downside is your house smells a little bit like a dentist's surgery.

House: Make sure to clean your house every week; don't let food lay around.

Windows: Spiders loves to hang out on window sills. Make sure you keep your windows shut and clean them. If there are spider webs or eggs on the windowsill, spray them with water and suck them up with a vacuum cleaner.

How do you get rid of spider mites for ever?

They are tough. I am assuming that you are reffering to a greenhouse situation. Because in nature, these little pests are controlled by mite predators, which are mites themselves. Indoors, it's a little more difficult and sometimes if it's really bad, you have to dump everything and sanitize and just start over.

First off, sanitation is paramount. Don't let anybody bring something over as a gift. Don't bring in anything in from a discount store unless you know it is bug free. If possible, grow everything from seed or at least bug-free cuttings.

If it's too late for that, then try soap solution sprays. Fog a solution of say 10% Dawn onto the plants and make sure to get 100% coverage. Repeat every two to three days because new eggs will be hatching out and the spray doesn't affect the eggs. Rinse and repeat. It may take two months or more.

If you try to use insecticides, you will kill any mite predators and the red mites will develope a resistance to the pesticide and you can't win that one.

If it's really bad, just start over. It will save you time.
