Clubfoot basically means that the dog has, usually from genetics or poor initial diet, an issue in whihc its feet turn slightly in/outwards, due to the front leg bones not growing properly. my rescue dog was so underfed that his bones did not grow properly and now he has a slight clubfoot, where both his front little paws twist slightly outwards like a ballet dancer in the 1st position. treatment is dependent upon the severity of the disability; for example I won't get my dog surgery to fix the problem as it does not interfere with his quality of life at all. what is inevitable apparently is that when the dog gets older, they will suffer from arthritis, so glucosamine and pain relief will probably become part of the routine.
