A single action gun must be manually cocked before each shot (pull the hammer back, then pull the trigger). A double action may be fired by just pulling the trigger.

My first shotgun was a springfield Model 67 around 1973-74. I dont know about the "E" but mine was a 20 gu shotgun

According to the Blue Book of Gun Values these guns were produced between 1937-1942 and some 11000 were produced.

Savage made about five models on that design, with a few marketed under the Springfield name to the chain stores. Value would be around $250.

Normally, a utility single shot is worth less than $100 even in the best condition, but the 28 gauge can change that. In the Midwest the gun will not sell at any price and in the Northeast it will bring a premium.

Its hard to say what the exact age and/or value would be. J. Stevens Arms Co. began producing the Model 15 springfield in 1938. It retailed in the Sears and Roebuck catalogue for $3.18. In really good condition it is probably worth about $100.

I want to know the age of this rifle, when it was made? from what year to what year ? or do you know? Is stevans stil in busines?

a lot goes in to what the gun is worth. i have an 1894 model and I've seen the value on good/excellent condition models from around $600 to more than $2k.

depending on when the gun was manufactured, the condition of the piece, whether it is in original condition, etc, etc, and who is willing to pay what, all affect the value. I am NOT an expert, but this answer is based on online research.

This serial number is from 1929. The rifles value depends on many things..bore wear, muzzle wear, throat erosion, stock condition, does it have any special paperwork as to previous ownership, are all the numbers matching, is it a National Match rifle and the list goes on from there. Market value on a post WW1 1903 Springfield will start at about $200.00 and go up from there. Take it to a few local gun shops and ask them to give you an aproximate valve on it. But don't let someone talk you out of it until you are comfortable with the value of the rifle, some sell for as much as $3500.00 if everything is in its favor. Rifles manufactured prior to or during WW1 are of greater quality and value and should bring $400 and up depending on condition and care during the past 90+ years. If you think you have an heirloom, disassemble and examine for rust, the worst enemy off firarms.

I can tell you the Springfield name was discontinued in 1948. Value would be from around 250.00-350.00 assuming it's in very good to excellent shape.

Value depends on condtion, how bad you want to sell it, how bad someone wants to buy it, what caliber it is, any accessories, the box, original papers, etc.. Range 250-550 USD.

The model was discontinued in the 1997/1998 time frame. No longer profitable, what a shame. In my opinion, one of the all time greats.

I have almost the same revolver, you find out what is the value?

I just purchased a 30-40 KRAG Springfield, and payed $220.00 for it.. I researched it on-line before hand and saw them fairly close to the same condition as mine for $500.00 up to around $800.00. Took it to a local gun dealer and two of the employees there looked it over and said I had made a steal.... and that it was worth at least $500.00 maybe even more. The third guy looked at it and said it was only worth about $175.00.... as far as the value of a 30-40 KRAG.. depends on who you talk to. further research showed a value between $275.00 in poor condition ti $1750.00 in good.......

About all I can say without more information from you is that it was made after the 1894 patent date and 1916 when "and tool" was removed from the company name.
