I just wanted to add a response to this question. I was told to abstain from sex if I was having any kind of spotting/staining during the first trimester of my pregnancy. spotting while your pregnant is not normal, but after sex is. The reason why you stop aftersex means that your ripped a little and that is normal just try to be more careful with sex next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. i know from experience :) hi it's lulu and when you spot when your pregnant your either having sex too much or you are having it to rough. dont get worried it wont affect the baby
Cramps and breast tenderness can be a sign of pregnancy, but they can also be a symptom of PMS. If you don't want to wait until you are late, call your doctor and ask for a blood test. These can detect pregnancy faster than an at home test. Just a side note: stress can cause your period to be late. Try to relax, things always work out. Also, if possible, you may want to look into the pill or birth control patch or another form of birth control. The use the condom as a backup. That way if it breaks it's not as "scary." Two ways is better than one. Good luck, I hope you get the answer you want.
Yes. I had friend bleed almost all the way through two pregnancies. You should immediately seek medical attention to make sure that it isn't anything serious, because it could be a separation of the placenta or something very bad. See your doctor immediately.
It depends on the IUD. I was on Mirena and I missed several periods, I can't tell you about other makes.
I have a IUD for thre and a half years. I havn't had a single period.
It depends whether you get a hormonal or non-hormonal IUD. I have an IUD that is non hormonal, and just contains copper. This causes a hostile environment for sperm (as copper kills sperm) without affecting my ovulation or other hormonal patterns. Hormonal IUD's are available which repress ovulation and some can also create a mucus plug which aids in preventing sperm from getting past the cervix. Nice to know we have options :)
You're heart is currently supporting yourself, and another (tiny) human being. Your heart rate will probably be something like 15 beats per minute faster than usual, because of the extra workload.
Hmm...it depends is the spotting happening while ur suppose to be on ur period? cuz if so then that's a sign...but if i were you id wait a week or two then test again, you could be preg but it could be to early to tell. if ur really that unsure though u can go have a blood test taken and you'll kno alot faster! hope i helped. you can email me anytime. i wish u the bes tof luck with everything xoxo
Yes its possibly you could be pregnant. You do have some of the symptoms.
I suggest you go to your doctor and have a blood test/examination as these are more accurate than the home tests. Good luck!
maybe , I was wonderring the same thing, We r trying 2 get pregnant I took ovulation test, had my LH Surge, ovulated, sex b4, & after, now I spotted (Dec 17th&18th) ( i believe it was implantation) not due for my period until Dec. 25th, now wondering if fertilization occurs(i conceive), had implantation bleeding/spotting, took test 2day 20th-21st, neg, I heard well if implantation occurs I'm pregnant right? so now itz whether it's productive, i had early miscarriage last month, showed 2 lines, but 1 faint:( <3LauraK
No, call your doctor right away. IT DEPENDS ON HOW ADVANCED YOU ARE IN YOUR PREGNANCY. IMPLANTATION BLEEDING CAN OCCUR SEVERAL DAYS AFTER YOU HAVE OVULATED. Yep it could be normal. If it started a little before or around your first "missed" period. I thought I had a period last month cause I spotted for a week and had major cramps but this month no period and I JUST got a +++++ pregnancy test! Good Luck. Depends of each person. I had a very light brownish spot when I was about 2 weeks pregnant. Now I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I have a little bit of cramps, and everything is working out normally. Thanks God. Good Luck to you ;o)
Yes. This is usually left over blood if your pregnant or implantation bleeding.
I'm not an expert and I do have IBS. I have light cases and strong cases and I have cases were it starts and stops. Light cases are when i have a small amount of dairy in me and all it does is growl with some gas or none at all. Strong cases where I have to go to the restroom in 30 minutes. A case of start and stop is when I take a walk around the house. This case is where it has been several hours already and nothing should have happened but it did. I say, if it growls, its your stomach and a possible case of light IBS.
I've been diagnosed with IBS too, and I also experience some odd movement in my lower abdomen, usually only on the left side.If you figure this one out, let me know... It feels like something is 'kicking' me...I also experience some throbbing, like a heartbeat, but I'm definitely not pregnant. I'm concerned that it may be another bowel problem (more than IBS) but I'm extrememly nervous about bringing it up with my doctor. As you said, I feel like he'd look at me like I'm from Mars.
Vaginal bleeding or spotting can occur during pregnancy for many reasons. This can be a very frightening experience for an expectant mom. If you experience any bleeding during pregnancy contact your doctor immediately. Some women will have spotting or bleeding during early pregnancy. Twenty to twenty-five percent of women have spotting or bleeding during pregnancy. Half of these women go on to have no other problems due to the bleeding. This can be caused by many reasons.
Hello i was wondering the same thing. How did you go at the doctors? was it a misscarry, or was it implantation bleeding? Please reply, i think i am pregnant. Did you get any cramps for a couple of hours when you where bleeding this brown blood?
Hi, i might be 5weeks pregnant though i strongly believe that I'm only 3weeks.. My last period was March 25, 2008 and today is April 28,2008 and I'm having this thick brown spotting, it's mixed up with transparent mucus. Just a little amount of it but after few minutes it became watery and dark red and in greater amount that doesn't appear to be in spot stains anymore.. Anyway, my breasts feel bruised and im having back pains and cramps but the cramps got worse while im bleeding or having the brown spotting.. Is that just a 7 days late period? or it is a clear sign of pregnancy? pls. reply..
The stomach looks like a big, pink bean with two little tails: one on the end and one on the beginning.
I am 7 weeks pregnant after having a frozen embryo transfer. I have been spotting continously since with one episode of a heavy bleed with loss of tissue and clots. My doctor has kept me on progesterone pessaries as well as provera to control the bleeding but I am still pregnant and yesterday a healthy fetus was confirmed on ultrasound with a heart beat of 146. == ==
I'm not sure. I would look up old wive's tales to compare, but the best way to tell is to have them. Sometimes, even the scans will be wrong. So the only way to tell is when u have the child :D But w/ your hips getting bigger, I would just say that it's your body getting ready for the birth, because you need big hips to get the baby through easier.
Prenatal Care is very accurate and doctors and various tests as well as fetal heart pulse are consistently checked...it is very unlikely that if indeed there was a miscarriage at twelve weeks that it would not be dectected on visits. Dr.'s are pretty accurate, but the first time I was pg,the dr. could not get a heartbeat. They told me you usually can not hear the heartbeat till twelve weeks. So they told me I may have miscalculated how far along I was. I knew I was right and started spotting and decided to see another dr. . Finally after seeing this dr., I found out that the baby's heart had stopped beeting at 11wks.and I was almost 17wks along. The dr. did a d&c. My case may have been very rare, not to say that it happens to everyone, but there is a small chance that it could happen. Best of luck to you!!!
Not really. If you are bleeding, you should see a doctor. It could be nothing and it could be serious. Most likely with a miscarriage you will have pain in your stomach and the blood will be chunky, but not always. I'd see a doctor if I were bleeding any amount at all, with or without pain.
Most likely your condition is rare and should not be taken lightly. go to this URL for more (1227.com)
girls discharge when the eggs not got any sperms that's why when the population of ur eggs is so much then they discharge but in pregnancy i think most of girls discharge and some of not some of little and some of not but that doesn't means u r not discharge for more then 2 month u may be contact with u doctor this is god for u and ur baby....tarzan bhai....
Bleeding for an hour probably isn't the best sign, but if it stopped and you arne't having any other symptoms, you're probably fine. If it was very heavy and painful, you should talk to your doctor. If it was your 4th or 5th time ever, you may have "popped your cherry" this time and not before.
In most cases implantation bleeding is not a large amount of blood, while the amount does vary from woman to woman.
My first child 15 years ago..lol..yes i did say 15 years...the "spotting" i had was sorta heavy like a period only shorter..and yes i did have some cramping......i thought i was miscarring but carried her full term. This time my husband is SURE we're pregnant..same bleeding....but NOW the blood test has come up negative at the 14dpo......so to be honest it depends on everything from the weather to ur body.
It is only a spot or two as it is caused by the fertilised egg burrowing into the wallof the uterus and the fertilised ovum is smaller than the head of a pin.
About 30% of women experience it.
It will not be heavy like your period. It will be light to medium bleeding which lasts a few hours to less than 3 days or it can be blood on tissue paper, red, brown or pink vaginal discharge or spotting of blood. According to Contraceptive Technology, implantation will occur approx. 5-6 days after ovulation.
Hi Implantation bleeding is a tiny bit of blood which can happen from 1 up2 3days. 1 in 3 women get it so its rare. mine was pink stringy blood in my discharge which just happened at 4 pm one day. Its nothing like a period some girls who have a period while pregnant call the period Implantation bleeding for some reason which confuses them they should call it a period cause it kinda is its nothing like Implantation bleeding through pregnancy if your having a period while pregnant so I'm not surprised if your confused.
Most people think its a period which is totally wrong. Hope I help and also it can be stringy or thick loads of girls are different
Implantation bleeding can be heavy like your period - that's the way it was with me. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for a year, and after another month of trying I thought my period had arrived. The only difference was that it was a couple days shorter than usual. It wasn't until the next month when I noticed constant nausea and breasts so sore that I couldn't bare to shower with my chest facing the showerhead. I took a pregnancy test BEFORE I expected what was soon to be my next period, and found out I was pregnant.
I still thought my implantation bleeding was a period, and it wasn't until my first ultrasound that I discovered I was a whole month further along than I had thought
I've had implantation bleeding with both previous pregnancy's. With my daughter - it was literally as pink princess mentioned above - a one time pale pink discharge, only seen once. The second time with my son it could have been mistaken for the beginning of a period. It started on pink and moved to a browny discharge and then a few days of bright pink bleeding - but there wasn't any clots as you would expect with a period after a few days or really strong enough to need a towel/tampon etc. I'm experience what I think is implantation bleeding with hopefully my third and it is repeating my second experience so far. It's worth mentioning with my son (2nd) child I experienced it for slightly longer than 3 days - perhaps 4 or 5. Ordinarily I have very heavy periods which last slightly over a week 8-9 days.
Had I not have been through this before - I would have suspected a normal period. With a second I do believe if you've experienced this before you can tell the difference.
I hope this is of some help to somebody.
I'm not really sure if im pregnant, but i had unprotected sex with my partner twice that night..and a week after i started feeling like shooting mild pains in my abdomen..then in the mornings i get not so bad or long sicknesses..then on the day my period usually comes wich was on feb 2,i only spotted light blood..but only once when i wiped.. then 10 after wich was yesterday..i woke up and went to the restroom and i started bleeding..bright red..not as heavy as my regular period..but sort of heavy..and im not really sure if i was just imaginating stuff cuz i was excited to get pregnant..wich i dont think so..or i am but i got a heavy implantation bleeding..i dont know....rightnow im just waiting to see how long it lasts..mine originally lasts 6 to 7 days...so i hope i am...=(
I'm kinda of in the same boat and im not sure what to do myself, i already have one child, and just now as we speak i had my period 2 or three weeks ago and than i got on the 7th a light pink discharge, than the next day brown, than on the 9th it started off as a slight flow and is still continueing, it seems like a period, cramps and all but this never happens to me, i get cramps a week before my period i dont bleed between periods, could this be implantation?
I'm a bit confused at the minute. Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for the past 5 months. I came on birth pills 5 months ago and we have regular sex. My Periods went back to pretty much regular straight away!
It is a week before my period is due, and i started bleeding yesterday, it is not enough to need a pad, but it looks like it's heavy when i wipe (sorry if too much info!). I'm confused, everyone says implantation bleeding does not look heavy and is only a few spots, i have had this for two days! Every time i wipe it looks like alot of blood, but there's nothing on the pads!
My husband and I have been of and on trying to get pregnant this year..every month i know when my period is supposed to begin, and then i hope for the best, a YES...but the last few times i have gotten my period as usual....this time I am still waiting my period should be her on Dec 13 2010. but today 12/8 i noticed some light pink blood....and i became excited because i have never seen it before, but i have read about it...i still have alot of feeling like cramps, so i hope its not my period...but it scares me because now it is more red, and its not a few spots.....
Well me and my bf had unprotected sex a few weeks ago i was expected to get pregnant and well now i feel tired all the time and i feel the need to sleep and my breast are sore but not that sore but a couple of days after that i was expecting my period and well it did not come until one night i was asleep an i got up and went to the bath room there was a light pink discharge at first den it got a little brownish after a day of that it got bright red/pinkish and heavy like my period n its said that implantation bleeding it light but i would like to know if i could still be pregnant
I think" its my period came yesterday (8th of April) but my period came early than usual and at first it was spotting pinkish and then it started goin a lil heavier like my period but normally when my period come i have 2 use 2 pads because it runs very heavy but i can use one cuz not much get on it and everytime i wipe a good bit of blood is there like my period but on the pad there is not much there compared to what usual get and the cramps are twice as much and a lil back ache.....can someone tell me what this is because i read on the internet that implantation bleeding is only pinkish or browny spotting.
Spotting and mucus can be normal at 17 weeks, especially if you have recently had intercourse or an internal physical exam, such as a pap smear. However, if it is accompanied by abdominal pain or nausea you should see your doctor right away.
As long as it is only a drop, not accompanied by cramps or anything you probably have nothing to worry about.
Bleeding is a symptom of miscarriage, not the cause. If a woman is miscarrying, it usually means the embryo/fetus has already died and the bleeding starts when the body recognizes that it is no longer pregnant and starts to clean out the uterus so that the fertility cycle can begin again.
Well your HCG level is to double about every other day, and you have had tracking done if it dropping in number than I would say yes, for you to be 4 weeks pregnant and your count be 157 the doctor would tell you if he thought it was low for that time. But with the bleeding and cramping I would call hime right away, if you go in for another blood test see if you number is going up, if it is staying the same or dropping I would say you are having a miscarriage.
